The State Park Beach is less crowded than any public beach access points.brbrbrbr- Walton Dunes Beach Access (1.5 miles West of Prominence) has a small parking lot, but no bathrooms, and is located just west of the Deer Lake State Park boundary. This access has no steps-just walk straight onto the beach. One of our personal favorites!brbrbrbr-Gulf Lakes Estates is a South Walton County beach access (1 mile east of Prominence). Small access that can be easily missed. Parking not available but easy bike ride to the beach.brbrbrbr-Santa Clara is a public beach access located at Bramble Grove Place (about 3.5 miles). This access provides a lifeguard, parking and bathrooms as well as ADA access to the beach.brbrbrbrTHE BIG CHILL (FORMERLY THE HUB )brbrThe community s town center, called The Big Chill, includes restaurants, shops, and an amphitheater. The amphitheater includes a covered event pavilion and is a great place to catch a concert, sporting event, or a movie on the lawn. This location is perfect for family outings! Be sure to catch the farmer s market here on Thursdays!brbrbrbrHOTSPOTS NEARBYbrbrThe location of Prominence is perfectly placed right in the middle of 30a. Located just 970 feet out from the Inlet Beach access, it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Grouper Reef is at a depth of 12-21 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs.
