Kitchen includes basic cookware, tableware, appliances, and a drip coffee maker (filters provided, but please bring your favorite grind). Down the hall from the living room are two bedrooms (one queen, one full), and a full bathroom. Downstairs offers a large living area with a game table, a dry bar, and wood stove with two large glass doors to the lower patio (and yet another fantastic view). The small house is well designed, with multiple sleeping options (2 bedrooms, den, and living room) despite its intimate size of 700 square feet. You will have full private access to the entire property, including a spacious gravel parking area for multiple vehicles or an RV. brbrRelax in the cozy living room and enjoy a family movie or game night. Prepare a meal in the fully equipped kitchen and share a picnic on the patio. Rest under the stars in the hammock or while roasting marshmallows around the firepit. A pullout couch bed and full bath are on the first floor.brbr- Much of the property's 3 acres is on a steep wooded slope behind the house. There is still plenty of flat terrain on the ridgetop. Ridgeline Retreat is about 2.4 miles from the Resort's main lodge and ski/bike lifts, and 4.2 miles from the Burn Barrel tavern, Pale Fire Brewing, RHouse wine bar & cafe, and the Basye Community Store.brbrPlease review the listing photos carefully. The chalet sits on a one acre home site with an extensive lawn accentuated by well-groomed mature cedar trees. The extensive lawn provides ample space for outdoor activities and the remaining four wooded acres invite exploration and connection with nature. The woods create a private outdoor living space with a large platform deck, hot tub, gas grill, outdoor dining, and corn hole. The large fire pit invites casual conversations and tall tales in the comfort of Adirondack chairs. Inside, the great room's huge glass doors, windows, and deck create the sense being outside, even when while cozy inside. Access to R&R Chalet is just six steps up to entry level, which makes for easy unpacking and a quick transition to R&R.brbrAlthough this property feels remote, Bryce Resort and the small town of Basye are a fun six mile drive further into the mountains. Bryce Resort offers downhill skiing and ice skating in the winter, and lift-access mountain biking, golf, and Lake Laura activities in the summer, and casual dining year round at the Copper Kettle Restaurant & Bar. Basye offers several other dining options and amenities, including Burn Barrel tavern (with pool tables, dart lanes, and juke box), Pale Fire Brewing, Smiley's Ice Cream & Mini Golf, and a Community Store (w/ gas pumps). Basye is your best option if you prefer to avoid stoplights and traffic during your visit, but the larger towns of Mount Jackson (10 miles), Woodstock (21.5 miles), and New Market (17 miles) offer a broader array of dining and shopping options.brbrPlease review the listing photos carefully. Two large patio doors open to the spacious deck with fire table and chairs overlooking the front lawn and cedar trees. The side deck is for fixing dinner on the gas grill, dining outdoors, and relaxing in the hot tub. The kitchen is adjacent to the great room and dining area and includes updated appliances, basic cookware, tableware, and a Kurig coffee maker (basic K-cups provided, but please bring your own favorites). The dining area seats four at the table. The main floor includes two bedrooms, one with a trundle bed (two twins) and the other with a king bed, and renovated full bathroom. The spacious loft looks out through the great room's huge windows, has one queen bed, and an en suite renovated full bathroom. A full-size stacked washer & dryer unit is in the main floor trundle bedroom. There is new vinyl plank flooring throughout the lower level and new carpeting in all bedrooms (all installed in October 2015). 4.5 quart programmable crock pot for your convenience. brbr2 queen size beds, and one single bed with a single pull out trundle under.brbrWrap around deck facing the woodland area with a gas grill. Tables and chairs for 6 for hanging out and/or enjoying a meal on the deck. If a pet is approved, up to 2 are allowed for a pet fee. Pets are not to be on any furniture. brbr4 flat screens are provided with access to streaming via xbox/roku/AmazonFire (guests log in with their own accounts). The roads are plowed by the resort, but due to some of the hilly terrain in the area, 4WD can be handy. Chalet is approximately 1.2miles to Lake Laura.brbrThere is a grocery store (Food Lion) in Mt. Jackson by Interstate 81, which is about 15-20min from the resort. Once in Basye, there is local convenience store/gas station that has a small selection of a bit of everything (basic grocery items, drinks, frozen pizzas, toiletries, etc). The resort has a restaurant in the Lodge and there is another diner style restaurant, the Hot Plate, on the right when you pass the convenience store on your way towards Orkney Springs.brbrOther Things to Note:brParking - Gravel circular driveway at the house. 3-4 cars can fit without a problem.brbrHouse Rules:brNo smoking inside the house, no outdoor fires are allowed per resort policy and wooded nature of the resort, no parties.
