Spring, Summer, and Fall 2026 and 2027 reservations are available now but we do fill up fast. We look forward to welcoming your family.

THE SETTING
There are properties near Yellowstone, and then there is Life of Riley Lodge. A rare legacy estate on the exclusive north shoreline of Henry's Lake, one of North America's most celebrated trophy fishing lakes, the views here are genuinely unmatched. From the moment you pass through the towering log entrance gate, the panorama opens: the shimmering lake before you, the Centennial Range rising to the front, the Continental Divide granite ridges behind, and the Yellowstone and Teton ranges visible to the east. Very few properties in the region command all of these simultaneously.
Situated minutes from Yellowstone's western entrance (the park's most popular gate), Life of Riley Lodge places you closer to the heart of the experience than any comparable luxury residence. Big Sky and Jackson Hole, while wonderful destinations, both sit roughly two hours further from the park's main attractions.

THE EXPERIENCE
Booking here begins a curated journey, not simply a reservation. Each guest receives a private one-on-one concierge consultation and a custom trip planning page built specifically for your group. With deep roots in the region, we bring an insider's perspective that elevates a Yellowstone visit well beyond the ordinary.
We will help you find what most visitors never discover: the finest local dining, private guides and boutique outfitters, and extraordinary experiences unavailable to the uninitiated. Private chuck wagon and sleigh rides, authentic dinosaur excavation excursions, helicopter tours with private chef service. The Yellowstone area rewards those who know where to look.

THE LODGE
A 40+ year-old hand-scraped whole-log cabin in the classic Yellowstone tradition, completely renovated and thoughtfully refreshed each year. Slightly over 3,000 square feet across three floors, sleeping 13 guests across 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, on 3 king-size and 7 twin Tempur-Pedic mattresses throughout.
Life of Riley Lodge is among the less than 5% of area rentals with central air conditioning (essential at 7,000 feet elevation where summer temperatures climb considerably), electronic keypad entry, full exterior security cameras, dedicated trash removal service, and no cleaning fees. Many area properties ask guests to manage their own linens, trash runs, and key exchanges. Here, those details are handled, so your vacation begins the moment you arrive.

GREAT ROOM AND CHEF'S KITCHEN
Entering on the second floor, guests are welcomed into a soaring Great Room, nearly 30 feet tall, anchored by a grand wood-burning fireplace. Two custom American-made Bradington and Young distressed leather sofas, a ten-person Restoration Hardware dining set, and a live-edge bar with seating for three ensure every meal becomes a gathering. The views from this room are simply extraordinary.
The chef's kitchen is outfitted with Miele, Kitchen Aid, and other appliances and stocked with everything needed to prepare a proper meal for your entire party. Just off the Great Room, a wraparound deck with Adirondack chairs and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen invites long evenings in the open air.

THE SUITES
Master Suite, Third Floor
Thoughtfully appointed for families and traveling executives alike. A Tempur-Pedic king bed and twin captain's bed in Ralph Lauren bedding, with a discreet partition offering a measure of privacy between sleeping areas. The en suite bath features a multi-head shower. Includes a desk with charging ports, whole-house premium Wi-Fi, dual Churchill tweed recliners, and a 43 OLED television with DirecTV.

The Madison Suite, Second Floor
The lodge's most refined retreat, with views across both the lake and the Continental Divide. A Tempur-Pedic Cloud king bed in Woolrich and Ralph Lauren bedding, walk-in closet, built-in vanity, black velvet lounge chair, New Zealand shearling rug, and a 42 streaming television with DirecTV.

The Lodgepole Suite, Second Floor
The lodge's most authentically Western room, generous in scale and rich in character with mountain views. A hand-hewn king log bed with Tempur-Pedic Cloud mattress, wide shearling rug, Woolrich bedding, walk-in closet with built-in vanity, sitting bench, lounge chair, and a 42 streaming television with DirecTV.

Theater, Gym, and Bunk Room, First Floor
The Theater features a gas fireplace beneath a magnificent 250-year-old timber mantle, new Karastan carpeting, a 75 OLED smart television with Atmos surround sound and DirecTV DVR, and a wireless retro arcade console spanning three decades of beloved games. Adjacent to the theater is a 2nd laundry room, refrigerator, gym, and storage for outdoor adventures.
The Yellowstone Bunk Room sleeps six in custom private bunks, each with a premium mattress, individual reading light, and personal charging port. Pendleton Woolen Mills Yellowstone blankets, vintage park signage, and a Junior Ranger-themed locker room keep the spirit of the park alive indoors. Adjoining rain shower bath, a 43 Amazon Fire TV, PlayStation with extensive game library, and parent-lockable DirecTV. For younger guests: high chair, baby gate, and Pack 'n Play provided.

THE LAKEFRONT PROMENADE
The lodge's most singular feature. Beneath four expansive shade sails, the largest private outdoor space on Henry's Lake unfolds. A sweeping fire pit lounge, boardwalk, and private beach sit directly at the water's edge.
Two fully equipped outdoor kitchens, a Kamado Egg charcoal smoker, dual XL grill stations, stovetop burners, a searing grill, mini refrigerator and full prep facilities. Dual hammocks, twin 150-lb cast iron fire pit pagodas, and Adirondack chairs arranged against 360-degree mountain and lake views. Kayaks, canoes, fishing gear, chopped firewood, and outdoor blankets and towels all provided.

THE GROUNDS
The private fully fenced, professionally landscaped property features perimeter lighting and a long, fully paved driveway to the highway, a genuine rarity in the region. A sports court with new basketball goal completes the outdoor amenities.
Henry's Lake is among the most storied fisheries in the country, holder of two state records for the largest trout ever caught. Ten minutes from the lodge: horseback riding, ATV and UTV touring, rafting, and hiking. This is not simply a place to stay. It is a place to return to.

Thank you for considering our property, we hope to see you soon!

Beautiful cabin and views. Cabin was very clean and the owner was extra informative on things to do in the area and safety for the outdoors. It's a super fun getaway with the lake, canoes, fishing and games. Our family loved it!

Wonderful host, who spent a lot of time trying to ensure a seamless check in/out process and great time while using the house. More expensive than I would expect based on other similar travels, but at our time of booking, other locoregional properties were comparable in price. Overall, wonderful experience.

From the moment we arrived at The Life of Riley Lodge we knew we were on vacation. The house was more than we imagined. The host had left the kids a surprise in the movie room-so special-. House was well stocked, clean, and ready for our adventure. We have stayed at many houses and never had a host you could call with a question and she answered the phone. Before we left she sent ideas about what to do (so helpful) and where to go. I had arranged with Yellowstone Wild for a guide. Laura, she knew where the animals were (one day) and Hot Springs, Bubbling Mud Pots and when the geyser's were ready to blow (another day) with a day to rest in between. I would never go w/o a guide. The house was in a great location for everything. The entertaining space by the lake is perfect to eat, watch the stars, and cook your smores. The kids used the games, canoe, kayaks and fishing gear every day, The house had everything you could want. Don't wait to book this house like I did. We could only get it for 6 nights! Would I go again YES!

Everything was amazing, every detail for a memorable stay was considered and attended to for our family of 6 adults and 4 children ages 2, 5, 7, and 8. The three older children LOVED everything: their room, the candy left for a movie night, the waterfront and kid sized kayaks, the board games in the Gear Room. The 2 yr old made himself at home, going inside and outside to enjoy the home and surroundings. We adults welcomed the opportunity to relax, read as possible, nap on the comfy sofas, enjoy the lake and the deck surrounding the main floor on three sides. The well equipped kitchen and outdoor grill stations encouraged creative meal planning, and the results were delicious. We are so grateful to our attentive, responsive hosts and their excellent housekeeper who had the home in perfect order for our stay. We all give two thumbs way up for Life of Riley. We hope to return!

Wonderful home for 4 generation plus 2 friends to celebrate mom’s 90th Birthday!! Loved having 3 levels to space out, 3 bathrooms, 2 decks, 2 sets of washer/dryer’s! Newly added gym was great, lots of games and everything you could ask for! Loved the vanity for makeup in rooms!! Wonderful host Sarah!! We cooked in for all meals..took sandwiches into park (they have coolers you can use too). Highly recommend this home. I’ve stayed at many VRBO’s and this one tops the list with communication, cleanliness, organization, well stocked spices, appliances (even a crock pot that we used to make chili while we were at the park)! Enjoy!!

The property was gorgeous and well stocked with everything we needed for our family vacation. We had a 4 year old, teenagers all the way up to grandparents and everyone had something to enjoy. We stayed up late playing board games and enjoyed coffee overlooking the lake in the mornings, roasted smores, grilled, fished and canoed on the lake. Everything was super clean and the beds were cozy. Yellowstone was just a few minutes drive but the property itself made the trip extra special. Sarah was quick to respond even when I texted her late at night. We loved every minute and can’t wait to visit again soon!

Life of Riley Lodge was perfection! My family ranged in age from 15 to 81, and we all traveled together from Tennessee. Hands down, Sarah was the best VRBO host I’ve ever worked with. She gave us suggestions for activities based on the age of my parents - all of which were amazing. From the rodeo at Meadow Vue Ranch to the guided tours in the park to the private chef that cooked for us one night, it was the trip of a lifetime. Life of Riley Lodge was the perfect place to come home to each evening. Thank you, Sarah, for helping make this trip so special!!

From start to finish Life of Riley Lodge was a wonderful experience. The property owners gave clear communication and were easily accessible when we had any questions. Every detail about the home was perfect. It was clean, and the kitchen was well stocked with spices, quality cookware, and appliances. The beds & pillows were very comfortable as well. The view was gorgeous, and the property had so many amenities to provide plenty of indoor & outdoor activities to keep our teens occupied. We thoroughly enjoyed this property and hope to be back in the future!

The cabin was just like the pictures and description. Sarah, the host, was awesome. She was there for us the whole-time answering questions and suggesting things to do in the area. We had a great time and felt very comfortable with every amenity possible. Having direct access to the lake from the property was perfect for canoeing, kayaking and fishing.
