Pool and Spa – Closed for the SeasonbrThe Pool and Spa will remain closed and will not open this summer season. Pools are not addressed until Phase 3 of the recovery plan implemented by the State. If everything were to go according to plan the earliest they could open would be the end of June. However, the only information available at this time sets capacity restrictions with stringent cleaning requirements and social distancing. The chlorinated pool water is basically safe. The Board made its decision based on exposure to pool monitors, not being able to ensure the safe cleaning and disinfecting of the restrooms and high touch surfaces throughout the pool area specific to COVID19 requirements. The design of our facilities makes it difficult to maintain proper social distancing - ourbrshowers/bathrooms are long and narrow, the entry way is congested, the spa is small and our pool deck is relatively narrow. With reduced capacity limitations it would be difficult to administer a fair and cost effective means to limit maximum use at any given time.brbrbrbrRelaxation and beauty await you at Hartstene Pointe, a gated community on Hartstene Island.
