For the nature lover, several hiking trails within walking distance. Owners live in the upper level of the home. brbrWe can accommodate up to four people comfortably. We prefer children to be at least 8 years of age and older please!! There is a gas log stove in the living room area and wouldn't wish a younger child to touch it and get burnt!!brbrThe property is nestled on a wooded lot, spacious open floor plan lower accommodations with separate entrance. Fully equipped kitchen, rec room houses arcade console, pool table, foosball table and a hockey table. Living room has satellite television and wi-fi included. Queen size bed in bedroom and 2 queen sofa sleepers in living room that house children well. brbrOutdoor space includes propane grill, table and chairs with additional seating available. Also a fire table to roast marshmallows, cook hot dogs or to enjoy some heat on our cool summer evenings!!! Child proof skewers are provided!brbrOur cleaning standards are above normal with Covid 19 on the rise. I use an additive that kills 99.99% of germs for all the laundry loads between stays. I also wash all bedding that includes sheets, blankets, comforter, mattress pads and even the zippered pillow protectors!! Also all towels, shower curtains and bath rug are laundered between guests. We use antibacterial wipes on all door knobs, pool sticks, pool balls, air hockey, foos ball table handles and arcade handles!!brbrbr

The cozy Marjorie Suite is located on the upper level of the lodge, above Mr. McDonald’s private kitchen. It has a private deck and entrance, with stairs, located on the North side of the building. Parking is available nearby on the West side of the building. (We changed the name from The Family Suite to The Marjorie Suite, in Fall 2024. Marjorie was the name of one of Richard and Carol’s five daughters.)brbrThe Marjorie Suite is an open floor plan which sleeps up to 3 people. It has a king size bed and a single daybed. Accommodations include an in-suite bath, single sink, and a walk-in shower. A kitchenette was added Spring 2022 and includes: microwave, coffeemaker, dorm fridge, and an induction hot plate with cooking pans. (Basic cooking and kitchen utensils are provided.) This suite also includes free Wifi, a 32″ Roku Smart TV, and a portable air conditioner. There is a table and chairs for dining inside, located within the main suite area. We also have patio furniture on the deck, for outdoor dining, with lovely views to the north. brbrWe have incorporated an outdoor play area with a swing set for small children, located off of the rear deck between the Lodge and the Carriage House Cabin. (The swing set seen from the Marjorie Suite deck is for Carol Jean Cabin guests use.) The large meadow at the back of the property is kept mowed and can also be used as a play area. The meadow also hosts our local deer which feed there most evenings. Sometimes the wild turkeys come to visit as well!

It faces the front of the property, to the East, with views of the large meadow across the county road. This suite also includes free Wifi, a wall mounted TV with Roku streaming stick, and a portable air conditioner. (Unfortunately, the propane fireplace is non functional.)brbrThis suite includes custom wood flooring, a vaulted ceiling with considerable windows, and one king size bed. The in-suite bathroom includes a large jacuzzi bathtub with windows, single sink with expansive counter space, toilet, and a spacious walk-in shower.brbrThis suite is ideal for a couple, or as additional space to the adjacent Carriage House Cabin located a few steps away to the South.
