The house overlooks a quiet cove on Lake Barkley and is less than 10 minutes away from Eddy Creek Marina Resort.brbrThe large central room has an open kitchen and dining area, and a comfortable living room and cozy sunroom extend off each side, providing multiple places to gather with family and friends. But you’ll want to spend most of your time on the large deck that overlooks the water and is shaded by gorgeous trees. Or, you can unwind in the screened-in lower porch, relax on a glider swing on a lower level of the deck, or gather around the fire pit on the stone patio – so many levels where you can enjoy the lake view! In cooler weather you’ll love the gas fireplaces with antique mantels on each level.brbrThe main floor and lower floor have private bedrooms that sleep 2 each; the bunkbed/trundle room on the lower level sleeps 3; and a twin and double bed in the loft sleeps 3 more for a total of 10 guests. If you bring your own boat, you can put in at the marina and it's a short ride to the house. The boat slip may be occupied but you can tie up to the outside of the dock. Being on the cove is nice because you can float or paddle around without worrying about the current in the main part of the lake. Four paddleboards are usually available to use (ask us, there are 2 weekends they are not available). There are several seasonal restaurants nearby.brbrPlease be aware of a few things before booking this home. Getting to the loft requires climbing a narrow ladder and is not suitable for older folks or small children. There are many steps that lead down to the water. The driveway to the house is very steep, although you may use the adjoining neighbor’s driveway. There are spots to park 2-3 vehicles but no room for trailers (boat trailers can be left at the marina). The area is very hilly and steep so use caution on the neighborhood roads. This skoolie is situated on our 18 acre homestead with a view of the pond that is home to our 5 friendly ducks. Inside, you will find dining space for 6 and a kitchenette with full sink, toaster oven, microwave, mini-fridge and much more. In the bathroom you will find a shower stall and toilet along with some basic amenities. There are two sets of bunk beds along with a queen bed, comfortably sleeping six. During your stay, you can enjoy The Land Between the Lake National Park or rent a pontoon boat on beautiful Lake Barkley. We have ample space for parking trailers and multiple cars. Smoking and or vaping is not allowed in the unit, however you can smoke outside. This Skoolie is stationary and will not be able to be driven by the guests. brPlease remember that this is a unique experience, and may not be for everyone. The interior of the bus measures 6' 4 tall at its tallest point in the center, with the ceiling curving down to a measurement of 5' 5 tall. With the shower being on the outside wall of the bus, the tallest wall of the shower is 6' 2 tall and curving down from there. If you are a very tall person, walk in the bus with care, as to not bump your head. This is an RV, there is a limited hot water supply, so plan showers accordingly. There are multiple rental units on our property, some of the outside spaces are shared and you can see other units from this one.brThe tanks will be emptied every 3 days of your stay at 11am. Access to the inside of the unit is not required.
