Located in a spread out neighborhood with amazing views of the Tetons on clear days. The cabin is about 40 minutes to the West entrance to Yellowstone Park . The neighborhood is near the Island Park Reservoir and about 15 minutes from a gas station and some restaurants
From December to March you can depend on snow in Island Park. The roads are plowed, but its highly recommended to bring a vehicle that works well in the snow. A vehicle with ground clearance and 4WD or AWD is best.
There isn't any public transportation in the area so you'll need to have a car to get around. There 700+ miles of trails that you can ride motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and snowmobiles etc on. We have ATVs, UTVs, and snowmobiles available for rent if you're looking for a different way to explore the area other than in a car.
This is a clean, cozy cabin! It is not large but slept our family of 5 comfortably. We didn't spend much time there but the cabin had what we needed and we all slept great!
We had a great stay at the Bluebird Loft! Great communication from the host, easy access, great price. It was perfect for our family of 5! Definitely recommend to anyone heading to Island Park!
Super compact but cute. Lots of stairs to get to the living space. No dishwasher and they ask that you wash and dry dishes and towels. Lots of neighbors. Again- it’s a nice drop off and sleep location for all day play near lakeside lodge- not really a place to hang out and play ON location because it’s Too small and nothing inside to do nor space to do it.
We visited Yellowstone for the first time and needed a place with close proximity. It worked well for us and with the cool temperatures was a very nice stay.
Nice Cottage These are a few things that need to be improved. Dish washing sponge needed in kitchen. Nonslip strips in bath tub. Very slippery, dangerous. Mice control needed. We found droppings in the kitchen Sink. Bottom step at front door needs to be lighted. Note. Developing area with dirt roads. Very nice cabin, With these minor improvements it could be excellent.
Bluebird Loft was cozy and comfortable in a quiet neighborhood with wildlife near and good access to both state and national parks (Yellowstone and Tetons.). Enjoyed our visit and host answered questions promptly.
Was far enough away that it felt secluded but still close to activity’s and stores good views
The loft location is good. Very clean. Host supplied enough household items, such as Sarah wrap, freezer bag. We enjoyed our stay. However, you need drive on unpaved road to get to the loft. There is no air-conditioning, it was a bit hot in the loft when we stayed there in July.
This is a nice place. It is new, clean, has good beds and provided the necessities most would expect. With a nice TV and good internet to boot! There's not a ton of living space, but you don't travel to this area to spent excessive time indoors! It wouldn't be a issue most of the year, but I will say the space is not designed super great for hot summer living though. Our mid July stay with highs in upper 80s got the place cookin' in the late afternoon early evening time. It is over a high bay garage and air flow thorough the unit is limited with just one window. Thankfully a box fan was provided to help pull in cool late evening, night and morning air. We blasted it as much as possible. We wished the bedroom exterior doors had screens so they could be used (without letting in half the forest worth of bugs) for much more effective cooling.
We really enjoyed our stay. Close to west Yellowstone and very scenic area. We even saw a moose with its baby from the cabin deck.
This cabin was the perfect place for us to stay while we explored Yellowstone. Jake was a great host, quick to answer any questions we had. The cabin was cozy, clean, and comfortable.
