Our 3 bedroom + house are a great family vacation spot! We can sleep up to 10 (1 Queen, 2 bunk bed sets, 2 twins, and a trundle bed with 2 twins) on the inside and there is room on the 2 decks for those that would like to sleep under the stars! The living room has windows looking out toward the water. The dining room table seats 6 and the kitchen bar can sit up to 4 more. The kitchen comes with an electric stove, refrigerator, portable dishwasher, microwave and cabinets full of dishes, pots and pans, glasses, silverware, and serving utensils. The trundle bedroom doubles as a sitting room for reading a good book or taking an afternoon nap. A large closet off the trundle bedroom has lots of games for all ages and a collection of gently worn books to read while you vacation with us. This 4 bedroom house is tucked away on a quiet dead end street. The additional lot next door is great for kids to play in or pets to roam on. The inside of the house was recently repainted and several updates were made. The main level has 2 large bedrooms both of which have their own bathrooms. The bedrooms each have a queens size bed and dresser with a large closet. The large living room has a brand new 55'' flat screen tv situated just above the gas log fireplace. The new sectional couch is large enough to accommodate 6-8 people comfortably. Also in the living room is a patio door leading onto the back deck. Half of the back deck is covered for those occasional rainy days. In the kitchen is a full sized refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, a full size electric stove, and lots of cabinet space. The cabinets are furnished with the basics you will need for cooking. If you have a specific pan you will need for your cooking project I do recommend you bring one with you as we can not anticipate what everyone might be cooking. Hard plates, utensils, glassware, and paper towels are provided. You will need to bring your own paper plates and food storage containers. The kitchen table will is built to seat 6 with additional chairs stored in the garage for a larger group. Fold out tables are available by request. brbrLocated on the lower lever is a huge carpeted area perfect for playing games. There is also a huge couch with a large big screen tv. The 2 downstairs bedrooms are furnished with brand new queen sized mattresses and both have large closets. The half bath is located downstairs also. Please pick up after your pet. DO NOT ALLOW male dogs to hike their leg on ANY landscaping/bushes/shrubs in the neighborhood. Dog urine will cause the plant to turn brown and die. This rule goes for the entire neighborhood. If this accidentally happens please pour water on the area immediately. The breathtaking view starts when you pull into the driveway! With this house its all about the view. Each and every room has a spectacular view of the lake. As you enter the main level you will find the view equally amazing from the kitchen to the living room and from the couch to the kitchen table. Once you are upstairs in the master suite you see the view is just as spectacular from the balcony as it is from the bed. Even the two downstairs bedrooms have a pristine view of the water. If sitting outside on the deck is your thing then this is the place for you! There are decks on every level for your enjoyment. The deck even leads all the way down to the shoreline. This property is located on the main channel of the Cumberland River and not allowed a dock permit. This house has a long history in my family, my grandparents purchased it nearly 40 years ago and raised 5 children here. After my grandfather passed I was blessed with the opportunity to purchase it. I spent 6 years living and remolding this house before moving to the end of the street into another fix-er up-er. brbrAs you can see in the pictures the entire upstairs has custom hardwood flooring. Each room has a different species of flooring along with a different hardwood trim. Over half of the furniture in the house was been hand made by myself or friends of the family. brbrThe kitchen is fully furnished with all the basic cooking utensils you will need. All of the appliances are full size. The kitchen table is set for 4 but we have had as many as 8 people gather around it for family dinner. brbrThe living room is fitted with a huge leather couch, 1 recliner, and one hand made rocking chair. There are gas logs for your enjoyment in the winter time. Atop the walnut mantel is a 50''Samsung LED tv with a Roku streaming device. Please note the tv is only set up for streaming. brbrThere are 3 Bedrooms upstairs, all of them are full of unique western style furnishings. The master bedroom has a half bath attached to it. As you walk down the hall you will pass the main bathroom with a shower and bathtub. brbrThere is another full size bedroom and bathroom in the basement. The laundry room is just around the corner. brbrThe game room is also located in the basement and has a pool table, vintage arcade, dart board, and a 50'' smart tv for your enjoyment.brbrThis home was built in the 70s and updated in 2018. brbrOutside you will see that the lake is only about 50 steps away. There are concrete steps all the way into the water. The shoreline is perfect for swimming or just hanging out. The lake bottom is a rock/mud combination. The boat traffic is a safe distance away leaving you several hundred yards of calm area to swim in. There will be plenty of room for a fire on the shoreline as long as the water level isn't higher than normal. With being on the lake there is always a chance of bugs, please understand we do everything we can to keep the outside of the house clean but sometimes it just is not possible. June, July, and August have what is called a Mayfly hatch occasionally, they do not bite and are good for fishing. brbrWe are located on the main channel and not allowed a dock permit. I live at the end of the street and have 3 docks docks on the bay-side that you are welcome to use. My covered dock is about 500' away, you can walk or drive down and park in my driveway. All 3 docks on the bayside are available for your use. They will easily hold 30'-40' boats. You can use the dock overnight. There is no power on the docks. brbrFAQS:brbrNo more than 2 pets are allowed. There is a $100 fee for each pet. NO MORE THAN 25LBS EACH.brbr There is room for 2-3 cars in the driveway. There is plenty of room for over flow parking, just let me know and I’ll show you where it is.brbrbr Free wifi is providedbrbrThe house is best suited for 8 guests with 10 guests being our maximum. Everyone in the group is considered and counted as a guest. brbr ALL your linens are provided. I always recommend bringing your pillow for your comfort.brbr The kitchen has basic pots and pans and utensils for your general cooking needs. Please keep in mind this is a vacation home so if you plan to cook a huge meal you should bring extra supplies with you. The basics are supplied and serve the majority of our guests completely.brbr There is a full size fridge and freezer in the kitchen.brbr The neighborhood is located on a dead end street and is usually very quiet.brbr Our neighbors’ kids play in the street so please drive with caution.brbr The grill is propane and the propane is provided. Bring a lighter as ours tend to walk off.brbr The outdoor grill is not cleaned by the cleaning staff, please clean up after yourself. They are shared between all of our rental houses and I do recommend you reserve in advance, the boat rental site is enjoylakebarkley.com (Click on boats). The site will ask for you to leave a card on file to hold the reservation and I ask that you pay for the boats in cash once you arrive. The boats are ALWAYS docked at our covered dock on the street. NO night use. If you are out after dark I will assume you are missing and emergence personnel will be notified. An additional $300 deposit will be held for the boat.
