The vineyards and orchards surrounding the Hacienda are great for walks. The Game Room is located across the courtyard from the Hacienda House, it has a sign reading `Hacienda Hall`. All other outbuildings are for storage and staff and are kept locked during guests stay. The vineyard is a working vineyard, there is staff on site tending to the vineyards, property and gardens from time to time.brbrA manager will be present at check in or will send a check in video with information on access and the amenities. They will be available via VRBO, phone, and text at all times during their stay. If there is an issue, please contact the manager so they can solve the problem.brbrCorral de Tierra is very quiet, peaceful, and serene. While the property is in a rural location, and a car is necessary for exploring the region, there are beautiful roads for cycling or walking around the property. There are also lots of parks within a short drive.brbrThe closest public transport is the municipal bus which picks up at the corner of Corral de Tierra Rd and Highway 68. Your host can help coordinate a driver or cab if needed. Uber/Lyft and other ride-share services are not a great option at this property.brbrPLUMBING: The property has delicate plumbing. Please be aware of this throughout your stay. Do not put anything besides toilet paper into the toilet. brbrPOOL, HOT TUB & SAUNA: The pool is not heated except by request (although the temperature stays nice during many of these months). Heating for the pool is available with advance warning and an additional fee. Pool heating fee is $500 regardless of the duration of stay, and we DO NOT offer heating in December, January and February. This is actually less than it costs to heat the pool up in most cases, so the pricing is not negotiable (the pool is very deep). Maximum pool temp is 85, maximum hot tub temp is 104. Please inquire with your host to add the heated pool as an amenity. There are pool towels in one of the brown deck boxes on the patio near pool.brbrCELL RECEPTION: There is no wireless cell phone coverage at the property because of the location. We have reliable wifi throughout the property, pool area, and outbuildings. Please keep this in mind if it will be an issue for you. brbrINFANT/TODDLER BEDS and HIGH CHAIRS: We have Pac n Plays (Baby Bjorn brand) available for the Hacienda House upon request as well as high chairs. They must be requested prior to check in. These beds are a `travel crib` style` and we do provide clean sheets. brbrQUIET HOURS FROM 10 PM TO 8 AM. Please respect our neighbors.

Adventure awaits!brbrThis house is designed for group entertaining. It is relaxing and comfortable enough to house 10 guests, while providing each guest the privacy of a private room. The house has a table for 10 inside, and a table for 6 on the covered patio area. A gas powered BBQ is located on the back patio as well, and propane is supplied for each guest. There are lawn games (bocce ball and corn hole) as well as toys/activities for the kids available (train set, house iPad). The living room has a smart TV setup with Netflix, other streaming services can be logged into using the Amazon Firestick. The Bixby house is located just 50 meters off Hwy 68, so is an ideal starting point for groups planning to spend time on the peninsula, in Big Sur, or at the raceway!brbrThe entire house is accessible excepting a small storage shed outside for supplies. There is space for 5 vehicles in the driveway. The neighborhood is beautiful and perfect for morning strolls, or a cycle around the loop (Corral de Tierra loop is 16 miles and is known as a cycling destination). The region is called the Pastures of Heaven and is home to beautiful rolling hills, seasonal streams, deer, wild turkey, and dozens of bird species. The neighborhood is quiet and safe.brbrI or my cohost will be available via Airbnb, text and phone throughout your stay. Please don`t hesitate to reach out with questions.brbrOur neighborhood is the lovely San Benancio Village. From the house you can take a stroll through the neighborhood, or easily access Highway 68. Monterey and Salinas are each 8-10 minutes.brbrThere are two bus stops nearby, but having transportation is best in this area. The house is easy to find, just off the highway, but not directly adjacent, so its quiet but close.brbrThis is a neighborhood, please be aware quiet hours of 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. are enforced. Please do not park on the street, ensure all vehicles are parked in the driveway behind the house.brbrThere are 3 HVAC (air conditioning) units, and 4 Heating units throughout the house. These are located: HVAC (Living Room, and in 2 Bedrooms), Heater (1 in Living Room, 2 in Bedrooms, and 1 in Hallway near laundry room). brbr***Please be aware the three bedrooms closest to San Benancio Rd. will be warmer in the summer as the HVACs are concentrated on the other side of the house. They also tend to be cooler, although the Hallway Heater is in the center of these 3 bedrooms. We provide portable fans and heaters for the 3 bedrooms that do not have their own AC/heating units.***brbrEvents are not allowed at this property.
