Well, we are one of the few cabins that accept pets (on a per case basis) but we have found that our doggie guests have been some of the most wonderful guests we have had. brbrAs the owner of a Bull Mastiff my wife and I find it nearly impossible to find a place to board him for under $50.00 a day and then we have to pay extra to have him walked, tucked in, read a story, get a bath and all the other things they get us for! Usually it costs more to board our pets then it does to stay!brbrWe only have a couple of rules about pets - We require guests bringing pets to kennel their pet while out of the home for the safety of the pet and the home and instead of just putting them in the laundry room we have done what I think may be one of the only ones in our area...ESPECIALLY at our price range....we have dedicated a full room (about 6x7 room) as a private comfortable space for your pet while you’re out enjoying the town. brbrYou are welcome to keep your puppy in another area but must use your own crate and must be crated while not in the home. brbrNow you can go out and enjoy your day and not worry about what you’re coming back to. Please note you must indicate pets on checkout. Charge is $95 per pet up to a maximum of 3 dogs. Some guests may not be familiar with the cabin style architecture and not realize the upstairs bedroom has NO door. It is a loft style bedroom that is open to the downstairs living area. There is a locking bathroom in the loft that DOES have its own door.brbrAlso, be aware that this cabin in located in the woods, on top of a mountain. You may encounter a daddy-long-leg (or two) and some cobwebs. Our cleaners do their best to remove these before your stay but they seem to come back often. Don’t freak out, they are harmless and are just sharing the space with you.brbrNo refunds will be given due to bad weather or acts of nature that are out of our control. brbrAs far as the roads go, the journey to our cabin is not that steep. It may scare you if you are unfamiliar with the windy, Tennessee roads. The driveway itself is not steep and if you've been to the area before, you'll have no trouble. 4-wheel drive may only be needed in inclement winter weather. We do not offer refunds for weather, so be prepared to wait out a snow storm. While snow is rare, our winter guests hope for it, as it makes the mountains more beautiful. There are some hills and curves to navigate, but nothing extreme. After all, you can’t expect to stay in the mountains...without driving up a mountain.brbrUber will come to the cabin and take you straight to the action. Although lately they have been very short staffed so sometimes you can not secure a cab. Just plan accordingly brbrAbsolutely no fires! Resting Eagle lies 8.7 miles (20 min) from Pigeon Forge, 15.6 miles (30 min) from Gatlinburg, 11.6 miles (20 min) from Townsend, 14 miles (30 min) from Sevierville, and 8.3 miles (15 min) to the entrance of Smokey Mountain National Park.
