You'll be 40 minutes from both Newport and Providence but feel like you are a million miles away. The master suite has a king bed and a private bath with a Jacuzzi tub. There are two bedrooms on the first floor with a shared bath. One has a Queen bed and the other has two twin beds. The fourth bedroom is located over the garage in a private suite with two twin beds. Both sets of twin beds can be converted to king beds with advanced notice. The gourmet kitchen has granite counters and stainless steel appliances. The dining room has a beautiful farm table that seats ten. We have discussed not cleaning if we are not feeling well ourselves, proper use of PPE, proper use of all chemicals, and disposing of all trash, cleaning supplies and biohazards appropriately. brbrCleaning is defined by the CDC as “the removal of germs, dirt, and impurities from surfaces. It does not kill germs, but by removing them, it lowers their numbers and the risk of spreading infection.” Disinfection is defined by the CDC as “a process that eliminates many or all pathogenic microorganisms.” Sterilization is defined by the CDC as “a process that destroys or eliminates all forms of microbial life” - so this would be appropriate in health care facilities, not in homes. brbrWe have changed our cleaning products to use products listed on the EPA’s list that are effective to this COVID virus. We are using these chemicals to clean and disinfect as per the directions on the individual chemicals. brbrWe are paying close attention to high touch surfaces including door knobs, light switches, stair railings, remote controls, arms of chairs, appliance handles, toilets, and faucets. These surfaces will all be wiped with a disinfection solution. brbrWe are asking our guests to turn on the HVAC air circulation upon leaving our home, and opening the windows when appropriate. Our cleaners will also do this if not done before they arrive. brbrAll bedding will be changed between guests, including the quilt/comforter and mattress pad. They will be laundered at the highest recommended temperature before being returned to the home. brbrVirus particles do not live long on soft surfaces such as upholstery. Viruses in general do not live long on any surfaces that are porous, with holes or microscopic grooves. brbrWe have put away most of our decorative pillows and extra throw blankets for our guest’s safety. It is very private retreat - the deer, songbirds and crashing waves are your closest neighbors. You can walk to the beach. The house has been completely renovated with repurposed wood, expansive views and an open floorpplan. We are less than two miles from the town center of Little Compton and about 1.3 mi. to the Nature Conservancy's glorious Goosewing Beach. We are walking distance to two fantastic farm stands: Wishingstone Farm and Sweet and Salty Farms .br Enter through the blue barn doors into the downstairs living room with a stone fireplace,chairs and a fold out full futon, This room also has a huge closet behind a sliding barn door filled with extra towels and blankets. This main floor has 3 bedrooms and two full baths. ( one bath has a 6 ft. antique claw foot tub and heated floors) Washer and dryer are on this floor along with a second refrigerator . The closet in the laundry room holds cleaning supplies and first aid needs.brClimb the stairs to the second floor. You may notice that all of the building material is reclaimed locally. (We attempted to add patina to new constructionbut are certified free of lead paint) The tall ceilings are covered in reclaimed barn wood. The beams and upper floor stone fire place mantel and all the trim were salvaged from a historic Fall River textile mill. The woodburning fireplace works well and we supply wood for you first nights fire. On this floor is the kitchen, dining area, second living room and master queen suite with attached full bathroom. The large dining room table can accommodate all guests. This large second floor room boasts a broad expanse of sunny south east facing windows which capture the sunrises and hold midday heat even in the coolest of months. The house is an upside down house with the kitchen and main living room on this second floor to capture the view of the meadows. The left hand side of the library shelf offers many books to peruse... The master suite has a queen bed and full bath with heated floor. A loft ladder behind the fireplace takes you to the upper loft which has two twin beds, a television, a telescope and distant views of the ocean. brOr come outside to indulge in the peaceful rhythm of the south shore....brOn the second floor we have a large outdoor porch where there is an expandable cedar dining table that can accommodate everyone along with a gas grill and more seating. An outdoor sectional sofa is the perfect place to sip coffee and watch the sunrise to the east or to enjoy an evening beverage while watching the sunset to the west all the while listening to the waves....brLife outside can also be enjoyed walking the trails cut through our 6 acres of meadow. We have a circular stone campfire area with outdoor seating off of the south east corner of the house. After a long day outside one can also wash off in the large outdoor shower . (In the late afternoon if the sun is just right it heats up the shampoo and shower gel on the shelf) Then hang your towel on the outside line to dry and relax in the hammock! Little Compton is a beautiful rural town -it has a few stores/restaurants, farm stands/markets & 3 churches, but no gas station. Although LC is country living modern amenities are only 30-45 minutes away(Fall River, Providence, or Bristol)brbrThe house is new construction -1 story open floor plan. The house is private-approximately 800ft off the main road-built on a beautiful wooded lot approximately 1.5 miles from the ocean. br brThe house is approximately 1500sqft- It has 3 bedrooms, a large open kitchen, dining & living rooms. Separate back hallway entrance with laundry room, closet & coat rack.brThe main bedroom has Antique Queen bed, a sitting area, a large walk-in closet and a private full bathroom with large shower. The remaining 2 bedrooms have a queen bed and full size-both with large closets & bureaus. Full bathroom next to open living area and additional bedrooms. The Livingroom has a large sectional, side lounge chairs, and television. Kitchen is fully equipped with a large peninsula counter with stools. The dining room seats 6 people comfortably. There is a dishwasher, washer, dryer, oven/stove & microwave. Front and back decks with outside seating(Adirondacks chairs and wood bench-chair set) The house is equipped with high speed internet-central air-an outside shower-a grill-outside fire pit.
