Our cabin is nestled on the east side of Big Lake Chetac offering beautiful views of the lake and fantastic sunsets. Big Lake Chetac is known for its fishing and water recreation. Enjoy coffee in the morning in the screen porch and a bonfire at night in the firepit next to the lake. The cabin has two bedrooms, bathroom with shower, living room with pull-out couch and gas-burning fireplace, family room with wood-burning stove, a/c, furnace, and a fully-equipped kitchen. We have DirecTV, a DVD player with a good collection of movies, as well as books and games for your entertainment at those times when you can drag yourself away from the water. We now have wifi!! You will find a charcoal and gas grill outside. We have a dock for your boat or for great fishing. We are located 25 miles north of Rice Lake and 20 minutes south of the famous tourist destination of Hayward, WI. There are ATV trails just down the road and two nearby boat landings. This is a cozy cabin for a family or couple getaway. We also have a pontoon with a 40 hp engine for rent. Inquire if interested in renting the pontoon.

This 3 BR, 2 bath cabin is beautifully decorated with all the comforts of home. The cabin is located on LONG LAKE, which is a 3,300 acre lake; the largest in Washburn County. It is known for its bass and pan-fish, as well as the ever elusive, walleye. Since the Boy Scouts of America own 10-15 miles of shoreline that is undeveloped, there is a private, wilderness feeling about that part of the lake. On the other hand, visitors to the lake can enjoy the convenience of 2 marinas and several bar/restaurants along the developed side of the lake. One of our favorite activities is taking a leisurely boat ride down to one of the restaurants for lunch or supper. The lake is 18 miles long with 99 miles of shoreline, so it could take several days to explore it all! brbrThis cabin is located on the large north bay of Long Lake which is great for water skiing, tubing and fishing. As you travel south on the lake you can enjoy the scenery of the Boy Scouts land and more good fishing areas, or stop by the sand bar for a game of volleyball.brbrOur cabin is one of 5 cabins in a private association called Whispering Pines, that at one time, was a traditional mom and pop resort. The nearly 2 acres of grounds are well maintained and the property has over 180 feet of beautiful shoreline with a nice gravel-bottom swimming area. The grounds and shoreline are shared with the 4 other cabins, but this is the only cabin within the group that is available for rent, so it may be very quiet during your rental week. You enjoy all the amenities at Whispering Pines, including a fish-cleaning house with running water and a refrigerator for your bait. There's a basketball hoop for shooting baskets, horse shoe pits, a campfire ring overlooking the lake, a second campfire ring right next to the cabin, and a wonderful shoreline deck that's perfect for early morning coffee or for watching the kids swim. There is a large guest dock that you may use to moor your boat. brbrYou will enjoy seeing a variety of wildlife; eagles, osprey and loons are common on the lake. Try and spot the eagles nest on waters edge just south of this property. There is a county forest located across the road with hiking, cross country skiing and ATV trails. A bait shop (and much more) is located just down the road, and Butternut Hills Golf Course is only 3 miles away. The town of Stone Lake is 6 miles east of the cabin with shops, restaurants, and wine shop. The conveniences found in HAYWARD, SPOONER, AND RICE LAKE, are all less than 30 minutes away by car.brbrThis cabin has been tastefully remodeled for your full enjoyment. The master bedroom has a king bed, it's own bath and smart TV with wifi. One guest room has a queen bed and the other guest room has two twin beds. Plenty of open water to navigate in your boat with about 2,500 acres and 30 miles of shoreline to explore. Enjoy kayaking, pedal-boating, or taking the rowboat for a lap around the lake! Plus the 18-hole Tagalong Golf Course (located along the Red Cedar Lake shoreline) is only 7 miles from the cabin! Also, a great location for hiking with the Ice Age Hiking Trailhead being located only 3 miles from the cabin. Take your mountain bike a few miles north to the endless CAMBA off-road bike trails around the Hayward area.brbrThe winter months provide incredible ice fishing (Hemlock Lake is a hidden gem). Plus, hop on your snowmobile and cruise down the back yard across the lake and you have access to over 250 miles of the best snowmobile trails in the Midwest! Because of the lily pads and water vegetation, it can be very difficult to get a jet ski (or jet propulsion boat) to the dock because the jet ski can get clogged up with lily pads / seaweed. Boats with propellers do not have this issue as they can power through the lily pads and seaweed by moving slow through the waters near the dock. brbr- However, the lake water is crystal-clear and provides excellent swimming locations once you take out the boat and drop anchor in deeper water, or pull up to sandy shorelines all over the 3-lake chain.brbr- Due to health allergies, no pets allowed.brbr- Ring Doorbell camera located on the front door of the cabin. That is the only recording / video device on the property.

Spider Lake is a chain of 5 deep lakes, totaling roughly 300 acres. The irregular shoreline and many islands, bays and coves make every outing on Spider a wonderful discovery experience. Catch fish from the dock or rent our Pontoon for an adventure! Swim the crystal clear waters from the swim raft in our private cove, the pristine waters are heavenly!brbrThe main level features a fully-equipped kitchen, living room and 2 bedrooms with lake views, and full bath. Ceiling fans in every room. Walk out onto the wrap around upper deck overlooking the lake and Washburn County Forest where there's a gas grill, plenty of furniture to relax on to watch the sunset and large tables to enjoy outdoor meals. brbrThe lower level features a Great Room with windows affording a beautiful view of the lake, two sets of bunk beds, a daybed and pull-out couch. A game room with board games, many puzzles, books, game/puzzle table and foosball table, also approx. 100 movies for those rainy days. Full bath and utility room with full size washer and dryer are also here. Walk-out to another large deck for an afternoon siesta on the hammocks or sunning on the lounge chairs. brbrAdditionally outdoors you'll find 3 dining tables and chairs, gas bbq grill, fire pit and a canoe, swim raft and floats available for your use. brWe also have a 24' JC pontoon w/ new 60 HP Honda and 4 kayaks for rent. ATV - Hiking trails are at the end of our long driveway which leads to the Tuscobia State Trail. There is plenty of parking for boat or ATV trailers.
