For those more active vacationers, grab one of our two kayaks and paddle or fish along Payette Lake’s edge or pedal to McCall just a short bike ride away. The cabin is also just two blocks from a very nice greenbelt for walking, running or riding on. It's generally in the 50s and low 60s at night in the summer and there are screens to let the cool McCall night air in. Both the main house and bunk house have A/C as well.brbrIn the winter, it’s a 5 minute ride into McCall with its’ many winter activities, or, 15 minutes to the amazing powder skiing at Brundage Mountain ski area and just 25 minutes to Idaho’s newest Tamarack resort. McCall gets lots of snow so don't forget to bring your 4 wheel drive AND chains. If snowmobiling is your thing, there is a snowmobile public parking area and trailhead called Green Gate a few hundred yards from our front door. Also, explore the beautiful winter surroundings with your kids in tow with the new toddler sled we provide. The main house has a thermostatically controlled gas fireplace/heater, as well as, 2 programmable floor heaters and baseboard heat. The bunk house has a programmable floor heater and baseboard heat. All very effective in keeping things very cozy. brbrThere are two small bedrooms on the top level of the home; one with a queen-size bed, the other with two 80 long super comfy 12 thick foam twin beds. The main level has a large leather couch. For privacy, comfy naps or the kids to hide out in, the 2nd separate bunkhouse has a large leather couch on the lower level and a full size memory foam bed on the 2nd level loft. brbrThe fully-equipped kitchen is stocked with all the pots and pans, dinnerware for 8, and cooking utensils you will need to prepare meals. There is a six-person dining table with three extra stools at the breakfast bar. Cabin and bunkhouse are approximately 900 sq. ft. combined.brbrRelax and snuggle into the large sofa in the large common area and enjoy the large 50” flat screen TV and high speed internet. We are in a quiet residential neighborhood, with lovely full-time neighbors, so the only wildlife we want here are the ospreys, deer, songbirds, and the occasional fox. brbrThe 2,100 sf main entry level features 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a spacious great room with solid cherry floors, large kitchen with island and barstools, a walk-in pantry stocked with more kitchen appliances and extras, and a laundry/mud room. 10 ft ceilings and 8 ft picture windows looking east at the river and mountain views brings in nature's beauty. The 4th and 5th bedrooms are downstairs in a finished 800 sf daylight basement. A queen bedroom is next to a full bath. The little ski hill is terrific for learning. Ski equipment rentals can be found downtown in a couple of places. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are great at Bear Valley on the way to Brundage or at Ponderosa State Park.brbrA number of golf courses are found in McCall and at Whitetail and Jug Handle Mountain Resort.brbrOther activities close by include the bike BMX track and skatepark just a block away, the paved bike trail also just a block away that goes all the way down past the activity Barn, bocce ball in the courtyard of Bistro 45, disc golf just south of the high school as well as at Brundage Mountain Resort and Quaker Hill on Warren Wagon Road.
