If you are ambitious, we also were excited to report that if you are sufficiently motivated, you can actually walk through the forest to the SW Canyon beach access (just north on Coast Ave). It took our family an hour and a half to do a loop through the forest, along the beach, and back up (with a six year old and a two year old in back pack).
