Bedroom 1 is updated with king bed, bedroom 2 has 2 twins and bedroom 3 has a queen bed. We use mainly cotton sheets and lightweight quilts so they can be washed and dried easily between guests. We strive for low scent use with non scented detergent and low/unscented cleaners whenever we can. We do use lemon eucalyptus essential oil regularly, so let us know if this is an issue for you so we won’t use it during the clean prior to your stay. There’s a pellet stove for cold days. Mini split a/c + heat in main area, window units in each bedroom and space heaters are supplied for extra comfort as desired.brAt this farm stay you can visit the goats, horses, chickens, and bunny and maybe give them a provided treat. brbrLocated about 800 feet from Mammoth Cave's Lincoln Trailhead, you're able to bring your own horses to keep at our barn.brDespite thorough cleanings, there is a possibility for bugs, because we currently use natural pest solutions in order for our farm to support pollinators. Lots of hiking in park as close as 800 feet from the campground. Horses are welcome at our campground, we provide stalls and the MCNP trail across the road is horse friendly. There are several tours to choose from if you’re, you may want to choose a couple. We recommend getting tickets in advance as they do sell out. (Visitor center 20-25 minutes via Green River Ferry route, 40 minutes without ferry, check mcnp website for ferry availability)brbrTrail rides are provided at Double J Stables. (5 minutes) Advance reservation recommended. brbrNearby there is Anna’s Kitchen, it’s Amish run, so homecooking, and only couple minutes away. Web Mart makes bbq and other specials to go. Open for the season April -November, The Blue Holler Restaurant serves up German and American fare. Bee spring has KY Rock grill. Bouys at the lodge in Wax Marina is a fun lake view experience (15min). brbrThe Feedmill in Leitchfield (35 min) has good breakfast & lunch & there’s a Mexican restaurant, mi Camino Real, that’s good in that area too. There’s also a Peddler’s Mall in Leitchfield if that interests you. brbrIn Bowling Green (50-55 min) there’s the corvette museum & lost river cave tour if you’re looking for more to do. brbrCave city (across the ferry 25 min) has tourist friendly activities including various caves that have been open since the early 1900s. Kayaking tours available down Green River. There are attractions such as Dinosaur World, Kentucky Down Under, & Mammoth Cave Adventure. A favorite stop for me is Leo’s woodworking as you exit the park toward cave city.brbrI recently went to a cave tour in Horse Cave called hidden river cave (40 min) which was kinda neat. They have antique shops nearby in the little downtown.brbr10-15 minutes away is an Amish town called Cub Run. They have a couple shops, the Variety Shoppe & Detweilers, which has a small bakery and deli and everything from gardening to furniture. There is a separate hunting & fishing store.

Lake access is best during the summer as the Corps lowers the lake (25 to 30 feet) starting late October. Due to flood control aspects of the lake, the walk up and down to the water is steep, and some guests might find it difficult. Winter pool is 25-30 feet below summer pool. Which makes the lake inaccessible during winter months. During rainy seasons the lake has been known to go 25 ft above summer pool. Also making the lake hard to access. We try very hard to keep the access to the lake available but sometimes the levels change drastically and are hard to keep up. We do the best we can. The water levels can be checked at the Nolin River website. brbrOwners reside across the street and the property has exterior security cameras. brbrTwo dogs (under 50 pounds each) are allowed for a pet fee of $75/trip. A queen foam mattress with cotton sheets, mini fridge, coffee, and microwave, small charcoal grill, & dishes, hammock and fire ring, outdoor seating are included. Campground bathrooms are about 60 yards away with hot showers, parking a little further on. Sun shade & AC help with heat, but still may be warm during hot days. Night may be cool even with use of space heater especially when less than 20 degrees.brbrThe obvious thing to do is visit Mammoth Cave National Park! Lots of hiking in park as close as 800 feet from the campground. Horses are welcome at our campground, we provide stalls and the Lincoln trailhead hiker and horse friendly. There are several cave tours to choose & you may want to choose a couple. We recommend getting tickets in advance as they do sell out. (Visitor center 20-25 minutes via Green River Ferry route call to check schedule, 40 minutes without)brbrTrail rides are provided at Double J Stables. (5 minutes) Advance reservation recommended. brbrOpening for the season April -November, The Blue Holler Restaurant serves up German and American fare. Bee spring PJs roadhouse. Bouys at Wax Marina is a fun lake view restaurant experience. Nearby Webb Mart and Forks of Mammoth Cave serve tasty fare in a country store setting.brbrThe Feedmill in Leitchfield (35 min) has good breakfast & lunch & there’s a Mexican restaurant, mi Camino Real, that’s good in that area too. There’s also a Peddler’s Mall in Leitchfield if that interests you. brbrIn Bowling Green (50-55 min) there’s the corvette museum & lost river cave tour if you’re looking for more to do. brbrCave city (across the ferry 25 min) has tourist friendly activities including various caves that have been open since the early 1900s. Kayaking tours available down Green River. There are attractions such as Dinosaur World, Kentucky Down Under, & Mammoth Cave Adventure. A favorite stop for me is Leo’s woodworking as you exit the park toward cave city.brbrI recently went to a cave tour in Horse Cave called hidden river cave (40 min) which was kinda neat. They have antique shops nearby in the little downtown.brbr10-15 minutes away is an Amish town called Cub Run. They have a couple shops, the Variety Shoppe (equine& homegoods) & Detweilers, which has a small bakery and deli and everything from gardening to furniture. There is a separate hunting & fishing store, Crazy bears, next to detweilers.

Beautiful Lakefront Home with lake access!brbrBeautiful house located on Nolin River Lake. Sleeps 8-10 with plenty of parking. The house features two large decks one with a deck level hot tub and the other is a covered outdoor kitchen with running water during warm months. There is a washer and dryer available. Mammoth Cave is approximately 20 minute drive. Moutardier Marina has pontoon and jet ski rentals. The closest boat ramp is in the neighborhood within a five minute drive. Blue Holler Off-road Park is 10 minute drive. Shady Hollow Golf course 8 miles away! Come and enjoy life at the lake!brbrPlease be advised! Nolin Lake is owned by the US Army Corps of Engineers. It is used for flood control. The best access for the lake is during the summer months. the Corps raises the lake for the summer starting in April and typically stays at “summer pool” until early October. Winter pool is 25-30 feet below summer pool. Which makes the lake inaccessible during winter months. During rainy seasons the lake has been known to go 25 ft above summer pool. Also making the lake hard to access. We try very hard to keep the access to the lake available but sometimes the levels change drastically and are hard to keep up. We do the best we can.
