They are fun to watch through the windows as they descent to graze in the fields. Be careful driving at night as they cross roads frequently.brbrOther popular summer activities include biking the Provo River trail, sailing in a hot air balloon, horse back riding in the mountains, ATV 4 Wheeling in the mountains, fly fishing, soaking the Midway Crater, or just hanging out in the backyard around the (soon to be installed) fire pit and roasting marshmallows. Hike to Island Lake and try cliff jumping, or if you prefer something mellow, Nobletts creek is pleasant in the shade by water. So many wonderful hikes in the cool crisp clean mountain air. brbrEasiest way to get around is by car but we offer concierge services to and from the airport and resorts for an additional fee for those that want true hands off vacation. As responsible hosts, we have agreed to a pest control contract with Uintah Pest Control to service all our properties. Sightings are rare, but are possible. An occasional sighting is not considered a reflection of the cleanliness of the property.brbr- For those with mobility concerns: Stairs are required to enter the home. Entry from the garage (two steps) gains access to the lower level. One must ascend a full flight of stairs to reach the main level of the home.brbr- There are two security cameras on the outside of the home: one at both upper entrances. The side door camera encompasses the entire side yard, *Including the Hot Tub*. We Respect your Privacy! Trails End Adventure Starts Here

The beauty of this experience is that its only 20 minutes for Heber City, but the feel is that you're in some of the most remote mountains in Utah. The experience is designed to get you off the beaten path and into some to the best mountain terrain in Utah to hike, snowmobile back country ski or explore on the UTV. Because of its remote location you are required to bring some essentials with you. You would want to bring and prepare your own food. We will provide you with the water, wood, propane and a portable toilet. We also provide sleeping bag liners to insure you have a clean place to sleep if you don’t provide your own bedding. The kitchen is stocked with all the utensils, plates, bowls, cups, pots, pans, grill, and even a pizza oven to use as needed. You are required to leave the tent in a clean manner, or a cleaning fee will be assessed. Rent a Six seater can am defender max for $400 or a can am x3 with 5 seats for some real power. In the winter months you will need to rent ether skidoos 850 summit x for $400 a day. Or Ski the 7 miles into the site. Or bring your own sleds.brbrbrWhat you need to knowbrbr Things to pick up from our home at 1650s 4800e Heber Utah. Items will be in box on front porch. br 1. The Pin will take you to the Trails End sign, the sign marks the parking space and the trail to the tent. From here you can also see the tent above you.brbrTent processes:br * 1. Once booked you will be sent first gate codesbr * 2. Once booked you will be sent second gate codes br * 3. Please be respectful of other owners in the area. We try and keep a low profile in the area if asked what you are doing in the area tell them you are visiting the Johnsons. br * 4. Wintertime shovel snow off deck and stairs. br * 5. To get in the tent undo Velcro straps, step through small opening and unscrew 2 plastic fasteners on floor. Keep screen zipped as much as possible to avoid flies.br * 6. In the warmer months bring cooking stove out onto deck to keep tent cleaner and avoid the heat of cooking.br * 7. Turn propane tanks on. Make sure to turn off at departure.br * 8. Propane runs the stove and the tent preheat heater.br * 9. Tent pre heat heater can be ran for short durations to quickly heat the tent. Turn nob to ignite, may take a few tries. br * 10. If woodburning stove is used restock what is burned from wood under deck.br * 11. When starting fire open chimney vent knob to be parallel with stove pipe and twist open vents in doors. br * 12. Once stove fire is going its imperative you shut chimney vent to a perpendicular position to prevent stove from getting to hot and burning the roof.br * 13. Open door vents to increase heat and close door vents to cool tent. br * 14. To burn all night, stock stove, with the larger pieces of wood and shut door vents and close chimney vent to perpendicular. br * 15. If using fire pit before bed or leaving, ensure fire is completely out. br * 16. In warmer months use water to cook and clean with. There are two large metal washing pans for this purpose. br * 17. In winter melt snow to wash and rinse dishes.br * 18. To sleep use the bed, Full mattress under bed, futon and two-fold out chairs.br * 19. Use clean mattress liners in sleeping bags and to cover pillows if you are using our sleeping bags. br * 20. Keep tent clean to help keep the mice and other critters away.brbrCleaning:br * 1. Turn all woodburning stove vents off. br * 2. Restock wood if used in fire from under deck.br * 3. If using fire pit before going to bed and before leaving ensure fire is completely out. br * 4. Turn all propane off.br * 5. Bring Sleeping bag liners back.br * 6. Bring water container, lanterns and porta toilets back. br * 7. Sweep and clean tent. A cleaning fee will be assessed if not cleaned. br * 8. Screw plastic fasteners back in and slide through the doors and revelcro door.brbrGetting there. brbr * 1. Maps will show you three possible ways to get there. However, there is only one way that works and that is to go straight up Lake Creek Rd. It will try to take you through Timberlakes. However you can’t get through Timber lakes or through the girls camp. Continue up lake creek road past Timberlake. The pavement will end at the top of the mountain. Continue on the dirt road for about a half mile where you will see the first road on the right. At the start of this road is the first of two gates. Use the first combo to get through this gate. Follow this road through some construction for about a mile till you reach the second get. This is where the road gets a little rough. Use the second code to get through this gate. Once through the gate you will cross through a couple of small streams and big puddles they are not very deep. After the water you will wind up a steep hill and make your way to the trails end sign and the park spot. Enjoy your stay.
