Seasonal Highlights

Spring Awakening (May 15 – June 15):

Yellowstone and Island Park emerge from winter’s rest with roaring waterfalls, lush greenery, and wildlife at their most active. Bison calves, elk, and moose are often spotted, and the rivers come alive with trout fishing. Days are cool and crisp—perfect for hiking uncrowded trails or cozy evenings by the fire after exploring the park.

High Summer (June 15 – Aug 15)

This is peak season at Pelican Point. Long, sunny days invite swimming, tubing, and boating right from your private dock. Evenings stretch late into the night with fiery sunsets and stargazing by the firepit. July 4th is unforgettable here—fireworks sparkle over the water and can be enjoyed from the deck, lawn, or dock. Fishing is excellent, and a drive up Sawtelle Peak reveals breathtaking panoramic views of the entire region.

Golden Serenity (Aug 15 – Sept 15)

As summer crowds fade, Pelican Point transforms into a sanctuary of calm. The lake grows still, making it ideal for kayaking, paddleboarding, and quiet mornings on the dock. School is back in session, so Yellowstone’s trails and boardwalks become peaceful again. The air is crisp, sunsets grow richer, and the first hints of autumn colors begin to spread through the mountains. It’s an especially romantic season for couples seeking tranquility.

Autumn Splendor (Sept 15 – Oct 15)

This is Yellowstone at its most dramatic—elk bugle through the meadows, wildlife prepares for winter, and the mountains ignite with brilliant fall foliage. Crowds have disappeared, making this the perfect time for photographers, nature lovers, and travelers seeking solitude. Crisp days give way to cool evenings, ideal for fireside gatherings and intimate dinners after days spent exploring.

Your Gateway to Adventure:
• Yellowstone National Park: Just a 35-minute scenic drive to the West Entrance
• World-renowned fly fishing: Henry’s Fork, Henry’s Lake, and Box Canyon all minutes away
• Big Springs & Mesa Falls: Iconic Idaho landmarks nearby
• Horseback riding, hiking, and family adventures: All within easy reach

5 Star Reviews:

Stephen`s Experience: This place was everything I hoped it was and more. So many things to do and Bob was always responsive to any questions we had about local places to experience. My two daughters, granddaughter, wife, mom, and son-in-law all stayed here. We hiked in Yellowstone park, rented side-by-sides 4-wheelers in the forest, played countless games of pool and ping pong in the game room, had a nice boat dock so we could bring our boat for surfing, wakeboarding, and beautiful morning boat rides to the restaurant on the other side of the lake. Went fishing at Henry`s lake just up the road. So many memories that we will never forget in a place where I already miss having morning coffee on the patio enjoying the view.

Kendal`s Experience: This property is stunning! The home is decorated in upscale mountain decor. It is spacious, luxurious and equipped with everything you could need.
The outside was absolutely beautiful. A deck, patio, lawn, fire pit, grill private beach and boat dock in a mountainous surrounding. The outside amenities were probably the best part for us. A sunset boat ride and surfing `on glass` with a fiery sunset and full moon rising...amazing! Couldn`t be more beautiful!! This property is all you could want. Don`t miss the experience!

Kaylie`s Experience: This is THE place to stay if you plan on this area. Ideal location, great amenities, and well taken care of home. Love being on the lake, quiet mornings, fire pit in the evening, and beautiful view of the stars at night. Was just what we were looking for on our trip. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Kent`s Experience: This home was everything we expected and more! Spotless, huge open areas, the backyard is to die for, the views, and all the little details. Nothing goes unnoticed, every little detail is in place and accessible. We loved the gathering areas on every floor! The bedrooms and bathrooms are all equivalent, even the laundry room was luxury. Would highly recommend, you won`t be disappointed. Close to yellowstone, would highly recommend High Mountain Adventures right down the street, we drove miles and miles up and down mountains on Side by Sides, whole trip was amazing and this house was our favorite part! Thanks Again!

Wade`s Experience: We had a total blast here. We can`t imagine staying at a better place. The beach was amazing, the house was big and spacious. This was definitely a trip to remember and the whole family loved it.

We had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful lake front property. From the moment we arrived everything exceeded our expectations. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The views of the lake and the sunsets were breathtaking. The private dock was a huge bonus, perfect for swimming, fishing and boating. The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive providing clear instruction and thoughtful touches throughout the house to make it feel like home … we are already planning our next trip.

This was a family stay for us. We were looking for a high end home relatively close to Yellowstone National Park. The house meet our expectations and then some. It is a beautiful house, clean, with an amazing view, and all rooms are nicely decorated. We spent a week there enjoying the outdoors and the area around it. We would love to go back.

This property is amazing. The home was the best stocked VRBO ever. The owner takes pride in this property and it showed with every detail. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The laundry room was great! The bathrooms were well stocked with amenities and beautiful towels. The comfort of the home, the many areas for people to spread out and the views from every room are more than you can imagine until you see it for yourself. If you are interested in a beautiful, peaceful retreat, a great location for visiting Yellowstone or fishing this is a perfect place. You are also close enough to make day trips to Big Sky, Bozeman and Jackson Hole. This home does not disappoint. Our family has an amazing week.

The property was amazing and perfect for our family of 12. It has 5 king suites, each with its own bathroom and walk in closet. In addition there was a mother-in-law apartment with another King suite which was perfect for our son who has a 1 year old. There was a butlers pantry which was perfect for all the snacks that did not fit in one of the two fridges. There was more than enough space for all of our food/snack/drink items. The cabin/home is beautifully landscaped and the grounds were just beautiful. The view of the lake was stunning and we had our own private boat dock. We have already booked our trip for next year and cant say enough great things about this property. The host was also amazing, answering every question within the hour. We cant wait till next year.

Our family had such a wonderful vacation at this home! Close proximity to Yellowstone, and then a relaxing place to retreat. Quiet neighborhood, beautiful lake. House had everything you could possibly need and room to spread out. Easy access for boat entry and dock steps away. Caught some delicious fish right off the dock in the early morning. Gracious and lovely family that provides excellent communication and information about the local area and activities. Could not have asked for a better place to explore Idaho and Yellowstone and make family vacation memories to last a lifetime.

We had a wonderful family vacation at Pelican Point. The property lived up to both its name (list of pelicans around) and the listing (spacious, clean and high end finishes everywhere). It was great to have all king beds with en suite bathrooms for the family. The house was clean and well stocked with every thing we needed. The location was beautiful. The highlight of every day was enjoying the quiet of the lake in the backyard and watching the birds with a cup of coffee in the morning. We especially loved the bird spotting guide at the house to teach the little ones about all the birds. The property was not too far from Yellowstone, which of course is a must do. We were happy with the host who was very responsive. We would recommend this place to anyone visiting the area and hope to stay here again!

We had an amazing time at pelican point! It was a family gathering so 8 of us and 3 toddlers fit with plenty of room. We have a tall family with 3 taller than 6 ft and the king size beds in all the rooms were a bonus. Robert provided us with great info before our trip including the nearest grocery stores and plenty of things to do in a binder especially for the one rainy day we had. The lake views were amazing! We didn’t utilize the in-law suite attached but it was a great added space with kitchen! We were able to make it into Yellowstone 3 days and a we had a day trip to Jackson as well!

The home was beautiful with all the amenities it listed and more. Bob was there to greet us when we arrived. I would recommend Pelican Point as the one and only place to stay - Not just words - it is a fact. Beautiful views of the lake and wildlife. It was wonderful to come “HOME” from Yellowstone Park and just relax. We were a family of 11 and we shall never forget the memories of a wonderful vacation and the relaxation this home brings. It was wonderful!
