The deck is fully enclosed with a gate to the parking area and a gate leading to stairs to the lower level. The lower level has chairs and gathering space with an outdoor fire pit. A few steps down from the retaining wall leads straight to the beach. High tide will reach the first few steps. The property boundaries extend all the way to the point on the North (left if facing the beach). Each bedroom has its own character, outfitted with comfortable beds, pillows, linens, and guest storage space.brbrThere are two other cabins adjacent to the property but it is a quiet cove and you can go all visit without seeing anyone other than the resident seal, bald eagle pair, or the local osprey. If you are feeling more adventurous visit the film location of Practical Magic (town of Coupeville), watch sunsets at the sandy beach at Fort Ebey just down the road, or kayak over to Captain Whidbey's Inn. The cabin feels secluded but has conveniences not far (10 minutes to modern shopping & restaurants in Oak Harbor) and the quaint town of Coupeville is a few minutes the other direction for antique shops and great dining. You can see the world famous Penn Cove mussel farm right out your window (and a beach full of mussels as well).

The farmhouse was built in 1865 and is 1 of the oldest homes still standing in Coupeville. We have restored this home with gathering of family in mind. Inside this old house you will find everything located on the main floor, living room, bathrooms, laundry room, dinning room, and 2 bedrooms. The upper floor contains 3 bedrooms and a reading nook. The farmhouse kitchen was created with entertaining in mind, it has 2 ovens, with a large eat-in kitchen and additional dinning room.brOutside you will find a private yard where your only neighbors are the cows. Located just outside the kitchen, is the spacious patio, provided for you is a BBQ and fire pit. Relax in the yard and watch the cows, roast smores or study the stars.brThis farmhouse is the perfect location located just a short drive from the Coupeville Ferry, Ft. Casey forts and the town Coupeville. Close enough for a walk to the Beach or a hike of Ebey’s bluff. Numerous trailheads are nearby and take you on a hike around the prairie where you can take in spectacular views. Cyclists will love this location too, as it provides great access to scenic rides, or short rides to the beginning of Mt. Biking trails.

Every one of the 3 bedrooms has it’s own unique views, and there are 2.5 baths. Seaglass offers tranquility in a revised vibe. You have access to a private neighborhood pool, a long walking beach surrounded by wildlife, sights of all types of ships in the Sound, Bald Eagles, The Cascade Mountains, Otters, and whales are known to come visit. ALL seen from just inside the home without binoculars. You are close to Fort Casey (perfect for a picnic and kite flying), and Ebey’s point. If you aren’t tired from exploring all of that, you can finish your evening in any of our wonderful towns. You can wake up in the morning enjoying the pond from the screened in porch or finish your evening enjoying an onsite fire pit. Endless options!!brWhidbey Island is also home of the Naval Air Station and you see military aircraft flying at low elevation. Occasionally on the weekdays (no weekends!), the Navy conducts jet training exercises and posts the training schedule in advance at cnic.navy.mil. Look for the Outlying Landing Field (OLF) in Coupeville. Our kids love seeing the planes up close as they fly overhead, however the jet noise will be loud. During these training times we recommend checking out the boundless adventures on the island or take a day trip to Port Townsend on the Olympic Peninsula by utilizing the ferry the just down the road.
