Overview We ask that you treat this home as if it were your own property. Please be aware of the condition of items in the house, and if you notice anything broken when you arrive, contact us to let us know. We also ask that you watch noise levels to respect the neighbors. We do NOT allow parties or events. We do not allow groups larger than 15 at the house. No more than 7 cars at the house and no street or lawn parking is allowed. There is plenty of parking available in the driveway. Parties or Events We do not allow guests to throw parties or events at the property. Any group larger than 15 adults is considered a party. We greatly appreciate your compliance on this as we want to be respectful to the neighbors and their right to peaceful enjoyment of their property. Please be respectful of the neighbors and mind the noise level, especially around or on the dock and outside areas. No fireworks or loud music. Extra Guests We do not allow unauthorized guests in the house. Only the number of guests listed on the reservation (maximum of 15 adults) are permitted to be at the house, inside or outside at any time. This is to deter any excessive noise or destruction of the house. Quiet Time: Please be respectful of the neighbors and ensure that noise levels are at a minimum starting at 10 PM until 8 AM the next day. Parking A maximum of 7 vehicles are allowed at the house unless specifically agreed upon in advance with us. Please park your vehicle in the driveway. These are your designated parking areas. Parking here will ensure that you can easily come and go as you please. Parking is prohibited in the street and on the lawn. Locking Up Remember to lock all doors when you leave and at night. Trash Disposal You will find a trash bag provided in the kitchen. Any additional use of trash bags must be provided by the guest (we provide a reasonable amount for your stay but some guests use more than expected). Trash gets picked up every Monday. Please be sure that if Monday is during your stay or the day of your check out, that you place the roll cart at the street. Dishes You will find plenty of dishes and glasses available for you to use. Please be sure to be careful with the glassware and let us know if any are broken so we can replace them. There are plenty of entertaining dishes, plates, bowls, pots, pans, blender, storage containers, coffee mugs, wine glasses, cutting boards, outdoor grill etc for you to use. We just ask that you place all dishes back where they were to help make it easier for our staff to do inventory. Please load and start the dishwasher prior to checking out if you have used any dishes. This ensures we have enough time for the dish washer to fully run before the next guest checks in. Pets We do allow pets in the house and they must be approved by the owner, but no cats due to individuals that have allergies. Evidence of pets at the property without permission could result in a fine of up to $500 per pet. Furnishings Take care of all furnishings. Do you not damage or stain furnishings. Please do not rearrange furniture. Please no tape, adhesives or holes in the walls to hang up any decorations. You will be responsible for all damages to property and/or its furnishings. Broken Items If for any reason you break an item during your stay, please let us know. We understand that accidents happen, but in order for us to fix or replace something for a future guest to enjoy, we will need to know that it is broken. We appreciate your honesty. Child Safety Do not leave children unsupervised; you are fully responsible for their safety at all times. Please be sure to wear life jackets at all times around the lake and dock. Please make sure children are supervised around the lake and on the balconies at all times. Safety Close the windows and lock the door when leaving the premises. Please use the dock area safely, no jumping or diving off the dock. Boats are permitted to dock at the floating dock; however, docking your boat is at your own risk. No more than 2 boats are permitted at the dock at any one time. Please do not leave chairs on the floating dock. Please return them to their designated area after each use as the wind can knock the chairs into the water. Please no climbing and jumping off of the railings. Garage The garage is off limits Smoking The home is a non-smoking. Smoking inside of the house is prohibited. Please smoke outside and dispose of your cigarettes in the trash. Evidence of smoking inside the property or discarded cigarettes on the grounds can result in a $250 fine. We appreciate your compliance! Illegal Substances Absolutely NO illegal substances or underage drinking is allowed on the premises. This will result in immediate termination of your rental agreement and you will be asked to vacate the premises. Checking In / Out Check In is 4 pm unless otherwise agreed upon. Please check out of the rental by 10 am unless previously discussed with us. The housekeeper will arrive around 10:05-10:15am. Checking out by this time ensures that we have enough time to clean the place and get it ready for our next guests. When you check out your door code will be deleted out at 10 am unless arranged otherwise. Please remove all food items from the refrigerator and cabinets, place trash in provided roll cart and turn off any electronics and lights prior to check out. Please place dirty linens in a pile. Please set the thermostat to 70 if the AC is on and at 65 if the heat is on. Lock all doors and windows. Please be sure to lock the laundry room and downstairs bathroom and place the key on the kitchen counter. Please make sure all dirty dishes are placed in the dishwasher and the dishwasher started before leaving. Once again, we appreciate your compliance with these rules. The office has doors and blinds and can be treated as an extra bedroom. Downstairs is a bunk room with 2 sets of bunkbeds, a king bed, and a TV. There are 2 living rooms with smart TVs and surround sound for watching movies. The second living room has a pool table and the first has a small dual zone wine fridge.brbrSpend the day kayaking, fishing, or floating off the dock. The dock has a 16 x 16 covered gazebo with TV and fan. You will also enjoy viewing the lake from the fully furnished 400 square foot screened porch with small refrigertaor, fire table, dining table, TV. Kayaks are available for your use or bring your own. In addition to the ice maker in the refrigerator, there is a standalone icemaker in the laundry room that makes 100 pounds per day and holds 29 at a time. There is a hot tub, 2 kayaks, shuffle board table and private dock.brbr*Living Room*brThe front door enters into the main living room. There are two spinning recliners by the entrance that can overlook the water, or interact with others in the living room. This is a great spot to enjoy your morning cup of coffee. There is plenty of room to socialize in the large open floorplan. The focal point of the room is the vaulted pine ceiling. There is a 60 inch tv and Roku sound bar over the custom brick fireplace. Brand new gas logs were installed in the fireplace that you can easily turn on with a flip of a switch. You may log into the tv with your personal streaming apps, or use the Direct TV app to browse cable channels. There is also a Bose bluetooth speaker for guests to enjoy. The extra large L-shaped sectional and chaise lounger has a queen size pull out memory foam mattress. There are two sliding glass doors that connect the living room to the oversized outdoor deck. brbr*Dining Room* brThe farmhouse dining table can seat up to 8 guests (there is an additional 8 person dining table on the deck as well). With its location beside the sliding glass patio doors, you get a great lake view from this location. Tucked into a corner beside the dining table is a built-in bar for storing your wine or cocktails. The nearby buffet table has board games and extra serving dishes inside. brbr*Kitchen*brAdjacent to the living room, the open concept kitchen is still right in all the action. The 3 ft x 5 ft island has barstool seating for 3 guests, and a beverage fridge for extra storage. No expense was spared on the quartz countertops, soft close cabinets, and stainless steel appliances. There is a high end Blendtec blender that is great for making smoothies or blending cocktails. The fully stocked kitchen is equipped with all of the essentials you will need during your stay. There is a deep built pantry in the nearby hallway for storing all your vacation yummies. Please note: There is no garbage disposal at this property due to the septic system. brbr*Deck & Outdoors*brThe oversized 40 ft x 16 ft deck is a great place to spend most of your time. You can see the sunrise to your right, or the sunset to your left. Dimming cafe lights set the perfect ambiance for your getaway. There is comfortable lounge seating for 5 people, and a gas fire table that you can easily turn on and off with a knob. The 8 person outdoor dining table can convert into a shuffleboard table underneath. There is a 4 person 220 volt hot tub with lake views. There is a relaxing hammock overlooking the lake shore. brbr*Kayak* brThere are two 10 ft sit on top kayaks on the left side of shed. We have provided adult and kids life jackets, which we require you to use when using kayaks.brbr*Lake and Private Dock*brBring your boat or rent one at one of the nearby Lake Murray Marinas. There is parking available for one boat on the 16 ft by 8 ft floating dock. There is also plenty of lakeshore to swim and float around. You can access the swimming area from the ladder on the dock, or via steps on the shoreline. Message the host if you will need trailer parking. The closest public boat ramps are Rocky Point, Hilton, or Eptings Landing. There is also great fishing off our dock. Common fish by our point are catfish, bass, and bream.brbr*Bedroom One*brQueen bed with Temper-pedic mattress, rustic wood bed frame, two nightstands, full length mirror and a dresser. There is a closet and tall bed frame for storing luggage. This room has a 24 inch smart tv for streaming. Fresh white bed and bath linens are included in all bedrooms. This room has a lake view and a beautiful Lake Murray watercolor painting created by local artist Rachel Parker. There is a 24 inch smart tv for streaming, ceiling fan, and a private closet. The double wall sconces dim independently, which makes this room a great spot for reading at night. brbr*Bedroom Three*brThis room has a Twin bed over a Full bunk bed with memory foam mattresses. There is also a pull out trundle, but we don't suggest using this unless you have a young kid and are in a pinch. The trundle blocks the floor air vent when pulled out fully. The bunk beds have wide steps and safety railings, and each step has a large drawer that pulls out for storage. There is also a closet and pull out storage bins. brbr*Bathroom One* brThis bathroom connects the living room and laundry/hot tub entrance and is the larger bathroom of the two. The custom striped marble shower is a show stopper!! It gives the bathroom a fun nautical feel, and the gold finishes add a touch of warmth. The 10 inch shower head is ultra relaxing. There is a hair dryer and first aid kit in the vanity drawers. There are 5 wall hooks for plenty of room to dry bathing suits and towels. brbr*Bathroom Two* brSmaller in size but still fully functional, bathroom two is in the hallway outside all three bedrooms. This shower/tub combo has marble tile and a mosaic marble tile shower niche. The built-in medicine cabinet helps with extra storage. brbr*Laundry Area*brBetween bathroom one and the outdoor deck is a small laundry room/mudroom equipped with a full size washer and dryer, folding area, cleaning equipment, and hooks for drying towels. This exterior door is great to use when you are wet or coming in from the hot tub since it connects the outdoors with a shower/bathroom area. There are outdoor chairs stored here that can be taken out to the dock.brbr*Kids Play Shed* brThere is an 8 ft x 12 ft outdoor play house great for little girls. Complete with a play kitchen, dining area, dress up station, doll house, and chalk board wall... There are plenty of things to entertain them for hours! You will have access to the whole home except the locked owners closet and the outdoor water shed where the water purification system is located. Regular pest treatment is done both inside and out, but it is very easy for pests to slip in if the doors or windows are left open. brbrWe do not allow parties. All guests swim at their own risk and are responsible for providing their own life jackets in the event provided life jackets are not the correct size. Guests may tie their boat off at the dock at their own risk. brbrSomeone comes by to clean the hot tub weekly, normally on Wednesday evenings. We also regularly have yard maintenance, pest maintenance, and other routine maintenance workers on the exterior to keep the house looking its best.brbrbrbr- Don't catch anything on fire. The candles are only there to look pretty so please don't light them. Please turn off the fire pit when you are done and don't get tipsy and set something down near the open flame. Smoking is for outside only, rain or shine. br- Keep your hands to yourself: No touching the boat, locked owners closet, or water shed. br-We will provide you with enough bed linens. Please don't use the extras unless you have an 'accident', in which case you will be charged an additional $20 linen fee. br- Please keep your car wheel on the pavement and off the grass so you don't break our fancy sprinkler heads. br- Don't go swimming without a life vest unless you can swim like Michael Phelps. Keep the trash cans away from the house so the sugar ants don't get ya. br- Our view may be big and beautiful but our driveway isn't. Please leave your tractors, tanks, airplanes and souped up trucks at home. br- The only thing that should go in the toilets is toilet paper, and the only thing that goes down the drain is water. We have plenty of wastebaskets for everything else. There is also a half bath. Downstairs also has a large living area and full kitchen and a screened in porch with a large TV, couch, chairs, table and a pool table. Both porch's are water front with incredible views of the lake. There is lillypad for water lounging on the lower porch you are welcome to use but please, place it back on the porch when all done. Please limit the total number of cars/trucks/trailers to 8 total per county requirements. brbrDinner time on Lake Murray frequently means lighting up the grill. Which one to light will be one of your toughest choices of the day at Haymar House! Blackstone Propane Wood fire with swivel grate Take your pick!!! brbrYou can also add an optional tritoon rental delivered to your dock! The tritoon boat includes a 2 person tube and adult life vests, and can be used as long as the sun is out! No having to drive to a rental place at 8am and wait in line and sign 30 minutes worth of papers only to return and empty the boat by 5:30. We won't even mention the long fuel lines you will face at return time, or the expert level inspection they put the boat under to find ways to charge you extra. We meet you at the house at the home's private dock! When your done, throw the boat keys on the kitchen counter and we handle the rest. The rental boat is not allowed out at night- sorry! We also do not allow smoking or pets on board. brbrYou'll enjoy quiet evenings under the stars, listening to local toads, frogs, birds, crickets, Osprey's splashing in the water for their supper and the occasional fish jumping in the lake. Only a 5 minute drive to enjoy the outdoors at Dreher Island State Park!brbrThe SpacebrThe cottage is approximately 1100 sq feet. Plenty of room for a family to comfortably stay. The living area is a good size with high ceilings and natural light, and the two bedrooms are of a good size as well. One bedroom closet is locked for the owners, and a dresser has been provided for guests in that room. The closet in the other bedroom are for guest use.brbrNo cable TV, but the internet is high speed and the ROKU TV in the living room can stream your favorite apps. No tv's are located in bedrooms. The yard is large, and the lake is endless. Go outside and enjoy!brbrGuest accessbrThe GPS will take you right to our driveway where you will find parking for up to 3 vehicles. There is a spot to place your boat trailer as well.brbrOther things to notebrThe closest public boat landing is only 5 minutes away at Dreher Island State Park. There is a gas station/convenience store with basic supplies, non-ethanol gas, propane fill station, and firewood (The Station II), only 3 minutes away.brbrChapin has all of the supplies you need to stock up for your trip- Several grocery stores (Publix, Lowes, Food Lion), ACE Hardware, Pharmacies.
