Kitchen has all new, updated appliances with an average sized kitchen table. Connected to the kitchen you have the first full bathroom (#1). Off the kitchen there is a set of spiral stairs that go up to the loft where there lies a king size bed. Morning views from the loft are hard to beat! brbrThrough the kitchen is the family room which has an open space concept with sliding glass doors/windows that that look out into the woods that surround the house. The family room also has a fireplace with wood and fire starting essentials to allow for a nice and cozy cabin experience. This fireplace really acts as the main source of heat for the entire cabin.brbrThen going down stairs you have a common space with another full bathroom(#2) and two bedrooms. brHighlands Haven is a luxurious 5600 square foot stone and cedar mountain mansion on its own full 1 acre lot. The landscaping around the home provides lots of privacy. It is also the only property in the area off a flat road with a flat driveway making it the most assessable in the area. Try to find any other like this.brbrThe property features 6 Beds and 4.5 baths, the house is the perfect venue for family gatherings and small group get togethers including bachelor/bachelorette parties, bridal showers and baby showers. Nestled in the perfect location in the Laurel Highlands, the house is located off Countyline Road minutes from 7 Springs Mountain Resort, 20 minutes from Ohiopyle State Park, 20 minutes to Hidden Valley Mountain Resort and 15 minutes to Frank Lloyd Wrights Falling Water. brbrThe Laurel Highlands area boasts tons of outdoor and indoor activities including skiing, hiking, mountain biking, rafting, fishing, kayaking, wineries, caverns, resorts, parks, sporting clays, golf, swimming and much more all within minutes of the house.brbrHouse amenities:brHighlands Haven has everything you need for your mountain getaway. Shampoo, conditioner, soap and toilet paper are stocked in all the bathrooms. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook for large groups. There is a keurig and a regular coffee maker. The main dining table seats 8 and there is extra seating next to it on the breakfast bar. The house is located in the perfect location on the way from Pittsburgh to Seven Springs Mountain Resort just minutes from the ski slopes. Seven springs is a full season resort with plenty of activities for every season. In the winter, Seven Springs is a ski resort with world class snow making in case winter doesn’t cooperate. Seven Springs has several restaurants, several bars, an indoor pool, sporting clays, axe throwing, miniature golf, arcade, snowmobiling and bowling to keep you busy if ski conditions aren’t good for a day! There are 2 more small ski resorts located 20 minutes away. Hidden Valley Ski Resort and Laurel Mountain Ski Resort are smaller resorts but are perfect for beginners and teaching the little ones! The Laurel Highlands offers a ton of activities for the spring, summer and fall as well. Spring and summer activities include hiking, biking, rafting, fishing, sightseeing, golf, wineries, caverns, parks, idle wild amusement park, sporting clays, zip lines, the alpine slide, pools and atv trails. Let’s start with hiking. Popular hiking spots include the Laurel Highlands Trail, Ohiopyle State Park and Bear Run Trails. There are a ton of other trails but those are some to to check out. My favorite are the hikes are Ohiopyle! If biking is your thing, then you are at the right place. There are plenty of downhill, single track and mellow trails in the area. Seven Springs resort has a good downhill course and you can rent bikes at the resort if needed. There are also a ton of single track trails around the resort if that’s your style of biking. If you want something more mellow then head to Ohiopyle and ride the scenic more friendly trails or just down the hill along Indian Creek. Next up is whitewater rafting! Ohiopyle State Park offers 3 rivers to raft. The upper youghiougheny is advanced, the lower youghiogheny is intermediate and the middle youghiogheny is beginner so there is something for every group. If fishing is your thing then head to one of the the many creeks and rivers to to some trout fishing. If the weather is not cooperating on your getaway then maybe take a day off the outdoor activities. There are several wineries in the area to check out that offer tastings, I would recommend Stone Villa and Greendance wineries. Both wineries are 20 minutes from the house and you can easily spend a hour or 2 hanging out tasting wine and relaxing. A good family activity to do especially if it’s raining is to check out laurel caverns. Another local attraction perfect for the family is Idlewild Amusement Park which has some fun rollercoasters and is perfect for the little one. Idlewild is 30 minutes away in Ligonier which is worth stopping to check out if you go to Idlewild. Another activity which I enjoy in Laurel Highlands is sporting clays. Seven springs has an awesome course and if you want to venture out a bit, Nemacolin Resort has a good course as well. Make sure to make a reservation. Nemacolin is a 38 minutes from the house and is worth checking out if you want to see Pennsylvania’s only 5 star resort. They have a small casino which is entertaining, several beautiful golf courses and a zoo on the property. There is another small zoo called living treasures 5 minutes from the house too which is a fun family activity. The other activities worth mentioning are zip lining, the pool and the alpine slide at Seven Springs Resort. Has 4 full bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, 2 balconies facing the ski slopes, 2 private heated in door ski lockers at condo building. Lockers are large - each fits 6 sets of skis, poles or snow boards. Skis and snowboards are prohibited from being brought into the condo. Condo was professionally decorated in a Bavarian - Austrian theme from top to bottom to include bedding and linens. Spacious and comfortable. Newly renovated kitchen, granite counter tops, custom mountain theme tiles in all bathrooms and kitchen, rock maple floors in all bedrooms, all furnishings, bedding, pictures, lamps reflect a Bavarian/Austrian Chalet theme. Master bedroom furnished with hand made and painted furniture imported from Germany. This condo has it all - charm and warmth you can't resist. Condo is decorated with antler lamps, mountain theme carpets, beautiful maple hardwood flooring in bedrooms and living room, imported custom woodland theme tile in all bathrooms and kitchen. There are many beautiful Bavarian decorations throughout the condo, to include Bavarian murals and Bavarian painted furniture accents, antler lamps custom made furniture, two flat screen 'TVs and DVD players, laundry washer and dryer in the condo. brbr Free resort bus stops in front of the condo. In Winter enjoy fantastic skiing from this ski-in, ski-out condo located right on Boomerang Trail near Chair Lifts 1 and 2. Chairlift 1 and 2 drop you off in the back of the condo. No walking necessary. The free ski bus (Stop 17) stops in the front of the condo on the ground floor. brbrTwo private, locking, in-door ski lockers located on the ground floor of the building. each locker can accommodate 5 ski boards or 6 sets of skis. I do not permit skis or snowboards inside the cond. Ski boots may be brought inside brbrBoomerang Slope (rated beginner - intermediate) is located directly behind the condo building. You can collect your skis from the ski lockers then walk about 30 feet to the Boomerang Slope entry point. At the end of the day you can take either Chairlift 1 or 2. Both will let you off directly behind the condo building. You can then ski to the condo building access area and ski lockers. Or, at the beginning of the day or end of the day you can take the free ski shuttle bus that picks you up and drops off at the main ski area near the ski renter, Willies Ski Shop, ski school and cafeteria. brbr Spring, Summer and Fall enjoy the panoramic mountain view from two balconies. In these months trails are used for hiking and biking. 7 Springs Resort and close surrounding areas abound with many enjoyable activities. There is white water rafting, a water park and amusement park all within less than a 30 minute ride from the resort.
