Shady Grove Cottage is a cabin located in the Black Hills near Nemo, SD, and about 25 miles from Rapid City. There are two units in the cabin, with one reserved for owners. Units are separate, with no connecting stairs. The rental unit is 1300 sq. feet. It has a lodge-like feel, with a vaulted ceiling, a 22-ft. deck, unique decorations, hickory wood cabinets, and stainless steel appliances. It sits on five private acres, with a stream at the end of the driveway, a lake just down the road, tall pines and aspen, and a million night-time stars. Hiking trails are right outside the door. However, we need to limit ATV's, due to landscaping issues. brAll amenities are provided, including a living room/great room area, fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer, towels and bed linens, satellite TV, and internet access. The unit comfortably sleeps 5 -6 on a king bed, queen bed, two single beds.brShady Grove is centrally located among all Black Hills attractions, including Mt. Mountain blue birds are everywhere and will amaze you with their beautiful song and their brilliant blue color! In August of 1874 General George Armstrong Custer camped in this valley. You will be experiencing history! The book describing Custer's expedition is provided for your enjoyment. History buffs will love it! With National Forest on three sides, this is also a great place for hiking and ATV-ing. Direct access to Kelly Spur Road which connects with over 3500 miles of ATV trails. Towels and sheets are provided. We provide coffee, tea, flour, sugar and basic spices. The kitchen is equipped with plenty of dishes, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, utensils, crockpot, dish soap, napkins & paper towels. The large room consists of: 1) a bedroom with a king, Tempurpedic-brand mattress, 2) a fully, furnished kitchen, which includes a full-sized refrigerator, smooth-topped stove and microwave, (Note: Does not include a dishwasher, washer or dryer), 3) a 50” HDTV with satellite TV, a surround-sound system and a DVD player, with lots of DVDs and 4) other apartment amenities. The Bungalow is well stocked, for your convenience, which will make your stay, truly, your “home-away-from-home.” Also included is a Weber propane grill, picnic table, a horseshoe pit, a fire pit and other outdoor-activity opportunities. NOTE: A) The Bungalow is located in a detached building, about 70’ from our home. Although we will be in close proximity to each other, rest assured you will receive the highest-level of consideration, when it comes to your privacy and the quietness of your surroundings. B) From Nemo Road, access to the Bungalow is via ¼-mile of well-maintained, gravel road.
