The first floor master offers a king bed, dresser, and night stands. The master bathroom and walk-in closet are located off the bedroom separated by a beautiful barn door. The first floor also has easy access to a powder room, open laundry area and closet. The second floor contains two large bedrooms with a shared bath. The bedroom, with a queen bed, sits overlooking the creek and also contains barn style doors that can be opened to look down on the living area and fireplace or closed for privacy. There is garage parking for up to 4 motorcycles upon request with booking. The rarely used front entrance has 3 steps and can only be open from the inside. There is plenty of space to roam, and I am working on creating a butterfly and pollinator garden! I have provided a fire ring for your use, however the wood is hit or miss on site. Sheetz sells it in bundles! Feel free to clear up any twigs on the grounds for kindling. There is also lockable storage in the shed behind the garage for your bicycles, bring your own lock! CLEANING AND CARE: Fox Haven Cottage uses sanitizing cleaners for linens, in addition the kitchen and bathrooms are disinfected with bleach and disinfectant solutions. Disinfectant sprays are used on encasements, upholstery, rugs, door knobs, handles, pulls, remotes, and switches. We no longer taking back to back bookings and require 24 hour respite between property bookings. Earlier arrival means more time to enjoy at no extra cost! Guest booked with 24 hour respite can arrive at 12pm and depart at 12pm. We are doing our part to keep our property in tip top shape with monthly deep cleaning, grounds and maintenance care. brbrFOX HAVEN COTTAGE:brEnjoy the seasons in Laurel Highlands at Fox Haven Cottage! Fox Haven cottage sits on 1.6 acres of grand Hemlock-wooded land and is surrounded by protected nature reserve. The McCullen Run stream is home to native trout and runs through the property creating a natural walking path along its bank. The charming storybook cottage is quaint on the outside with a flagstone path, patio and fire pit, and relatively spacious on the inside comfortably sleeping 10 on beds. The cottage was renovated in 2016 clad with rustic white shiplap and stained pine-board. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric cook-top with oven, remote controlled range hood, disposal, heated floors, wine chiller, and whole house water purification. The breakfast room has booth seating for lounging with trestle table for puzzles and card games and adjustable swing arm lamps for reading or remote working. The Living room has an large coffee table storing board games and a 60” smart TV (wifi capable), and working fireplace. Every window has beautiful views of the natural surroundings. The large roof deck provides stunning elevated views of the mountain side property, stream, and starry night sky. Beautiful Cozy Cottage nestled on the banks of the Loyalhanna Creek on scenic Darlington Road in the Laurel Highlands. Spend your days relaxing on our spacious back deck nestled in the large trees overlooking the beautiful Loyalhanna Creek. It will be hard to beat the sights and sounds of nature. Grill your favorite foods on our LP gas grill and enjoy the meal outdoors at our large table. You can also snuggle up to the beautiful gas fireplace with your favorite book. Watch a variety of shows and movies on the 40 flat screen tv with 100+ cable channels, Roku, Netflix, and Discovery+. The kitchen has a newly installed dishwasher and is fully stocked with pots, pans, silverware, and dishes, etc. The exterior kitchen wall is lined with windows bringing in sunlight and highlighting nature and the outdoors. The Cottage has central air conditioning and heating. An office area is also included with high-speed Wi-Fi, table, and a printer. There is a couch that opens to a double sleeper also in the bedroom/office area that is perfect for 2 guests. A fifth guest can sleep on a twin sleeper bed located in the living room. Our cottage will now comfortably accomodate 5 guests. A washer and dryer are provided in the basement. It's wonderful to relax on the large deck with amazing views of the beautiful creek below. A Weber LP gas grill is provided for cookouts. Enjoy evenings around the outdoor firepit on Adirondack chairs with your favorite beverage. We provide the firewood and marshmallows! We hope you will plan a future stay at our Cozy Cottage!brThere is access to the Loyalhanna Creek down the hill, but we don't recommend walking down the hill. It is pretty sloped and can be easy for our guests to slip and fall. Walking down hill at your own risk. There is an easy access to the creek straight across from our cottage. It is a short walk or drive across the bridge to an entry area that is only 3 feet elevation to navigate. There is also spots over there to park your car. br brIMPORTANT NOTE: NO SMOKING OR VAPING ALLOWED ANYWHERE ON THIS PROPERTY. brWe offer our Cozy Cottage as a smoke free enviroment.
