This fully renovated cottage has three bedrooms, two baths in the main house as well as a separate bunk house with bunk bedroom, bath, screened porch, wet bar and game room with pool table and poker table. The home sleeps 12 in amazingly comfortable beds. We took the original 1938 cottage and completely renovated it from the top down: vaulted ceiling, all new lighting, kitchen, bathrooms and furniture as well as refinished original heart pine floors and fresh paint. We even found some shiplap behind the walls as featured in two of the bedrooms. This home is pet friendly for dogs!brbrMain House: Wraparound front porch greets you and has 2 Adirondacks for relaxation. Once inside you see the open concept Living Room, Dining Room and Kitchen. Close enough to walk or bike to everything…beach, galleries, fine cuisine, bike trails, markets, live theater, a family run book store, outdoor bazaars, and coffee shops! Natural landscaping leads right up to the canal dock. Owner provides kayaks for your pleasure. On the Canal is on a quiet dead end street and offers the ultimate in privacy.brbrFirst Floor: The main entrance into On the Canal is a foyer in which you will find the laundry room with full capacity washer and dryer. Up a half flight of stairs and then back down a half flight is the first floor den, bath and queen bedroom. New wood flooring on this level. The den offers a double sleeper sofa, 3 side chairs, side board, mini fridge and wifi-enabled SmarTV. French doors open off this room to a covered porch with Adirondack seating. From this porch, you can view the peaceful canal. The queen bedroom has pocket doors to close it off from the den area and is outfitted with bedside tables and lamps and a large closet with built-in drawers. The first floor bath is off the den area and has a vanity sink and shower. brbrSecond Floor Common Areas: Up on the second floor, you will find the open kitchen, dining and living room all of which look out over the canal. Vaulted ceilings grace all rooms. Kitchen / dining area is tiled and living room / bedrooms have wood flooring. Quartz countertops and ample cabinetry accent the kitchen. There are stainless appliances, including fridge with icemaker/door water dispenser, dishwasher, microwave and glass-top range. Breakfast bar wraps around and has the sink centered on it, allowing the chef to keep up with the folks in the living area. The dining area is adjacent to the kitchen and features a dining table that seats six. There is a convenient grilling deck off the dining area with a charcoal grill. Living room has sofa, 4 side chairs, large coffee table, LED SmarTV with sound bar.
