Welcome to our family's cabin! “Castle Point” is a rustic 2 bedroom cabin located directly on the Chain O’Lakes. You will have access to both the upper and lower chains. Beasley Lake is deep and clear of vegetation off the end of the dock for great swimming. The cabin sits on a 1 acre wooded lot overlooking the lake with a large private dock (bring your boat) and fire pit. We provide two kayaks and two canoes as well as firewood. The cabin is a short drive to restaurants, boat rentals and shopping. Maximum occupancy is 8. No pets. No parties, events or large group gatherings.brbrA few things to consider before you read further:br-Guests must bring their own bath and beach towels. All bed linens are provided.br-If your party is more than 4 people please be prepared to utilize the screened-in sleeping porch. All bedding for the porch is provided but guests make up their own beds on the porch upon arrival.br- This is a summer cabin with no central heat. Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, air conditioning, screened porch with view of the lake, dining porch, seasonal gas fireplace, fast Wi-Fi, smart TVs (log into your own streaming apps, no cable), board games, outdoor fire pit and charcoal grill. 2 kayaks, 2 canoes, beach chairs for the dock, water noodles and firewood are all provided.brbrBED LINENS/TOWELS: We provide all sheets/blankets and pillows for the beds. The cabin is not available to rent during the winter/freezing weather.brbrTHE LAKES/SURROUNDING AREA: Beasley Lake is a peaceful no-wake lake connected by a short channel to Long Lake and the rest of the Chain. The shoreline of Beasley is natural so there is no beach or hard sandy bottom but the water at the end of the dock is deep and free of vegetation for great swimming. There is a ladder for easy in and out of the water. Larger wake lakes are adjacent to Beasley for boating, waterskiing and tubing. The Upper Chain is also easily accessible by nearby Beasley Creek for kayaking and canoeing in a tranquil state park setting. We provide two kayaks and two canoes. Beasley Creek is a great shallow spot for kids to play. Tom Thumb mini golf is two doors down from the cottage and Hartman Creek State Park is within walking/biking distance. Boat launches and rentals, restaurants and shopping are also nearby.

Our bay is no wake, which offers peace and solitude and some of the best fishing habitat on the lake. Long Lake is a pristine, full-rec lake located 9 miles south of Waupaca in Waushara County, Wisconsin (please note: this is not part of the Chain of Lakes). The lake is 254 acres in size with a maximum depth of 71 feet. It offers a vast variety of fish...including Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Walleye and Northern Pike. It's also great for almost every type of water recreation, including jet skiing, water skiing, kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boarding. While we have beautiful lake frontage, we do not have a sandy beach. There is however, the perfect sandy swimming spot within our bay just a short paddle or boat ride away. There is a 22-foot pontoon boat on site available to rent. We also have 2 kayaks (1-double and 1 single), a canoe and a paddle board for your use, which are included in your stay. brOur NEWLY RENOVATED cozy cottage offers Mid-Century charm and is perfect for a romantic couples getaway. Reese's Retreat, named 50 years ago when our parents bought the property, is located on Beasley lake, the last lake on the fun-loving, water-sport mecca of the lower chain, connecting via Beasley Creek to the peaceful nature sanctuary of the upper chain. brbrSit on the wrap-around deck and watch the world go by. Enjoy fishing/swimming off the dock to our private swim raft not far offshore, or my favorite: float with a cool drink and catch up with those you love. No worries about the kids in kayaks or floats: Beasley is a safe, no-wake lake. The middle of our lake is a favorite for swimmers, as is the sandy shore at the end of adjoining long lake where all ages float, put chairs in the shallow water to talk, throw balls, play or just generally splash around. 2 kayaks, a stand-up paddleboard, a rowboat, floaties of every description and a canoe are included with the rental. Pack a cooler and tour the lakes, tie up at Clear Water Harbor for live music and eats, or park on a sandbar in style.brbrOur large lakeside yard is surrounded by beautiful plantings, which create a private space for your group to play volleyball, Frisbee, or have an after-dark campfire.brbrThe main level's open floor plan allows the great room with it's wood burning fireplace to flow into the kitchen so no one is left out. A connected 3-season porch offers outdoor eating without hassle or mosquitoes. Lots of seating and a gas grill steps away on the deck make things easy. After dinner it's a short walk to Tom Thumb's mini-golf, then a s'more-making, story-telling session around the fire pit. Or you can choose to do nothing but sit on the deck, listen to the frogs and watch for shooting stars.brbrOur family purchased the property in the early 1960's, and replaced the original cottage with this large house in 2005 to accommodate our growing brood. We designed the walk-out level to be quite separate. It consists of a big screen entertainment center, huge leather couch with built-in recliners, 2 bedrooms which sleep 4, a bathroom, wet bar with fridge, and the laundry room. If your family is like ours, you have early birds, but you also have night-owls who like to watch movies, eat chips and make lots of noise into the night. No problem. This arrangement keeps everyone happy.brbrOn rainy days, you can watch movies or play games in front of the fire, or explore the authentic late 1800's main street with shops, restaurants and even The Rosa, an old-time movie theater playing films suitable for all ages.brbrOn sunny days, the Chief Waupaca stern wheeler or Lady of the Lakes motor yacht out of Clear Water Harbor Marina offer narrated cruises while beautiful scenery goes by. The hardy among you can take the famous crystal river trip from nearby Ding's Dock. Offering both tubing and canoe options, it can be rough-and-tumble, but great fun indeed!
