My family has always enjoyed coming to Mountain View, Arkansas. The abundance of fish in the river, The Blanchard Spring Caverns, Sylamore creek, and the numerous businesses to visit along with the events that occur in the downtown district make this a perfect family vacation destination. You can enjoy all those things and at the end of the day kick your shoes off and relax here at Jackson’s Landing 2. We are located about 10 minutes from town, 3 minutes from Sylamore creek access and just down the road from historic Jack’s Resort boat dock as well as Anglers guide service. Our cabin is a perfect place to come after a day of catching rainbow trout or touring the local sights to roast marshmallows by a fire, play board games or just sit on the porch having conversations while watching the wildlife that surrounds the property. It is a very peaceful setting and private location that all will enjoy. Makes for great cool breezes on summer evenings. Here, the White River is tailwater from two dams and levels fluctuate daily. It is rare when the level is low enough for you to find a gravel bar and stick your feet in. It is not known as a swimming destination. Yes, you can cast a line from the bank but it is not ideal yet we've seen photographic evidence more than once of guest success. About a mile away are two public launch areas where we recommend family friendly fishing outings. The White River is famous for trout: rainbows and browns. Anglers' and Jack's Resort rent John boats and trout guide services economically. Boats can take you to confluences of other creeks where you can comfortably swim also.
