Super quick drive or very short cab ride downtown, walk to U-District, Gas Works Park the Arboretum, Broadway, Madison Park, Volunteer Park, and bike just about anywhere on the Burke-Gilman trail just across the bridge or at the extreme mountain bike course (look up 1-5 Colanade Mountain Bike Park). Jump on a paddleboard or rent a kayak just on the other side of the bridge as well - (Check out Aqua Verde Paddle Club and Cafe). Skiing and tubing is an hour away at Snoqualmie Pass, or you can go wine tasting at Chateau St. Michelle or check out Redhook Brewery in Woodinville. White water rafting is about 60-90 minutes as well.
