Wildlife themed decor fills every room. Creative use of wood throughout the open floor plan contributes to it's warm ambience. Stained glass windows hang above a unique curving stairway leading downstairs to 'the Attic'. Dual-paned windows provide comfort in all seasons. At night with all the lights aglow Rocky Top positively radiates warmth and beauty.br brDECK: 500 sq ft 2nd story main deck with gas BBQ and hammock offers lovely views of San Emigdio mountain to the north and grand sunsets over Apache Saddle. With a lockable gate and wire screen overlay the deck is KID FRIENDLY. At ground level below the deck is a 6'x30' wire-enclosed dog run.brbrFULLY EQUIPPED KITCHEN with gas range/oven/cast iron griddle, dishwasher, microwave, pantry, new Cuisinart Pro stainless steel pots/pans, utensils galore, bakeware, coffee maker and grinder, waffle iron, blender, popcorn popper, electric ice cream maker, juicer, toaster, electric griddle, food processor and glassware for every occasion (Irish coffee, sundaes, wine, champagne and more). Realtree camo dishes and deer antler flatware make every meal a special eventbrbrYOU'LL FEEL PAMPERED in the spacious BATHROOM. A portable crib and high chair are in the closetbrbr"BEAR'S ATTIC' downstairs is a 600 sq ft combination DEN/GUEST ROOM with bears in abundance. (It probably should have been called a family room, but with all those bears we had no choice but to call it a DEN!!!) It has a slate top pool table; comfortable sofa and recliner; 40'' Dish satellite TV; DVD/VHS player; a drop-lid writing desk; a LAUNDRY ROOM with washer/dryer. Cozy up with a good book from our library in the reading corner tucked beneath the stairway..and..be sure to visit our WILDLIFE RESCUE CORNER with cuddly critters for the younger guests to befriend. brIt also doubles as a 3RD BEDROOM with a Full/Twin bunk bed and a beautiful Aspen log twin daybed. It is easily closed off from the den for privacy via floor-to-ceiling draperies. A charming HALF BATH is close by with a separate SHOWER ROOM. A Thelin Parlour pellet stove keeps the room comfortable in winter. A separate entrance suits big kids and adults alikebrbrNO SMOKING, open fires or charcoal allowed on the property. We are in a national forest with the ever-present danger of firebrbrbrbr VILLAGE CENTER with a market, retail stores, restaurants, a pub, fitness center, hair salon, US Post Office, and more offers convenience in an Alpine setting.
