Rustic Beauty in Chamberlands Full Beach & Pool

Homewood, California, United States

Come and enjoy this recently remodeled `Pet Friendly` Chalet in the heart of Chamberlands!brbrThis is a truly unique home that exudes rustic charm along with modern appointments throughout. You`ll love the open `shared space` concept with spacious loft sleeping areas surrounding the great room below. With a central Chamberlands location, easy level access and free shuttle to full beach, pool & tennis privileges (summer only), this house is perfect for couples, a group of friends or families alike! The house is very well equipped and can comfortably sleep up to 10 guests. Please note, however, that due to county ordinance, we’re only allowed to host up to 6 adults. Additional children under age 16 are welcome up to a max occupancy of 10. brbrThe house was remodeled in 2019 and features a blend of natural wood and rock throughout. It has a very warm and cozy feeling to the house that is accentuated by the unique blend of traditional bedrooms along with open concept loft sleeping areas. brbrThe bed configuration is as follows: brBedroom # 1 - Queen (downstairs)brBedroom # 2 - Two twins (upstairs) brMain Loft Area - Queen (upstairs) brSmall Loft Area - Full (upstairs) brFront Loft Area - Queen Sleep Sofa (upstairs) brbrPlease note that the loft sleeping areas are an open concept in that they overlook the great room below. Each loft area is separate from one another, however, they do not contain 100 % privacy walls (as is the case with traditional bedrooms). For those seeking complete sleeping privacy, this may not be the ideal situation. The two traditional bedrooms are most suitable in that regard. brbrThere are multiple flat screen TV’s located throughout the home including a double screen set up along with an Xbox and Play Station in the front gaming loft! brbrGuests have full access to the home, however there may be a locked closet or cupboard for owners items. We have local property manager engaged to help with any issues that may arise throughout your stay. brbrChamberlands is a true gem to be discovered in Lake Tahoe. Located between Homewood and Tahoma on the west shore of Lake Tahoe, this neighborhood offers wonderful woodsy locations with many properties bordering on streams. There are approximately 300 homes in the Chamberlands subdivision, but only around 100 have access to the pool and tennis courts! brbrAll homes have access to a private section of the beach and can use shuttle service for transportation from their homes to the beach. The shuttle departs every half hour on the hour beginning at 11am with the last regular run at 4:30pm. The shuttle operates daily from approximately July 1st – August 20th. brbrChambers Landing Restaurant is a local’s favorite and located right next to the private beach area on the water. During the summer, offering an outdoor bar and grill during the day and open for fine dining in the evenings, Chambers Landing Restaurant has it all! The restaurant is open Memorial Day thru Labor Day. Pull up and park your boat at the dock to enjoy all that Chambers Landing on the lovely West Shore is known for. A long wooden pier stretches out into the blue water with a small bar serving the famous “Chambers Crush”. A white sandy beach and supervised swimming area is perfect for enjoying a day with family or friends. The restaurant itself features wonderful Tahoe mountain ambiance and outstanding food. It`s a short distance to the Chamberland`s Shuttle to the lake where you can enjoy the private beach, pool and tennis during Summer. Full membership to the Chambers Landing Recreation Association (including Pool & Tennis access) included with this property. brbrMinutes from skiing at Homewood Mountain Resort. Close to Squaw Valley / Alpine Meadows. Short drive to Tahoe City. Close proximity to Obexer`s Market and Tahoma Market, Dog & Bear, Cult Burger, West Shore Cafe and Where We Met Coffee Shop. Bring your bikes and enjoy the west shore bike trail.brbrPlacer County STR Permit # STR22-6713brBooking guest must be 25 years of age or older. brbrMaximum 6 adults per county ordinance. Additional children allowed up to a max occupancy of 10. brbrCommunity quiet hours from 9pm - 8am daily. brbrNo events or parties. This is not a party house and is best suitable for those looking to enjoy a peaceful time in the mountains. brbrNo smoking of vaping. brbrNo commercial photography and / or filming allowed. brbrWhile this house is “pet friendly”, all pets must be disclosed when booking and a non-refundable pet fee must be paid. Maximum 2 mid-size dogs per rental group (any others must be approved by host in advance). Guests agree to take full financial responsibility should there be any damage or additional cleaning required due to pets presence. brbrThere is parking for 3 vehicles on the driveway and no spillover for additional cars. Note that there is no street parking allowed at any Short Term Rental Property (per county ordinance). brbrSummer access to Chamberlands Beach, Pool & Tennis is governed by the Chamberlands Board. It is generally a very family / guest friendly environment; however please note that some guest restrictions and / or capacity limitations may apply during busier summer days. Guest Access Cards will be located inside the property and must be returned upon departure. Any unreturned cards will result in a $100 replacement fee per card.brbrNo outdoor fires or charcoal bbq’s allowed per county ordinance. On red flag days, no open flame allowed (i.e. no use of propane grill). brbrTrash must be properly disposed of within metal bear bin alongside driveway. Do not leave any food or beverages in your vehicle as bears will not hesitate to help themselves to your goodies and can cause significant vehicle damage. brbrHome must be properly secured (doors locked, windows closed / locked) whenever not present in the home. Important! Please make sure that all bungee cords are properly installed across all exterior doors / windows and turn on the system (light flashing) before departing. Failure to properly secure the home can put the home at risk and result in considerable damage if a bear enters the property. brbrThe driveway is on a seasonal plow service, whereas they come once per day when it snows more than 5 inches. They generally follow the road plows and will first clear the berms at the end of the driveway. You’ll need to move your cars so that the plows can access and clear the driveway (which takes less than 5 minutes once cars are out of the way). brbrThe front entry door is somewhat exposed to the elements. We do our best to ensure reasonable access to the property, but depending on the timing of your arrival (if during or immediately following a storm), there maybe some shoveling needed. There are shovels located onsite that can be used by guests, but we also recommend traveling with a shovel in case needed while in route.brbrWINTER ADVISORY: By reserving this house during the winter months (November - April), you acknowledge that you will be traveling into the mountains and that winter storms are common and often unpredictable. The dates that you are choosing to reserve are being held for your group and are therefore unavailable for other groups to reserve. In all cases, our cancellation policy will prevail. There will be no consideration afforded for difficult travel due to winter weather condition. We strongly advise that you pay attention to incoming storms and / or changes in weather patterns in order to help avoid travel delays or disruptions. It is also strongly advised that you travel with a 4WD or AWD vehicle, carry snow chains , and have a shovel that can be used if needed to dig out a stuck vehicle.brbrALL SEASONS ADVISORY: By reserving this house, you acknowledge that you will be traveling to the mountains and that Lake Tahoe (while beautiful) is in a natural forest setting. As such, it is possible that you may encounter spiders, ants, field mice, etc. at properties throughout the area. We take every proactive measure to prevent pests from finding their way inside the property (i.e. regular cleanings, seasonal deep cleanings, routine pest control - i.e. spray perimeter and crawl space areas, set traps, seal up holes of entry, etc.). Despite those efforts, there’s always a rare possibility that pests can find their way inside the home (as it only takes a very small entry point for that to occur). This is simply a reality of living in the mountains. By accepting our house rules, you acknowledge this Advisory and agree that there will be no refunds or adjustments to pricing should you encounter a pest(s) within the home.

Check-In / Check-Out PolicybrWhenever possible, we will be happy to accommodate early check-in and late check-out requests, within reason. In June, July, August, and during Holidays, this may not always be possible, but please do ask. Unauthorized late check-outs will result in a Schedule Interruption Fee of $150 per hour. The cleaning services cleaning team may not enter the property following check-out, with or without your permission, until all guests and all belongings have vacated the property. brbr02. Maximum OccupancybrThe total number of Guests MAY NOT EXCEED A MAXIMUM TOTAL OF SIX (#) PERSONS OF ANY AGE AT ANY TIME. Occupancy limitations are governed by City and County ordinances, as well as Fire Department regulations. Violations of this policy place the Property Owner’s Short Term Rental Permit at risk. Should the maximum occupancy exceed the limitations at any time during your stay, an immediate $1,500 per additional person County Ordinance Penalty Fee will be assessed, your reservation will be immediately terminated, and you will forfeit all fees paid. brbr03. Pet PolicybrTHIS PROPERTY IS EXEMPT FROM PERMITTING ANY ANIMAL OTHER THAN NO MORE THAN ONE (1) DOG. This includes cats, birds, etc., irrespective of their class as a service or support animal. The appropriate exemption documentation is on file with the applicable booking platform. brYour dog must be crated if left in the house alone for more than 10 minutes. Guests are responsible for providing the dog crate for this purpose. Barking, howling, crying, and/or other prolonged noise is prohibited at all times, and specifically while the dog is left in the house alone. This neighborhood and the Tahoe Community in general are VERY sensitive to pet owners who do not pick up their pets’ waste or “leave the baggie to be picked up on the way back”. It is against the ordinances of Placer, Nevada, Eldorado, and Washoe County to leave pet waste anywhere (even in the forest). Due to the sanitary nature of our cleaning service’s responsibilities, an additional $125 pet waste removal fee will be charged if a pet waste complaint is received regarding your stay or if pet waste is found anywhere on the property. brbr04. Maximum ParkingbrThis home allows a maximum of two (2) vehicles. Street parking is not available in this neighborhood and additionally may not be permitted by local laws. Guest(s) accept full responsibility for vehicle damage, theft, fines, or loss while on or off the property. There is no parking in the garage.brbr05. No SmokingbrSmoking (including vaping) is not allowed anywhere on the property—inside or out. Should a violation of this policy occur, an immediate $500 remediation fee will be assessed, your reservation will be immediately terminated, and you will forfeit all fees paid.brbr06. Quiet HoursbrQuiet hours are between 9 PM and 8 AM. Quiet is defined as the absence of voices, music, and other noises anywhere outside of the residence. The County Ordinance Enforcement Officers and the neighboring community are extremely sensitive to the strict enforcement of this policy. Response to a noise violation report may result in a $1,500 County Ordinance Violation Fee. In addition, should a violation of this policy occur, your reservation will be immediately terminated, and you will forfeit all fees paid.brbr07. Trash & RecyclingbrThis is bear country. We love and respect them, and everyone must accept responsibility for keeping them alive and the property damage-free. The Lake Tahoe Community is highly sensitive about the responsible disposal of trash and any type of wildlife attractant(s). Local residents routinely report violators to the local Sheriff’s Department, without warning. Bears that enter a residence, garage, or vehicle are subject to euthanasia by the Department of Fish & Game. Please know that it is against State Law to leave any type of trash or wildlife attractant unattended. Therefore, all trash and recycling must always be securely placed inside the locked metal bear box at the end of the driveway. Overflow garbage and recycling must be taken off-site by the Guests and never left in a garage, vehicle, near a door or window, or any other unsecured outdoor location. Guests assume financial responsibility for all violations of the law. Local and State fines for improper storage and/or disposal range between $1,500 and $5,000 per occurrence. In addition, should a violation of this policy occur, your reservation will be immediately terminated, you will forfeit all fees paid, and the Property Owners will be entitled to reimbursement by the Guests for loss of revenue due to revocation of their Short Term Rental Permit.brbr08. Housekeeping and Check Out PracticesbrYour cleaning fees cover a standard level of service, including floors and surfaces, linen changes, and laundry processing. Unlike a hotel, this is a personal residence, and as such, the cleaning fee does not accommodate excessive or unanticipated services not typically required for a residential stay. Thank you for caring for this property as if it were your own. brAfter you check out of the property, there may be a period of time before the cleaning service arrives. Our bears are very motivated by homes with accessible food and trash smells (even when the doors and windows are closed), so we kindly ask that Guests please:brbr(1) Secure all remaining trash in the bear box or dumpster provided, ensuring the door is firmly closed and locked.br(2) Load the dishwasher with any remaining dirty dishes and start the wash cycle.br(3) Leave used beds unmade (no bedding on the floor, please).br(4) We appreciate you collecting all dirty towels and placing them near the washing machine - we always love it when guests start the first load when they leave.br(5) Return Amenties Passes. Replacement charges range up to $200 for missing passes.brbrWe don’t want to put any undue pressure on Guests to do our job. We hope you understand, because when a bear breaks into a home, they are not eligible for a “second chance” or relocation option (not to mention the damage to the property). brbr09. No Guarantee of ServicesbrOur WiFi and electricity are reliable. Although rare, unpredictable conditions may cause occasional outages (this is the Sierra Mountains). Likewise, indoor and outdoor amenities that are listed in this posting and depicted in the photos are subject to seasonal, operational, and/or functional availability. Interruptions or lack of availability of any of these services and/or amenities do not alter the terms of the Rental Agreement.brbr10. Security CamerasbrAs a function of our bear awareness, your safety, and the security of the property, exterior-only motion-activated security cameras may monitor the front door, driveway, side yards, and other common areas. Tampering with or disabling cameras is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of your reservation and forfeiture of all fees paid.brbr11. Property & Property UsebrThis property is for residential vacation use only. Events, commercial activities, subletting, or transferring your reservation to another party are not permitted. In the unlikely event of eviction or other actions required to enforce the Rental Agreement Rules & Policies, an hourly administrative fee of $35 per hour will be charged to the Guests.brbr12. ReservationsbrFor weekend stays, all Friday night reservations must include the following Saturday night. Reservations that exceed twenty-nine (29) days cannot be approved prior to (1) submission of a State Applicable Residential Lease Application, to include but not be limited to written proof of income and performance of a credit check to confirm a credit score of 720 or higher, and (2) execution of a State Applicable Residential Lease Agreement. Payment for the cost(s) of completing any of these requirements shall be made by the applicant(s), upon demand. Note that security deposits and other upfront fees may apply.brbr13.
