Welcome Home to the Courtney House! The Courtney house is located on the cove of Eutaw Springs where fishing off the private dock can be very rewarding. The dock is newly renovated with pole holders and lights for night fishing. Our former guest caught 36 catfish off the dock during their 4 night stay! The 20'x40' boat ramp located on the property gives fishermen the opportunity to launch their boats easily right from the house. Sit on the dock and watch the osprey dive for fish and the occasional bald eagle soar above the cove. Bring your boat, your fishing pole, or favorite book to enjoy a little piece of heaven in Eutawville. As the day closes, the fire pit is ready for an evening under the stars. brbrThe property hosts 5 bedrooms (2 kings, 2 queens, 2 sets bunkbeds-4 twins), 3 full baths, a spacious dining room table(seats 8), large family room with 65 TV with satellite. Family room has extra large sofa, breakfast table (seats 6), and foosball table, along with board games, cards. Washer and dryer, dishwasher, full kitchen. Boogs Cabin at the Lake is your cozy, laid back getaway on the big water of Lake Marion. With three comfortable bedrooms (1 King 2 Queen), bonus game room that also has a pull-out full bed and two sleeping cots, large sliding glass doors in the living room that invite natural light in and offer views of the great outdoors.brBoogs Cabin offers a long dock that is on the big water next to a small beach area you can swim in or pull your boat up to. The property also has a loading dock on the other side that is located in a small cove that leads to the big water, coming out next to Big Cat Head Landing. Our property also has its own boat ramp next to the loading dock. The boat ramp does have some trees and fencing nearby this may be difficult for some to maneuver around. While my family has had no issue using the ramp, we cannot guarantee suitability for all vehicles or trailers. Guests are responsible for determining whether their equipment can safely access the ramp if you are having problems with the space Big Cat Head Landing has a ramp just a few streets over from our property (0.8 mile). brbrInside the house you will find a big living room with a fireplace, at this time we ask that guest not use the fireplace and apologize for any inconvenience there are candles in the fireplace for your use. The home can sleep up to ten people it has three bedrooms, two bathrooms (master only has a tub) and a game room. The laundry room has a washer and dryer for your use and any cleaning supplies you may need can be found in the small closet by the dryer. The kitchen we have stocked with just about everything you may need. The porch on this home is fairly big, one area has glass windows and is open to the screened in part of the porch, from that area you can walk out onto the deck part that has large steps going down towards the dock. If you are needing an earlier check in time, we can try to make that work depending on cleaning schedule. Feel free to reach out the day of arrival and we will do our best to accommodate. brbrThere is another small yellow home on the property that is not available with the rental. This home may be occupied at any moment by the owners, although this is rare, guest will be notified beforehand. We live close by, in the same neighborhood as this home and are available to help with anything you may need.brbrAny decor or wall colors are subject to change and photos will be updated accordingly. Bed linens and towels may be different at any moment then in the pictures provided. brbrThis home does not currently have a wheelchair accessible ramp. The front door has 7 steps going to it. The back door only has 3 steps; all sets of steps have railings. There are a few raised thresholds where the flooring transitions in the home. Guest requiring mobility assistance should be aware of this change in level. We will be working hard to try to make our home as handicapped accessible as we can but at the moment, we want to be transparent with what we do and do not have. brbrThere is security cameras located on the property. We will make you aware of where they are located and how they work.brbrYou may be wondering why we call it Boogs cabin; we named both homes on the property after nicknames we have for family members. One is on the corner of the house closer to the front door. The second camera is at the wood line looking directly towards the front door area so that we can see both homes on the property. These cameras are motion detected and also record sound. We want to make you aware of where they are located and how they work. We do not move the cameras or log on unless absolutely necessary. Please do not cover the cameras, mess with or block them for any reason. brbr-Fireplace brAt this time, we are not allowing use of the fireplace. We do have candles in the fireplace you are welcome to use only in the fireplace area. Please do not play in or on the bricks it is a large fireplace and does have a padding area you are welcome to sit on. brbr-Trash and CleanlinessbrPlease place trash in trash cans in the home, once the cans are full place the bag outside of the back door next to the steps in the big bin and someone will retrieve the trash daily to haul off or at another discussed time. Please keep the home in reasonable clean condition at checkout. brbr- NO SMOKING OR VAPING OR ANY SUBSTANCE USEbrPlease reframe from smoking or vaping inside the home. We will provide ashtrays on the porch please dispose of cigarette butts properly not in the yard or the lake. brbr- Number of guests.brWe allow up to ten people in the home. No Partys. brbr-PETSbrWe do not allow any pets. brbr- No rearranging of furniture or removing any items and altering any decor or any part of the home.brIf furniture is in the way of your mobility or when letting out the pull-out bed you can move it off to the side. Please do not take items out of the house. Do not alter any of the items or structures of the home inside or out. brbr- No diving or jumping off the docks. brThe water levels changes in this lake all the time and because this is a man-made lake there are still plenty of stumps and moving logs. There is a sink on the dock for use of fish cleaning, please do not use any chemicals the water goes into the lake. USE THE DOCKS AND BOAT LANDING/LAUNCH AT YOUR OWN RISK. brbr-Please make sure any items you may bring on the dock is secure; we are not responsible for any lost or dropped items. Please close the umbrella on the dock when not using or during high winds. brbr- Use boat ramp at your own risk.brThe cove where you put your boat into from the boat ramp can be deep or very shallow at times, we have no way of knowing what the water levels may be when you arrive. From our experience the middle of this cove is actually much shallower than the sides and it also tends to have a lot of grass debris in the middle beneath the surface that could be caught on your motor so make sure you use with caution. brThe boat ramp does have trees and fences nearby and may be hard for some to maneuver a vehicle and boat trailer. If this is the case, please go right down the road to Cathead Landing Santee Cooper public lake access to launch your boat. This is in the neighborhood and not far at all from the house (It is only 0.8 of a mile away). You can drive your boat back around in the cove to park it at the loading dock on the property or the other way to the big dock. USE THE DOCKS AND BOAT RAMP AT YOUR OWN RISK. brbr- Please be respectful of our neighbors. brWhile we cannot control what our neighbors do, for the most part this is a very quiet area but occasionally you may hear our neighbors celebrating or having a good time.brbr- Respect the wildlife. We ask that you leave all wildlife alone, please DO NOT touch or feed wildlife and reframe from any type of disturbance and/or harming any of them. Have all your proper fishing permits if necessary and if you are here during gator hunting season and are legally obtaining a gator do not do so on the property. Absolutely no deer or raccoon hunting even with the proper license. Disturbing/harming any wildlife will get you removed from the property.brbr- Damage and AccidentsbrWe understand accidents happen, please notify us promptly so we can address them. brbr-Please note the neighboring property has a fence that is painted in multiple colors (you will see in photos). This fence was painted prior to our ownership. We personally enjoy its character but wanted to share this detail in advance for full transparency, we hope you like it as much as we do!
