Depending on rainfall, beaches are more or less underwater. Rivers are dynamic, changing over the course of the season and year to year. Russian River levels depend upon a complex integration of upstream dams at Lake Mendocino and Lake Sonoma, summer dams at Healdsburg and Guerneville, tidal influences, County water flow decisions and drought conditions. River water is generally clean and safe to swim in, tested frequently by the County. However, if River-based water activities are in your plans, please use caution and search for the Sonoma County Health Department's most recent recommendations for safe river use on the Sonoma County website. Luxury Redwood House across from the Russian River

Guerneville, California, United States

Summary:brWelcome to our fully remodeled oasis, perfect for your relaxing getaway! Our home features a chef’s kitchen, three bedrooms, private hot tub/shower and a shared pool with our adjoining rental. Enjoy the river access across the street for swimming or letting your puppy get in a run and walk around our bucolic neighborhood. This home is located close to the Sonoma County Airport, wineries, and world-class dining, making it the perfect choice for river getaway. Profile has links to all our homes.brbrThe Space:brUnlike our other rentals, this is our personal home and has been updated with luxurious amenities we are sharing while we travel, including:br- Italian marble bathrooms with bidet bathroom;br- Italian Marble covered built in cabinets throughout home;br- Fireplacebr- 8 person private hot tub;br- Private outdoor hot shower;br- Fully stocked kitchen;br- Multi-level outdoor decks;br- Shared pool with our next door rental;br- River access is directly across from our home;brUnwind in luxury designed to take in the spirit of the Russian River and all our community has to offer.brbr**Note, the casita bedroom is off the back deck and not directly connected to the home. Walking across back needed to access kitchen/house.brbrSee our Profile for links to our other homes.brbrGuest Access:brDuring your visit, you will have exclusive use of the hot tub and front/back decks. The pool is shared with out next door vacation rental - the lodge house. A board is at the pool to reserve 2 hour periods for private use if desired. The beach has 2 access points, the longer stretch directly across the street and a more shallow kid friendly beach access 6 doors down the road.brbrThe Neighborhood:brWhile this retreat feels like a sleepy river neighborhood, you are surrounded by everything you need. Wineries as surround the area for tours and tasting, (we recommend Korbel - one of the oldest in Sonoma County!) and you explore bucolic drives past vineyards as you visit St. Helena, Kenwood, Healdsburg, Santa Rosa and Calistoga. This area is best known for its wines, but there are some of the best breweries in the area too. If you like beer, be sure to visit Russian River, Bear Republic, and Lagunitas breweries.brbrVisit shops on Mainstreet Guerneville (1 mile), Armstrong Redwood partk (3 miles) or drive west to the ocean and small villages that dot west Sonoma county for antique shopping or hikes and relaxation.brbrGetting Around:brDowntown Guerneville is one mile from our home and easily accessible via car, bike or walking. To avoid walking the narrow windy road, we recommend parking at the end of Neeley road and strolling across the pedestrian bridge into the heart of downtown.brbrOther Things to Note:brPETS:brWhile we are happy to share our home with family pets, we ask they do not sleep on the beds as fur becomes a significant issue for cleaning the sheets and duvet covers.brbrPLEASE NOTE A $50 PET CLEANING FEE will be requested when pets hair adds significantly to the cleaning of our homes.brbrMore Space Consider our Lodge and Pumpkin houses on the same street.brbrInteraction with Guests:brWe are always online and available if needed and have a tremendous team that assists in our management of our four rental homes in Guerneville if any need arises.

This is fabulous for walking to restaurants, shops, bars and wine tasting rooms, and Johnson's Beach, but this also means guests can expect more of the urban experience than homes in residential neighborhoods or in the woods. brbrThe neighbor to the left is Country Coffee - a (fabulous) coffee shop that usually opens at 6 am on weekdays and 7 am on weekends. It generally closes at 3 pm daily and there is a seating area behind the coffee shop where patrons enjoy their beverages, talk, play guitar, let dogs run, and sometimes smoke. Along the back property line, all the neighbors are residents.brbrThere's a parking lot across the street from The Lifted Lady and locally unhoused folks are known to hang out there and the health center down the road. There are also screens on all the windows and sliding door.brbrProximity to wineries: There are several wine tasting rooms within walking distance of the house in downtown Guerneville and more than you can count within a short drive.brbrNearest River Beach: Johnson's Beach is the closest river beach, an easy .2 mile walk, and all around fabulous place to enjoy the river, rent boats, inner tubes, beach umbrellas, and grab a beer and bite to eat - when they are open for the season. Otherwise, you can wander the beach, but the boats and concession stand will not be available. Dogs are not allowed at Johnson's Beach when they are open for the season. brbrNearest Ocean Beach: There are many ocean beaches along the Sonoma coast, but one of the closest is Goat Rock State Beach just south of Jenner - 14.7 miles from the house. One of the beaches at Goat Rock is dog-friendly. brbrSonoma County TOT Number: 1470NbrSonoma County Vacation Rental Permit: ZPE16-0508
