If needed, there are also extra sleeping accommodations on the lower level, which include a full size futon (in one of the Queen bedrooms), two inflatable mattresses (queen and full size), a sleeper sofa, and a mini-crib. brSCREENED PORCH: As stated previously, the main floor features a spacious fully screened porch that spans the whole width of the home. The porch has a vaulted knotty pine ceiling with three ceiling fans, and stainless cable rails overlooking the boathouse and lake. There is plenty of seating, including an area for eating. The fully screened in porch allows access to the outdoors, but keeps the pesky insects away! There are stairs that lead to the lower patio level and lake access.brLOWER PATIO: The patio, which is located off the walk-out basement, is a covered entertainment area with three ceiling fans and plenty of seating for large groups. There is also a gas grill/smoker located on the patio, along with a portable kitchen cart for food prep (located in kitchenette area). The patio area leads to the back yard and lake access. On the side of the home, there is an outdoor shower for cooling off after a fun day in the sun!brBACK YARD: The back yard has several mature trees which are perfect for relaxing in the hammocks (which are located in the boathouse) while looking at the picturesque lake views. Everyone will enjoy making s’mores and lounging around the fire pit area in the evenings. There are also plenty of yard games located in the deck box under off the patio, which include corn hole, dominoes, ladder ball, bocce ball, frisbees, football, water guns, bubble maker, and other outdoor activities.brBOATHOUSE AND DOCK: There is a four point tie off area for renters that bring their own boat to the lake. There is also plenty of area on the dock for sunbathing and spending time with your friends and family. If you would like some shade, there is an umbrella you can open on the dock. Water depth is about 6 feet right off the dock and more than 10 feet deep just a few feet further out. The water depth is great for swimming and for fishing. On the side of the home, you will find 4 kayaks for your enjoyment. There is also a pedal boat located on the patio. Several life jackets of various sizes are located in the boathouse. There is also a sea wall with beach access for launching the kayaks. The boathouse has a small refrigerator, fishing equipment (for children & adults), floaties, lounge chairs, and other water toys. There are several marinas located on the lake, such as Eaton Ferry Marina, Holly Grove Marina, and Southpointe Marina. There is also a free public boat ramp a few miles from the house. There are smoke detectors located throughout the home along with a fire extinguisher and fire blanket on each floor. Located on the front and back of the home are motion activated flood lights for nighttime hours. There are also several flashlights located in the pantry. On the outside of the home are two security cameras. One is located on the front porch with coverage of the porch and parking area. The other camera is on the lakeside of the home with coverage from the base of the stairs into backyard. The main level has a large wrap-around deck with two patio dining tables, wrap around sofa & ottoman, two swivel rocking chairs, and gas grill. Upper level has loft area w/sleeper chair, master bedroom with king size bed & youth bed, and full bath with shower. The lower level has a large game room with professional pool table, custom granite bar, sectional sofa, flat screen TV, full size refrigerator, two bedrooms w/queen beds and full bath w/tub. All bedrooms have televisions with Spectrum TV. The basement level has slate floors throughout. The walk-out basement has a patio ample seating, a swinging rope chair and rope hammock. The kitchen is equipped with many amenities including a microwave, blender and an air fryer and is fully stocked with pots and pans. There are two newly decorated bedrooms. One has a queen size bed and the other has twin beds. In the family room there is a queen sofa bed. A full size washer and dryer are available if you need to wash during your stay. PLEASE NOTE: During the peak season (June, July, and August), we only rent for full weeks, from Saturday to Saturday. brbrThe name of our house is Dream Come True, and it has truly been a dream come true. Our home can make your dreams come true, too! Bring your family and friends for a relaxing vacation on Lake Gaston. Our house is located in the popular Pea Hill Creek area. We have all the comforts of home and a wonderful lake in the backyard. The gently sloping yard takes you to the water's edge and our boathouse. There is a vacant slip in the boathouse to tie up your boat. The boat lift in the boat slip is raised to the ceiling, allowing you to get your boat into the boat slip. We will rent the boat lift ($150) if you want to use it. We also have a small floating ramp that is a safe place to dock your jet skis. When it is not used for jet skis, turtles and ducks sun themselves on it, and watching them is fun. The water is about eight feet deep at the end of our dock, and it gently slopes back to a few inches of water at the shoreline. Additionally, there is a boat ramp/launch at the end of our road for the neighborhood (you and your guests) to use. brbrThe house measures 2,500 square feet and features five bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and two kitchens equipped with full-size appliances. Additionally, high-speed wireless internet is available throughout the house for those who may need to work remotely.brbrMAIN LEVELbr • Three bedrooms - Bedroom 1 is the Master Bedroom (king-size bed), Bedroom 2 has a full-size bed and a twin-size bed, and Bedroom 3 has a queen-size bed. br • Two full bathrooms - The Master Bathroom (Bathroom 1) has a walk-in shower and a separate garden-size tub. The electronics include a 50' LED HDTV TV with Roku TV service and a DVD player.br • The Laundry Area is in a closet with a full-size Washer and DryerbrbrDECK/PATIObr • The deck on the main level has a large gas grill, a Blackstone griddle, a table, and 6 chairs with an umbrella for shade, as well as 6 chairs for lounging or reading and a few side tables. br • The patio on the lower level has an area with 5 large rocking chairs and side tables, a small bar with 7 bar stools, a porch swing, a hammock, and a storage cabinet with yard games and swimming noodles. brbrBACK YARD – LAKESIDEbr • The grassy yard gently slopes to the natural area and the lake.br • The 2 kayaks and paddles are located near the shore on a rack between two trees.br • In the natural area close to the lake shore, we have built an area of stone pavers with 6 Adirondack chairs and a fire pit. brbrFRONT YARD – ROADSIDEbr • The 200-ft gravel driveway takes you to two parking areas (2 cars in front of the garage and 3 cars in the gravel parking area.br • Trailers can be parked on the left side of the driveway (as you are looking at the house).br • No parking is allowed on the grassy area on the right side of the driveway (septic field) or on the white stone area that covers drainage pipes.brbrNEIGHBORHOODbr • Bridgewater Cove is a small neighborhood with paved roads and a small common area where you can launch your boat.br • The neighborhood is very close to Washburn's Marina, which has gas for boats and cars as well as a great selection of refreshments and groceries in their convenience store. In addition, Washburn's serves a great breakfast and lunch at their grill with outdoor seating.br • Further down the road is a shopping area with a variety of stores, including a Food Lion grocery store and an Ace Hardware store.br • There are several restaurants in the area, and some have waterfront dining. brbrWe have been here since 2000 and love spending time at our home on Lake Gaston all year long. The beds are extremely comfortable and we get great water pressure making for amazing showers! brbrWe are on a very private, peaceful lot on a point right on the main lake with panoramic views of the water. The outdoor area has a large shaded patio off the main living area with beautiful pottery barn furniture with lots of comfortable seating along with a picnic table for outdoor dining. Off the patio is a firepit area with 6 composite Adirondack chairs, a firepit, gas grill, Blackstone flat top grill. Off the downstairs level, under the main deck is a large swinging day bed perfect for afternoon naps along with other comfortable seating and an outdoor shower for rinsing off after those long days on the lake. brbrIncluded in your rental is the use of 1 huge lily pad floating mat, kayak and 2 stand up paddle boards along with paddles and life vests. We are right on the main lake with deep water (10 feet plus) off the end of our dock. Perfect for jumping in on those hot days! We are located less than 3 miles from a public boat launch. In the fall of 2024 a large brand new boat dock with cool decking was built and is available for docking your boat or sitting by the water and is also a great fishing spot.brbrAll linens are provided including sheets, comforters, duvet covers, extra pillows in the closets and throw blankets throughout the house. We provide 1 bath towel and 1 washcloth per guest along with 1 hand towel per bathroom. We will have laundry detergent, bleach and dryer balls available for your use if you wish to wash your towels throughout the week. We also provide a few beach towels for your use so please do not take the white bath towels outside. We will start you off with a small amount of toilet paper, paper towels, dishwashing pods, dish soap, garbage bags and other household necessities. We do not provide toiletries but we do have black microfiber facial clothes in the bathrooms for removing makeup to help keep our white towels sparkling clean :) The kitchen is very well stocked with plenty of dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, cups, wine glasses, serving platters, mixing bowls, cookie sheets, a crock pot, pots & pans and much more. Lake Gaston has 350miles of shoreline, 34miles long and 1.3 miles across at its widest point.brbrWe are specifically located on Pea Hill Creek. A quiet cove with direct access to the water from our private boathouse. Centrally located and close to grocery stores, restaurants and a boat launch. There is a miniature golf course just 1 mile down the road. We are also about 20 minutes from a local winery! Swimming, kayaking and floating is allowed off the dock being a no wake zone! The boat house has a slip available to park your boat when not in use. There are 5 kayaks and a stand-up paddle board to help get you out on the water having fun! Life preservers are available for safety.brbrThe house itself has a beautiful lake view porch to drink your morning coffee and wake up slow. There are 5 comfortable bedrooms. Linens and bath towels are included (please bring your own beach towels) There are also 3 full bathrooms. Please note all bathrooms are on the first floor.brbrStocked with all the comforts of home. A large dining table seats 8 and with a full kitchen, you can make meals for the whole family. The living room features a sectional sofa and extra chairs for time winding down. There is a 55' screen flat tv with sound bar and several entertainment options including Netflix, ESPN, Hulu, Disney+ and more. Games, cards, puzzled and a chess board for those who enjoy playing.brbrOutdoors you will find a firepit with some stocked wood nearby. A grill with the large outdoor eating area with umbrella to shade you after being on the lake. Cornhole, darts, foosball and ping pong are available in the sports shed! brbrWe are in nature being outdoors near a lake, so be aware there may be wildlife on the property. We ask that you respect the wildlife and take care not to harm anything that may be living here. brbrWhile our home does not allow pets, it is not a pet free home. If anyone in your group is highly allergic to dogs, our home may not be a good fit for you. The home also has two bedrooms with a queen bed each, one of which also has a twin bed and lake view. The fourth room has 3 beds, which includes 2 twins and a full bed. The fifth room has a queen and two sets of bunk beds. The kitchen is fully furnished with everything you need to prepare meals for your group, including a breakfast bar and gas-range stove. All utensils, cups, plates, pots, pans, coffee mugs, and containers are available for guest use. We also have a drip coffee maker, crockpot, dishwasher, washer, and dryer available. There are a total of 3 large refrigerators with freezers for guest use. We also have a large ice machine so that all you have to do is pack your coolers! ☕ brbrbrbrWhen you're not at the dock, you can still enjoy the view of the lake from two large decks or from the all seasons room. The all seasons room is the perfect spot to have meals with the family, especially at dawn and dusk when you get to see spectacular sun rises and sun sets.
