This is lake living at its finest (and now with AC). The Cabin on Candlelight perfectly combines upscale cabin interior, beautiful lake views, large outdoor patios, and lakefront complete with a private dock to make your summer vacation complete. Candlelight is located on the northwest shore of Canyon Ferry Lake. This is the high-rent district on Canyon Ferry as it offers a true mountain/lake experience. There just are not other vacation properties available in this highly coveted area. At only 15 miles from Helena and 95 miles from Bozeman, it is an easy (perfect ) weekend getaway. brbrThe interior for the ‘cabin’ was remodeled a few years ago. The kitchen has brand new appliances and the wood burning stove ensures that you have the full cabin experience. We have recently grey-washed the walls and painted the windows white to give it a more modern lake feel. Three distinct living areas allow for groups to easily co-exist. The main unit is comprised of 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. The 550 square feet ‘anchor’ has a fantastic view of the lakefront inlet but bear in mind that it does not have a bathroom. The bunkhouse (900 square feet) above the garage also does not have a bath. One shower you ask Remember, this is lake living. brbrYes, the interior is beautiful, but where are you going to spend all of your time Outside. This is where the property exceeds all expectations. The deck off the main unit is 600 square feet of perfection. It is a huge gathering place with tremendous views of the private inlet and the greater Canyon Ferry Lake. Just for kicks, there is a second stone patio along the side of the main unit which includes a fire pit, barbeque, and much more room to congregate. brWhat more could you want brbrA few things to keep in mind:br- There are multiple spaces in driveway for toys such as boats/campersbr- The stairs to the dock are steep/old and include multiple landings. They are not handicap accessible. There will be multiple warnings heeded to anyone who chooses to rent this property; you are assuming the risk of utilizing the stairs to reach the waterfront. You will be required to sign an agreement that includes this understanding. br- Furnishings may be slightly updated from picturesbr- As mentioned, all bathrooms are located in the main unitbr- Keep in mind this is real lakefront, not a few minutes away as other listings on Canyon Ferry showbr- 10% discounts on stays of a week (20% on monthly stays)br- This place is really awesome.br

My house is full of beautiful art, mostly created by my artistic children! (They have all moved onward!) I have a beautiful Tuscany kitchen that is fully stocked with everything you might need! My living room and dining area are cozy spots for you to sit and relax. br You will definitely need to check out my music room, where I have a plethora of musical instruments and sheet music. brThere are three bedrooms on the second floor, plus a bathroom with a tub/shower. My bedroom (the fourth bedroom is on the first floor.) brThe Montana Room, is rustic, with antique furniture and mountain-themed artwork. This is the largest of the three rooms. It has a queen sized bed, and a desk area for those needing to work. brThe Costa Rica bedroom is lovely and the bed itself is soooo comfortable! (a queen size bed.) My friend and I traveled to Costa Rica a few years ago and so I filled this room with the many things I bought from that trip. I have a small refrigerator in this bedroom for guests to use. br The Bumblebee Room has a full-sized bed. There is a chalkboard painted wall, and so you can spend time drawing your own masterpiece!) This yellow, white and black room is so cheerful and there is a nice desk for those needing a work space. br The fourth bedroom is on the first floor and has a full-sized bed. This room has lovely Tuscany finished walls, braided rug, and crocheted bedspreadbr I have a Keuric coffee and tea maker (one cup coffee maker), and I generally leave out something quick to eat, like banana bread and/or granola and yogurt. I often have fresh fruit out as well. br My backyard is lovely. I have put much time and energy into landscaping this small, quiet spot. And please check out my Art Garage. I teach classes throughout the year, (currently teaching 2 after-school classes per week - during the school year and facilitate an art camp for a few weeks each summer.

Spread out in the spacious kitchen or chill outside around the firepit with the smell of the Trager smoker grill going in the background.brbrIf you need to pop into town, you can be in the center of Helen within 10 minutes. brbrPrickly Pear hiking trail system within walking distance from the house. Mountain biking trails just a short ride away. Public land within minutes for great hiking, camping, hunting and fishing.brbrIn the summer, its about 5-10 degrees cooler than the sweltering valley and has plenty of shade. In the winter, the forests and mountains are frosted with snow - but the roads are plowed regularly. brbrThe house sleeps 9 in beds, 1 on downstairs sofa. The sofa is not a sofa bed. One of the beds is a twin trundle bed that is not made up in advance because it will not fit under the bed when made up. brbrIndoor dining space for up to 8 at the dining table and 2 at the kitchen counter. Outdoor dining space for up to 8 at a time June through October.brbrThere is room on the driveway for 3 compact cars parked front-to-back on the far right side of the driveway only. Please do not park in front of the detached garage. The driveway in front of the detached garage is reserved for full-time residents of the detached guest house above the garage.brbrYour stay will include exclusive access to the whole house, patio and hot tub. Yard is a shared space. Hot tub is available April through October.brbrNote that the neighboring detached garage and guesthouse are rented by long-term tenants. Other than parking on the driveway on the side nearest the house, please keep your distance from the garage/guesthouse out of respect for their peace and quiet. It is a smaller cabin on the property next to the outdoor dining area and propane fire pit. The cabin is beautiful, historic, and cozy, but you will need to walk about 15 feet outside to get into the main house. - The basement bedroom is only accessible by entering through another bedroom, which is the charm of an older home. - We have two private parking spaces on our main driveway (two cars can fit if parked tightly). There is more public street parking right across the street. - We have an upstairs bedroom and living room, which are only accessible by using fairly steep stairs. The stairs are pretty easy to get up and down with the handrail, but might be slightly difficult for older folks. Again, an old house thing!
