Your ideal vacation starts with ample parking for 6 vehicles right out front of the home! Enter through the sunroom and take a load off while taking in the beautiful views of the lake. Observe the open concept as you enter the home and look out the sliding doors to the lake. Sit on the sofa and take in the natural beauty of the property! Trees on the property keep our home private while still allowing picturesque views of the water! The kitchen is stocked up with pots, pans, plates, silverware and cups. There is a refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and coffee maker. The master is on the main floor and has an attached full bathroom. The master has one queen bed and a desk. br The 2nd bedroom is also on the main floor with one queen bed and one full bed. There is also one more full bath on the main level. Upstairs find two additional bedrooms. The 3rd bedroom has one queen bed and a twin bed. There is also space in this room for an air mattress or a pack and play. The 4th bedroom has two queen beds and many windows as well. There is a third full bathroom on the second floor between the two bedrooms. Downstairs on the basement walkout level you will find a bar area with plenty of stools along with a high top table to hang out at. The basement also has a pool table for your enjoyment. There is a half bathroom on this level along with a washing machine, dryer and additional refrigerator. Walk down to the waterfront from the deck or the lower level. The deck offers additional seating along with a charcoal grill. The lower walkout also has a picnic table for even more seating! The shed offers plenty of inflatables to enjoy on the water and additional chairs for lounging. There is a firepit for hanging out in the evening and roasting marshmallows. Enter the lake through the gradual walkout or take a plunge off the end of the dock into 8ft of beautiful spring fed water! Calm Waters is definitely a gem on Limekiln Lake. We are a no wake lake so no worries about jet skis and boats speeding by while the children (or you) are swimming. However, when you want to go to a recreational lake and enjoy water sports we have two recreational lakes just around the corner from the home! We have 4 kayaks, a stand up paddle board and paddle boat for your enjoyment! There is also a pontoon boat available for rent. Please contact us for information if interested. br Calm Waters is a 0.5 mile walk from Indian Crossings Casino, The Wheelhouse Restaurant, Oakwood Park and Scoopers Ice Cream! The smell of waffle cones when you walk into Scoopers is truly mouthwatering! Calm Waters is also a quick 2.5 mile drive or a 10 minute boat ride to Clearwater Harbor Waterfront Restaurant and Bar! Dock your boat and enjoy the bands that play on their pontoon! Downtown Waupaca is about 7 miles away and Stevens Point is 28 miles away. Hartman Creek State Park (2.4 miles away) offers biking, hiking and snowshoeing. This includes the main living room, the downstairs with wet bar, and the back patio which has a year-round Gazebo Style bar (O'Bryan's Pub) with lots of windows to let in the light. brbrRelax in the courtyard style patio, or enjoy beverage in O'Bryan's Backyard Bar! Free firewood for the firepit outside!brbr***Please CONSULT with Host concerning your PET prior to booking. ***brbrO'BRYANS PUB: Built in 2018, we transformed the mother-in-law suite into a bar heated by a pellet stove and other amenities such as a 55 inch HD Samsung TV with full access to apps and sports programs. 100 year old barnwood creates an accent wall, providing for a true Wisconsin feel. The WIFI password will be provided upon booking. Wood and pellets are free and you can burn as much as you would like during your stay. The pellet stove works as easy as pushing an off and on button. brbrINSIDE: There are two bedrooms on the main floor, both with queen beds. There is a charming modern bathroom that has a walk-in rain style shower, heated floors, and a whirlpool bathtub. Further, there is a master full bathroom and a half bath in basement. The basement pairs as another bedroom due to the egress window which contains another Queen bed. brbrThere are three couches throughout the home, one of which slides out to a bed. This would accommodate sleeping for four if needed.brbrTV's: All TVs in the house are Smart Samsung 4k HDTV with access to all apps.. The downstairs TV is smart via Roku. brbrOUTSIDE: The home sits on .71 acre lot that you will have access to. Woods align the backyard that connect to another lake providing for an intimate and private setting. The space includes a large firepit with court yard style outdoor lighting hanging between the home and garage for ambiance. There is a remote for the lights that can be dimmed and on a timer. brbrBOAT LAUNCH: The main boat landing for the Chain on Taylor Lake is walking distance. One can easily drop their water recreational vehicle off at the landing and park back at the house without issue. This avoids long walks in between docking as this landing gets extremely busy in summer where people park miles away. Not to mention you avoid the launch fee altogether.brbrIn essence, this is a great location for easy access to the main Waupaca Chain of Lakes' boat landing, shops, and bars with a private backyard to kick back and relax... brbrThanks for looking!

The second bedroom has two double bunks (sleeps up to 4). The living room features a wood burning fireplace for the cooler months. The second efficiency cabin is part of the property from May 1st to October 1st and sleeps 2 in the bedroom, and if you need , has room in the living room for an air mattress. Perfect for the kids. Our bay is no wake, which offers peace and solitude and some of the best fishing habitat on the lake. Long Lake is a pristine, full-rec lake located 9 miles south of Waupaca in Waushara County, Wisconsin (please note: this is not part of the Chain of Lakes). The lake is 254 acres in size with a maximum depth of 71 feet. It offers a vast variety of fish...including Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Walleye and Northern Pike. It's also great for almost every type of water recreation, including jet skiing, water skiing, kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boarding. While we have beautiful lake frontage, we do not have a sandy beach. There is however, the perfect sandy swimming spot within our bay just a short paddle or boat ride away. There is a 22-foot pontoon boat on site available to rent. We also have 2 kayaks (1-double and 1 single), a canoe and a paddle board for your use, which are included in your stay. brOur NEWLY RENOVATED cozy cottage offers Mid-Century charm and is perfect for a romantic couples getaway. It features 2 bedrooms, a full-size bathroom, full kitchen with all of the amenities, free Wi-Fi and a Smart TV. Go out on the lake with your favorite watercraft to soak up the sun. brbrEnjoy the pool table, dartboard, movies and other indoor games on a rainy day. Make dinner on the grill, over a fire, use the kitchen or even walk over to one of Bethany’s restaurants to pick up some food. Downtown also has a variety of unique dining choices for you to try out. The Retreat House has everything you’ll need to truly unwind.brbrBethany’s Retreat House is located right on Shadow Lake, which is a prime location to see Waupaca’s annual 4th of July fireworks.brbrThe house is close to a city park which has a playground, picnic area, two shelters, bath house, fishing pier, boat launch, and museum. The sandy swimming beach has a raft, slide and diving board. Lifeguards are on duty Memorial Day through Labor Day.brbrClose to the Retreat House is Bethany’s Crystal River Walking Trail with rest stops and boardwalks that extend to oversee the Crystal River.brbrbrbrbrbr

Welcome to our family's cabin! “Castle Point” is a rustic 2 bedroom cabin located directly on the Chain O’Lakes. You will have access to both the upper and lower chains. Beasley Lake is deep and clear of vegetation off the end of the dock for great swimming. The cabin sits on a 1 acre wooded lot overlooking the lake with a large private dock (bring your boat) and fire pit. We provide two kayaks and two canoes as well as firewood. The cabin is a short drive to restaurants, boat rentals and shopping. Maximum occupancy is 8. No pets. No parties, events or large group gatherings.brbrA few things to consider before you read further:br-Guests must bring their own bath and beach towels. All bed linens are provided.br-If your party is more than 4 people please be prepared to utilize the screened-in sleeping porch. All bedding for the porch is provided but guests make up their own beds on the porch upon arrival.br- This is a summer cabin with no central heat. It can be heated but please read the note AC/Heat below. The bedrooms and living room have AC.brbrABOUT: Castle Point is a rustic cabin/cottage located directly on the Chain O' Lakes. It was built over 100 years ago and has been in the same family ever since. We provide a vintage Northwoods experience. The cabin is old and rustic but with tons of character and charm and is very well loved. We do our best to provide a clean and comfortable space with various updates and some modern amenities. If you are looking for a fully updated space or hotel experience this may not be the place for you. Also please note that there are numerous steps leading down to the lake (see photos).brbrThe cabin is situated on a peaceful 1+ acre wooded lot overlooking Beasley Lake. There is a large private dock with room for a boat. Inside there are 2 bedrooms (1 queen, 2 twins) plus a screened-in sleeping porch with 4 twin beds. Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, air conditioning, screened porch with view of the lake, dining porch, seasonal gas fireplace, fast Wi-Fi, smart TVs (log into your own streaming apps, no cable), board games, outdoor fire pit and charcoal grill. 2 kayaks, 2 canoes, beach chairs for the dock, water noodles and firewood are all provided.brbrBED LINENS/TOWELS: We provide all sheets/blankets and pillows for the beds. We do NOT provide towels except for hand towels in the kitchen and bathroom. You must bring your own bath and beach towels.brbrBEDROOMS/SLEEPING PORCH: There are 2 bedrooms--one with a queen bed and the other with 2 twin beds. Additionally, there are 4 twin beds on a screened-in sleeping porch. There is a ceiling fan and floor fans for use on the porch. Fleece blankets are also provided for each porch bed. ***The sleeping porch is screens only. You are OUTSIDE.***brbrAC/HEAT: The bedrooms and living room have air conditioning and heat. Each room has it's own mini-split wall unit or window unit, no central air or heat. The cabin can be heated very well but please keep in mind if you are staying early or late in the season during chilly weather you will need to heat each room individually. Space heaters are provided for the bathroom and kitchen. The gas fireplace can also produce heat but it is not guaranteed to be operable. (We will try to have it on if the high temperature is 65 or below). The cabin is not available to rent during the winter/freezing weather.brbrTHE LAKES/SURROUNDING AREA: Beasley Lake is a peaceful no-wake lake connected by a short channel to Long Lake and the rest of the Chain. The shoreline of Beasley is natural so there is no beach or hard sandy bottom but the water at the end of the dock is deep and free of vegetation for great swimming. There is a ladder for easy in and out of the water. Larger wake lakes are adjacent to Beasley for boating, waterskiing and tubing. The Upper Chain is also easily accessible by nearby Beasley Creek for kayaking and canoeing in a tranquil state park setting. We provide two kayaks and two canoes. Beasley Creek is a great shallow spot for kids to play. Tom Thumb mini golf is two doors down from the cottage and Hartman Creek State Park is within walking/biking distance. Boat launches and rentals, restaurants and shopping are also nearby.

Swimming is the 'jump-in' variety, off the dock to our raft. brbrThe Waupaca Chain O' Lakes is a premier Wisconsin vacation spot, known for it's crystal clear connected spring-fed lakes and fun family atmosphere. Reese's Retreat, named 50 years ago when our parents bought the property, is located on Beasley lake, the last lake on the fun-loving, water-sport mecca of the lower chain, connecting via Beasley Creek to the peaceful nature sanctuary of the upper chain. brbrSit on the wrap-around deck and watch the world go by. Enjoy fishing/swimming off the dock to our private swim raft not far offshore, or my favorite: float with a cool drink and catch up with those you love. No worries about the kids in kayaks or floats: Beasley is a safe, no-wake lake. The middle of our lake is a favorite for swimmers, as is the sandy shore at the end of adjoining long lake where all ages float, put chairs in the shallow water to talk, throw balls, play or just generally splash around. 2 kayaks, a stand-up paddleboard, a rowboat, floaties of every description and a canoe are included with the rental. Pack a cooler and tour the lakes, tie up at Clear Water Harbor for live music and eats, or park on a sandbar in style.brbrOur large lakeside yard is surrounded by beautiful plantings, which create a private space for your group to play volleyball, Frisbee, or have an after-dark campfire.brbrThe main level's open floor plan allows the great room with it's wood burning fireplace to flow into the kitchen so no one is left out. A connected 3-season porch offers outdoor eating without hassle or mosquitoes. Lots of seating and a gas grill steps away on the deck make things easy. After dinner it's a short walk to Tom Thumb's mini-golf, then a s'more-making, story-telling session around the fire pit. Or you can choose to do nothing but sit on the deck, listen to the frogs and watch for shooting stars.brbrOur family purchased the property in the early 1960's, and replaced the original cottage with this large house in 2005 to accommodate our growing brood. We designed the walk-out level to be quite separate. It consists of a big screen entertainment center, huge leather couch with built-in recliners, 2 bedrooms which sleep 4, a bathroom, wet bar with fridge, and the laundry room. If your family is like ours, you have early birds, but you also have night-owls who like to watch movies, eat chips and make lots of noise into the night. No problem. This arrangement keeps everyone happy.brbrOn rainy days, you can watch movies or play games in front of the fire, or explore the authentic late 1800's main street with shops, restaurants and even The Rosa, an old-time movie theater playing films suitable for all ages.brbrOn sunny days, the Chief Waupaca stern wheeler or Lady of the Lakes motor yacht out of Clear Water Harbor Marina offer narrated cruises while beautiful scenery goes by. The hardy among you can take the famous crystal river trip from nearby Ding's Dock. Offering both tubing and canoe options, it can be rough-and-tumble, but great fun indeed!
