There is wildlife in the area and it can snow at all times of year. In the winter, 4 wheel drive vehicles are required. A AWD Tesla and similar vehicles are not suitable for the roads in Island Park due to their low clearance and weight, so please consider trucks, suvs and Subaru type vehicles. The only entrance open to wheeled vehicles in the winter is the north entrance.
