Guests are able to use the lake and playground area during their stay (1mi from the cabin). There is not a lifeguard on duty at the lake. Swim at your own risk.brSnow: Tire chains are required in your car from November-May if you plan on going to Mt. Rainier National Park. During the winter months, you may encounter snow or ice in the neighborhood so we suggest bringing an AWD vehicle. We try and keep our driveway plowed as often as we can, but there may be times when you'll need to drive in snow and ice (weather dependent).brbrPower Outages: Occasionally, the power goes out in Ashford during a heavy rain or winter storms. We have a propane range and grill for cooking, and a gas fireplace for heat source. We also provide flashlights and lanterns for the evenings.
