With the marsh grasses being steps away from Madame Liberty you can also enjoy great birding and photography opportunities, etc… so be sure to pack your binoculars and camera. The closest area of the beach to Madame Liberty is Pedestrian Beach. This is a small section of beach in Surfside that is for pedestrians only…no vehicles, golf carts, atv's, etc… are allowed on the beach at any time. You can conveniently park along Beach Drive, and within a couple of steps you will be at the water's edge. You can also park at Jetty Park with bathroom facilities, playground equipment and enjoy the great fishing, crabbing, walking the jetty and watching the cargo ships come in and out of the port. If you prefer to park on the beach then you can take the short drive down to Middle Beach or County Beach that allow vehicle traffic on the sand.brbrThis beautiful house is in walking or biking distance to the brand new Geo Bird and Butterfly Nature Trail. We recommend accessing the beach there. About a minute walk or if you have a golf cart you will cruise there in no time. There is a whole house water filtration system AND a water softener/treatment system on this property, we have never had issues with our water quality, however we still recommend bringing drinking water. We have also provided a water dispenser system (just BYO 5-gallon jug!) and a deep freeze to store ice during your stay. There are plenty of beach chairs and toys that we welcome you to enjoy while you are staying in our wonderful property! We have a lovely outdoor shower for use downstairs that offers hot and cold water for a quick rinse after the beach.
