Our second thought was wow! thanks to all the incredible features of the place. Like all the Ada O'Day condos, the furnishings and fixtures are top-notch. Unit 5 has an open plan living-dining-kitchen. The living area has a plush sofa and loveseat which are situated from which to enjoy the beautiful gas fireplace. The kitchen is fully outfitted with every appliance you may need (including a dishwasher and garbage disposal) and a full compliment of utensils and cookware. The dining area has ample space for four people. The absolute most impressive amenity of this condo are the views of the lake - why watch tv when you can enjoy the view of the Big Water When the weather is warmer, you can even enjoy these views from your own private patio, located just outside the living-dining area. brbrThe unit has two bedrooms, one with a king mattress and the second a queen-size mattress. The king bedroom has a full bathroom with a walk-in shower. The second bathroom has a tub (don't forget to pack your bubblebath!). The living room has a plush sofa, two upholstered lounge chairs, all of which are oriented to enjoy the gas fireplace. Windows run along the one wall, letting in ample light and offering a partial view of Lake Superior. The kitchen is stocked to handle whatever meal you want to prepare, with full-size appliances, ample utensils and cookware, and even a dishwasher. The dining table seats four. And if you wish to dine alfresco, you can enjoy your own patio just outside the unit!brbrThe bedroom has a very comfy queen bed and a fantastic en suite bathroom, complete with a tub (nothing is better than a hot bath after a long day walking around Bayfield!). The first thing you'll notice is how light and airy the combined living-dining-kitchen area is, with windows wrapping around three sides. And then you'll glance out the windows and take in the beautiful views of Lake Superior, less than two blocks away. Trust us, we never, ever get tired of enjoying the beauty of our Big Water. Everything about this condo is clean and modern. The living room offers plush seating for the crew: a comfy sofa and two lounge chairs (each with an ottoman to help you really kick your feet up and relax). The focal point of the living area (other than those views!) is the gas fireplace. The kitchen is incredibly well-outfitted for self catering with full-sized appliances (even a dishwasher!). Four folks can pull up a stool to the breakfast bar and the separate dining table also has seating for four.brbrEach of the three bedrooms has a queen-size bed (and fabulous mattresses!). There is a cozy sitting area with two chairs in one of the bedrooms, and then a single comfy chair & ottoman in another bedroom. The primary bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. The other two bedrooms share the second bathroom, which features a bathtub (so bring your rubber ducky!). The living room has two huge unique panoramic reflective windows surrounding you, giving you views of the northwoods and wildlife (reflective windows means you can see outside, but the wildlife cant see in!) The main cottage also has a full kitchen and bathroom with a skylight and heat fan, vaulted ceilings throughout the cottage giving plenty of natural light. Cozy up next to the propane fireplace/stove in the living room while you enjoy the wooded views. brbrOur Rock Garden Cottage begins with a view of our rock garden as you drive up, a beautiful perennial garden, as well as an outdoor firepit surrounded by cedar chips and solar lit tiki torches. As you enter the 2-level cottage the main level bedroom has two queen beds comfortably sleeping four. Up the stairs the 2nd level offers a large walk in closet, spacious bathroom with granite countertops, a large walk-in Italian marble shower with complimentary toiletries, heat fan and towel warmer, great in the cooler months. Community quiet hours are enforced daily between 10pm and 8am. brbrHEALTH DEPARTMENT LIMITS:brEach cottage is approved by the Bayfield County Health Department to accommodate a maximum number of guests deemed appropriate to the cottage style. All guests must be registered. Adding guests after registration is strictly prohibited. The local health code is regulated and monitored. brbrCOMMUNITY BEACH: brEnjoy the community`s private beach and covered picnic area as you look out at the Apostle Islands. Be safe; absolutely no climbing on the rock wall. The jagged boulders are unstable and shifting daily. The marina land, docks, furniture, and clubhouse adjacent to the community beach are for paid marina members only. There is no public bathroom available at the lakefront. The parking spaces at Roy`s Point Marina are for boaters renting the marina slips only. Please walk, using either the trail or road system, when visiting the beach. brbrPARKING: brGuests are allotted space for two cars or motorcycles at each rental cottage. No RV, boat, or trailer parking is allowed at cabins. Parking for excess cars and alternative vehicles is available for a small nightly fee adjacent to the marina. The Brickyard Creek Association, residents and/or rental agents assume no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings in or on the Brickyard Creek property. brbrATV`s & UTV`S:brAll-terrain vehicles and snowmobiles are not permitted on Brickyard Creek roads. brbrALLERGY-FREE ZONE: brAll cottages are allergy-free rentals, only a handful of cabins allow pets— no pets without prior approval. NO smoking or burning incense or candles allowed. Per the State of Wisconsin smoking ban, this includes smoking on decks and/or screen porches. brbrCAMPFIRES: brEnjoy the community fire pit located near the beach by the gazebo. There is usually firewood available. DO NOT pick up wood on the common grounds, private lots, or along the trails. Be alert to wind and weather conditions. Fast-moving embers easily burn holes in sails of boats at the marina or start forest fires. Please be careful not to build roaring fires. Do not leave fires unattended and ensure they are fully extinguished when leaving the area. Fires are not permitted anywhere else on BYC properties. brbrGRILLS: brPropane or electric grills are available at most properties for guest use. Guests shall be required to clean grills after use. Failure to do so will result in a $25 fee. Propane should be TURNED OFF after use and cover placed on grill AFTER grill is cool. Please notify Windseeker Rentals when propane runs out. brbrHOLDING TANKS: brThe majority of the Brickyard Creek Cottages have holding tanks, not a sewer or septic system. Please don`t run water unnecessarily or flush any feminine products. We ask that only registered guests to the cottage unit use the bath/shower facilities. brbrGARBAGE & RECYCLING: brOur community recycles cans, cardboard, plastic, and glass— we hope you will too! Garbage and recycling dumpsters are located just past the intersection of Roy`s Point Boulevard and Brickyard Creek Road. Please `free your recyclables` by placing them directly in the dedicated dumpster or use a paper bag. We are charged an added fee for every plastic bag found in our recycling dumpster.
