Warren's Point in Little Compton - Blissful views, Victorian house

Little Compton, Rhode Island, United States

We rent the North End of this large and lovely house. You'll have a comfortable and private space that's perfect for a couple or small family. You'll love the ocean vistas, the large yard for playing games, the covered porch for reading and chatting. There are three bedrooms (double bed, twin beds, single bed) 1.5 baths, outdoor shower, combined living/dining room, a small kitchen, a large covered porch, a hammock under a shady tree, and a large yard with ocean views. The yard is well-suited for whiffle ball or other outdoor games.brThe house is located on a private point, within easy walking distance to either the swimming beach (Warren's Point Beach Club) or the 'rocky beach.' The beach is private, so if you want access, you will need to become a temporary member ($450/week).br For bicyclists and runners, this is a delightful location because you can enjoy biking or running on shaded, scenic country roads. At night, you'll fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. In the morning, you'll wake up to the sun rising over the ocean. brYou won't regret taking an off-season vacation; September and October are very nice, as are May and June (though the ocean is cooler for swimming then). The nice part about renting in before June 15th and after Labor Day is free access to the swimming beach; it is a private beach club during the summer and incurs an additional membership fee. brbrNote: The State of RI assesses a rental tax that gets added to your fee. The cleaning fee is an additional $80 (paid in cash at the time of departure),

On the weekends, no fewer than five farmers markets are open each spring and summer. brbrPLEASE NOTE: Zoning ordinances in Little Compton prohibit the rental of residential properties as wedding venues. We deeply regret any inconvenience.

Coastal ponds flank both ends of the Preserve, making it one of the top birdwatching spots in the RI. For a change of scene, drive to Horseneck Beach and State Reservation in nearby Westport, MA, one of the most popular facilities in the Massachusetts State Forests and Parks systembrbrLittle Compton enjoys warmer water than the rest of New England because Cape Cod blocks the cold Labrador currents from reaching the south facing beaches in RI, allowing warmer water from the Gulf Stream to penetrate the area's waters. As a result, South Shore and Goosewing beaches are popular with swimmers and surfers. We provide enough boogie boards for the entire family, as well as a surfboard for the surfer in the family.brbr
