This cozy pod are for those who want an extra layer of privacy and that woodsy cedar cabin feel. Our only Pod and our only dog friendly accommodation. To ensure those staying with or without dogs, we have separate linens and carpets to keep the space available for everyone. A private fenced viewing deck, hammocks, picnic table and firepit are key outdoor features each of our units offer. All our accommodations are at least 50 yards away from each other to provide maximum privacy. Inside the pod is a cozy queen bed to accommodate up to 2 people, extra blankets, lounge seating, board games, fan and a propane heater for cooler nights. Battery packs to charge phones. Complimentary coffee/tea delivery service and breakfast is available for purchase. Communal spaces are a fully stocked kitchen, grilling deck, Adirondack seating area, modern bathrooms and a cedar barrel skylight bathroom. Bathrooms are a short distance from the tent, less than a 1 min walk. Sauna is available to our guests. After hours check ins are available. br**2 GUESTS MAX. Please do not bring anymore than 2 people.brbrPETS – DOGS ONLY, no cats. As we change everything from bedding, to mattress cover to rug, you must CHOOSE THIS AT CHECKOUT. If you did not, please go back and adjust your booking. There is a $50 per night Dog Cleaning Fee (2 dog max) that is charged to guests bringing dogs IF we are notified ahead of time. Failure to do so will result in a $150.00 fine. If you email us to add this for you, a $10 service fee will be added. No pets in the tents. 2 dog maximum. Dog(s) cannot be left unattended in any of Glamping Canyonlands accommodations or buildings. Must be on a leash at all times. We have free range chickens and we have yet to meet a dog that likes chickens so keeping them on a leash is required. Chicken Therapy will be billed to all guests failing to keep their dogs under control. Poop bags provided to clean up after your dog(s). Dog Fee of $50 per night applies. The guest is financially responsible for all damage caused by their pets.brThe Pod has a dog bed, food and water bowls, poop bags, extra long lead, welcome treats and a bed blanket. brbrFIREWOOD & EXTRASbrWe sell firewood, propane tanks, fire starters, hand warmers, smores kits, alcohol and breakfast. All these MUST be purchased during open hours, 9am- 7pm. We have 1 full bathroom, 1 toilet room, 1 shower room and 1 seasonal glass roof barrel full bathroom (closed during freezing temps) brWe provide hot water, flushing toilets, towels, hand towels, toilet paper and organic bath amenities. Lockers available to store your supplies.brbrCOMMUNAL KITCHENbrWe have a fully stocked kitchen for you to prepare meals. brThe kitchen has a stove, flat top grill, bbq box, pizza oven camp chef oven, pots, pans, sink with washing up soap and hot water, plates, cups, seasonings, oil and more. brNo power so no refrigerator but we do have coolers for you to borrow. BRING ICE, we do not sell ice. ~Propane Heater. Bring 1lb propane tank or we sell them here (1 tank lasts approx 2 hrs on high, 5 hrs on low. These won't heat the space like at home but helps to take the chill out. brbrOTHER HELPFUL INFORMATION brWEATHER - We are located in Dry Valley. You will not find this on any map or weather app. Monticello, UT is the closest town with weather service and sits at 7000 feet above sea level. Moab, UT is the second town worth looking at, but sits at 4000 feet. The glampground sits at 6000 feet. Typically we are 3-5 degrees warmer than Monticello and 6-10 degrees cooler than Moab. brbrWIFI - Strong Wifi is available around the communal spaces. The Pod, Mountain Tent and Mesa Tent typically gets good Wifi but the others are too far to reach.brbrSAUNA – Available to our guests for $5.00 a session. You can make an appointment when you arrive. brbrWATER - We haul 400 gallons of water at a time so we ask everyone is water smart. Plus, this is a desert where we should be consider anyways. brbrFIRES - The only fires allowed on the glampsite are campfires. No smoking of any kind allowed. However, we do allow smoking in the parking lot or in your vehicle. br*If there is a county fire band, no fires will be allowed. You may reach out to ask if there is one. brbrPETS – No pets allowed in any of our tents. Our Sugarloaf Pod does allow for up to 2 dogs. brbrHEATING/COOLING – Each tent has a small portable heater but you will need to bring 1lb propane tanks. We do sell them if you do not bring any with you. 1 tank lasts around 2 hours on high or 5 hours on low. We provide duck down comforters and extra blankets so once you are in bed, you will be warm. Rarely does anyone complain about being cold while sleeping. There is no AC but we do provide small fans in the summer (June-Aug). brbrCOMPLEMENTARY COFFEE/TEA DELIVERY – Coffee and tea delivery service every morning free of charge when requested. brbrBREAKFAST, ALCOHOL AND SNACKS – Available for purchase between 9am-7pm daily. brbrLIMITED LIGHTING - To help preserve our night sky, we do not have a lot of lighting around the glampsite. A headlamp or flashlight when first arriving will help find your way. Once here, there is a lantern inside your tent and solar pathway lights. brbrQUIET HOURS - 10:00pm - 6:00am. brbrANIMALS – We have 2 14 year old dogs (Crow and Raven) and free-range chickens. They may come greet you or follow you to your accommodation. brbrWALKING PATH - We have 22 acres and 1/2 of the property is untouched and are surrounded by State Trust Lands and BLM. These lands are welcomed to be explored. brbrTOURS/ACTIVITIES – We are always on the lookout for local activities and tours. Please find our current offerings on our website or on our tour board upon arrival. br TUBES – These are available June-Aug. There are 3 lakes in the Abajo Mountains and 1 large Reservoir in Blanding, all within a 30 min drive. Tubes are available at no cost. br ASTRONOMY TOURS - Twice a month a local astronomy comes to the glamping site with an amazing telescope. You will learn about constellations, planets, dead stars and much more. Paid event. Tickets can be purchased on our website.brbrSUGGESTED PACKING ITEMS – Slippers, warm socks and beanies as desert nights are chilly. Check our Visitor Guide on our website for more suggestions. brbrStargazing - Bring a telescope if you have one as the night sky is one of the best features of this property! No obstructions so you will have clear views of the brilliant sky. We recommend downloading The SkyView Lite app and The Moon app. This will help you determine a full night of stars or the moon cycle (weather permitting). brThere is usually highway noise but around 11pm, it slows down.brbrTHINGS TO DO ON PROPERTY: Lay in the hammocks, take a sauna, astronomy tour, nature walk, stargaze, play board games, grill.brTHINGS TO DO NEARBY: Visit Arches and Canyonlands National Park, visit the nearby lakes and reservoirs (borrow our tubes), fish, mountain bike (rentals coming soon), scenic drive, hiking, many local tours.brbrWe are Keshia and Erik and we own Glamping Canyonlands. We live and run our business here so you will see us delivering coffee, cleaning, building or relaxing here. Our place is rustic and simple at the moment.
