We love pets! The cabin is perched on the side of Hatcher Mountain about one mile from Wears Valley Rd on a paved county road. From the windows, you face Cove Mountain in Wears Valley and the Smoky Mountains. Enjoy the privacy of our place. Currently , there is only one cabin to the left of our cabin. To the right, 2 are being built and 2 are already finished. It is located close to the Smoky Mountains National Park, Pigeon Forge (9 miles), and Gatlinburg (18 miles). There are 3 bedrooms, one in the loft, one on the main level, and one in the basement. The loft and main level each have a queen sized bed. The basement bedroom has queen over a queen bunk bed and a sofa sleeper in the large game room. Each level has a full bathroom. Also in the loft is an office equipped with a desk, TV and bean bag chairs. A washer and dryer is located on the main level with a half bath. The living and dining area on the main level allows you to enjoy the awesome view through an entire wall of windows. If you get tired of the view, the living area has comfortable seating to enjoy the gas fireplace, reading, or the flat screen TV. Cabin is equipped with high speed internet. Besides a bedroom and bathroom, the downstairs level includes a pool table, game table, and TV. On the main level there are decks on either side of the house to enjoy the views, relax in the hot tub, eat your meals on the outdoor table, or cook on the gas grill. There is a concrete patio on the basement level to enjoy the sunset. With sweeping views of Douglas Lake and mountains framing the scene, you'll realize what a peaceful retreat was intended to be. brThree spacious bedrooms with private bathrooms will give you and your guests privacy while staying under one roof. brA full basement recreation room with 65 inch smart TV, pool table and karaoke machine will entertain your group while maintaining the fantastic lake and mountain views from that space. brRise & Shine has three porches that give unique views of the lake and mountains: one porch just off the living room/dining room with ample seating; one porch is off the basement rec room and one private porch off the third floor bedroom with a porch swing to enjoy the view with a cup of coffee. The fire pit on the side of the cabin is fun for wrapping up the day with smores and great conversation. brThe cabin has a boat ramp and dock which gives you access to Douglas Lake for fishing and swimming right from the house and bring your boat to explore the over 500 miles of inlets and coastline that the lake has to offer. brIf working remotely is needed, the cabin has complimentary guest access to WIFI and internet services. An office nook on the third floor overlooks the open concept kitchen, living and dining areas below … not to mention keeping an eye on the lake and mountain scenery. brA fully stocked kitchen has all the cookware you'll need to cook or grill at the house, as well as a crock pot, Keurig and blender.brWe are looking forward to welcoming you to our place!brOnly 15 miles to Dollywood and The Parkway in Pigeon Forge. Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains are local to this cabin as well.brPlease note: Lake Douglas is a Tennessee Valley Association controlled waterway so the lake level is controlled via a dam operated by the Army Corps of Engineers. Although somewhat unpredictable because of the varying amount of rainfall, usually the lake level is maintained fairly full from spring into the latter part of the summer. If your concern is being able to see the water, you can see it all year round. If you are planning to bring your boat and launch it from our property boat launch, make sure you check with us or local authorities to make sure you are comfortable with the existing water level. We have direct water access with a dock and a boat launch.brWhile this property is tucked away it is ideal for a few day trips to hike the Smoky Mountains or access to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Grocery stores are about 15-20 minutes from the cabin and it's a nice 30 minute ride to Pigeon Forge, and 45 minutes to Gatlinburg.brA second chalet with two more bedrooms and two full bathrooms is on our property next door and may be available for rent at an additional price, availability permitted.
