Our clean, cozy home is conveniently located in North Charleston. Drive 10 minutes to Downtown Charleston and 8 minutes to Park Circle. Many breweries, restaurants and attractions are close. There are 3 bedrooms and1 bathroom with a tub/shower. One room has a king, the other a queen and the third a double. All are excellent. The kitchen is fully stocked with a drip coffee machine, dishes, cooking utensils, pots and pans, etc. Enjoy WiFi, as well as a washer and dryer. The neighborhood is diverse, urban and working class, it is not fancy. Please read our important items to note below before booking!brbrImportant items to note:br**Our home is in North Charleston in the neighborhood of Dorchester Terrace, which is urban, diverse and working class. While the neighborhood is changing, and there are other short term rentals in the area because it is located so close to Downtown Charleston and Park Circle, it is not fancy, nor is it considered a good or tourist area. Many homes are being renovated, but there are still homes that are run down and/or not well kept. This is why our price is so much lower than what a similar house in a better area would cost. Please don't book if you are expecting a high-end area and are going to complain about the neighborhood!brbr**There is a basic TV into which you can plug your own device via the HDMI port. It is not a Smart TV and it does not have any TV whatsoever, so no regular TV, cable, streaming devices, etc. If you need TV, bring your own devices (e.g. Firestick, Roku, etc).brbr**As our home is older, we do not have a dishwasher. We provide a drying rack, sponge and dish soap so guests can wash their dishes by hand.brbr**Our home has 900 square feet and is single-level. There are two small stair cases outside, one in the front and one in the back, that you need to climb to enter our home. Each stair case has about 5 steps. It is an older home that retains its early 20th century uniqueness, including pretty original hardwood floors. They do creak and are uneven in spots, that is just how old floors are. We love them. The fenced in yard has outdoor tables and seating. Bring up to 2 cars and enjoy hassle-free parking in the driveway. There is a nice back porch and a balcony right at the lake if you are a cigarette smoker. No drugs, no exceptions! If we find any sign or smell of smoking inside the house, a $150 cleaning fee will be applied.brbr2) NO PETS ALLOWED. We are pet lovers, but for the safety and health of other guests with allergies, we have decided to adopt a no pets policy for our property. But if you want to bring your pet with you, there are a lot of excellent boarding facilities near our house. If we find any sign or smell of pets in the house, a $150 cleaning fee will be applied.brbr3) DOOR CODE: Our front door is equipped with a smart lock, and you will be given a temporary access code that will be valid from 4pm on your check-in day until 10am on your check-out day. You will receive the code two days prior to check-in. Please lock the door each time you leave the unit and upon your departure.brbr4) HVAC AND THERMOSTAT: Our house has an air conditioning system with 3 zones (1 thermostat on each floor). We ask that you please keep the thermostat set between 70 and 78 degrees. Please do not set the A/C below 70 degrees! If the thermostat is set too low, the condenser may freeze. Also, all 4 bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans which can be turned on/off at your convenience.brbr5) SECURITY: There is a doorbell camera installed for your safety and ours by the front door facing the two parking spots.brbr6) DAMAGES: Most guests understand that they are staying in someone’s home and treat it as their own. While we do not anticipate any issues, extra charges may be assessed if damages are found.
