We have our own family history here as well. This is where webrlearned to sail, swim and experience all the greatness of this area. Our Dad, Joseph did thebrsame as a boy who then became a sailing Captain of the sea. Years ago he recognized thebr“perfect place to live” from his boat. He rowed to the ramp, walked up the street and thenbrdiscovered a corner home with a little garage in the back. Dad always loved things thatbr“needed a little work” so 122 Sauga became his new home ashore. The garage has alwaysbrbeen referred to as “Snorks Place”. Named so by the painted words over the door of thebrsoon-to-be workshop that always needed work of its own. Dad rebuilt the house and afterbrthat, replaced the work shack with a top floor apartment. The apartment is still named SnorksbrPlace or just Snorks as our family and friends refer to it.brDad built Snorks as a cozy and bright get away nest with the feel of a ships cabin with woodbrfloors and galley kitchenette. A Murphy Bed allows for the enlargement of floor space whenbrneeded as well as the Head (small bathroom). and lots of windows for great natural light. manybrof these features always remind us of the boats we grew up sailing.brOur Pop loved to share the amazing experiences of land and sea to all those who adventuredbras well as educating and guiding those who would become Adventurers.brDad would say “Welcome aboard”!
