It sleeps 8, with 3 small but charming bedrooms, 2 with queen beds and one with twin bunk beds, and a queen pull out couch in the living room. There is a washer/dryer for your convenience. Laundry detergent is provided. When you need a break from swimming, fishing, and exploring, there are plenty of books, puzzles, and board games for all ages, as well as a smart TV, DVD player, and DVDs for all ages.brbr*Please note the path comes off the end of the road, where there is a cul-de-sac for parking. The path is maintained by the Army Corps of Engineers. Due to the way Raystown Lake was created, the path to the lake is downhill, which means of course that the way back is uphill, and it is relatively steep at parts. This can be difficult for some people. If you would like easy access for kayaking, you can drive up and drop your kayak right on the beach at the Snyders Run Boat Launch, ~10 min away. The beach at Seven Points is free with free parking and offers more level entry for swimming, about 10 min in the other direction.brbrSheets are NOT provided. A kitchen towel and dish cloth are provided, but other towels are NOT. We do provide mattress pads, pillows, quilts. We do provide starter paper towels and starter toilet paper, as well as trash bags, basic soaps (dish/hand) and laundry detergent.brbr

Cabin

Where the signal is weak, but the connections are strong…

Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, United States

Feeling overstimulated by everyday noise and constant demands Family too big for a hotel room Red Hawk is a quiet, wooded cabin designed for intentional disconnection — a place to unplug, unwind, and reconnect with nature, with others, or with yourself.brbrHere, the pace slows naturally. Enjoy morning coffee on the screened-in porch while listening to the woods, spend your days reading or exploring nearby trails and scenic roads, and wind down in the evening around the covered outdoor fire pit — roasting s’mores, sharing stories, or perfecting your favorite mountain pie recipe.brbrRed Hawk is a favorite retreat for families visiting Penn State or Juniata College, longtime friends reconnecting, and professionals seeking a restorative getaway. You’ll be within easy driving distance of Raystown Lake (with public access points including Snyder’s Run and Seven Points), Lincoln Caverns, Trough Creek State Park, and charming local towns — while still feeling far removed from everyday life.brbrThe cabin comfortably sleeps up to 7 guests, with one main-floor bedroom and an upstairs loft. It’s well-suited for those who value space, privacy, and presence — not packed itineraries or constant connectivity.brbrMany guests tell us their favorite part of staying at Red Hawk is simply staying put: watching wildlife, playing games, enjoying unrushed conversations, and spending a weekend free from constant notifications.
