There are 2.5 bathrooms and this home sleeps 8 very comfortably. You'll love high thread count linens, European style bedding and fluffy white towels. This home will be a perfect home away from in Bend!brbrDOWNTOWN LOCATIONbrWalk 1 minute to reach Galveston Street. Many Bend favorites like 10 Barrel Brewing, Ariana's, The Victorian Cafe, Sunriver brewing and more, are there. Downtown is about a 15 minutes walk or 4 minute bike cruise. You can park your car in the driveway for your entire vacation if you like. Nest thermostats will provide even heat during your stay. brbrIf you like a little breeze at bedtime, there are ceiling fans in both of the king and the queen bedrooms. All bedrooms are upstairs. This home has 3 bedrooms (king, king, queen) and family room with a bunk bed (full and single). All beds feature crisp high thread count linens and European style bedding. brbrThe master bedroom is on the river with it's own private balcony, small desk work area, fireplace and smart TV. The ensuite master bathroom has gorgeous river views from the corner soaking tub. The master bath also has a walk-in glass shower with a very generous walk-in closet. brbrA shared tub/shower combination bathroom in the upstairs hallway is very convenient. Don't forget the powder bath on the main floor which eliminates trips upstairs during the day. brbrA Pack & Play crib and 2 high chairs are also provided. Please do bring your own baby linens. You'll enjoy high thread count linens and crisp, fresh duvets in all the bedrooms. Fluffy white towels and spa towels for the hot tub provided for you as well.brbrKITCHEN AND DININGbrThis lovely kitchen is perfect perch for watching the river float by. Whether you're at the kitchen sink, sitting at the bar or prepping dinner on the island, the river is just a gaze away. brbrThe french gas stove is a treat for the chefs and you'll find all the utensils, pots, pan you'll need for an amazing meal. Whether it's shooting hoops out front in the driveway or launching your paddle board off the back dock, soaking in the hot tub or curling up by the river with a good book, you'll find a bit of everything here. brbrJust a note that play gear is provided at the whim of the homeowner and the selection will vary. Currently there are some bikes, a paddle board, lots of life vests and other fun items. Please come prepared to rent toys if there is something you must have and it is not present. There is plenty of play gear in the garage. Don't miss the regulation height basketball hoop out front too.brbrIn the back yard, the real fun begins...Walk through the wooden gate and watch the river view open up right in front of you. As you walk to the river's edge, you'll pass the (seasonal) meditation pond and waterfall. Don't miss the salt water hot tub either! We do ask you to be whisper quiet in the hot tub after 10pm. The upper yard has a gate to the lower yard to keep kiddos safe from the water's edge.brbrAt the water's edge, you'll find your own private dock complete with lounge chairs and gas fire pit. Whether you choose to spectate or jump in, you'll love being on the river. In summer, there is endless entertainment in the endless parade of river floaters. brbrIn quieter seasons, the river residents are birds, otters and other natural wildlife. This is a unique space has charm along with an ideal location. ♥︎brbrThe calm, parklike setting makes it hard to believe you are so close to the conveniences of town. Relaxing is inevitable in this private sanctuary where all your needs are met. Please note there is a shared wall with our primary home so some family noise is inevitable when we are home. If you are looking for total silence, you may want to consider a different option.brbrThe private entrance to the right side of the home allows for coming and going at any hours. The covered walkway to the door has a table and chairs to enjoy the morning side, or afternoon shade overlooking an empty lot with chickens, trees and open meadow. You'll have access to a kitchenette (with sink, microwave, Keurig machine, ample counter space, picnic supplies, etc.), and a private bathroom (including bathtub).brbrWe are generally available to help you out with anything, since we live on the property as well but wish to respect your privacy.brbrThis is a special location: Old Bend but not vacation homes all around. You're in a real neighborhood that is smack dab in the middle of Bend. Incredibly convenient with access to highway 97, downtown and the Deschutes River. Our neighborhood has been described as, The last of the Mohicans of Bend. There are multi-million dollar houses two houses down, as well as homes that haven't changed since they were built in the 20's. Being 200 yards from the Deschutes River and bordering downtown, the area has seen an explosion in property values and, as such, is enjoying significant upgrades. The First Street Rapids Park has a variety of picnic areas, river access, and one of most northerly footbridges across the river, making it a popular spot for walkers, bikers, kayakers/floaters, and anglers. Please note that we are the only vacation rental on our street -- please respect our neighbors!brbrBend is certainly not known for it's public transportation, but fortunately there is ample street parking due to a vacant lot next to our home. There is also parking in front of our home.brbrPlease note that because the room is attached to our main home and we do share a wall, there are some normal household noises that will come into the room.brNO PARTIES. This is a quiet neighborhood and we live next-door. We are happy to share our space and are not unreasonable at all in regards to noise, but amplified music, late night loud voices, slamming doors, etc. are not allowed. We have had 300+ stays without issue, but we like to be transparent about the fact that this is not a suitable location if you are looking for a wild night. Also, please note this is listed as a 'townhouse' as there is a shared wall. While we did go through renovations to reduce sound transmission, there is some amount of noise that does make it into the studio (muted footsteps being the most common). It has not been an issue but we do want to point it out.brbrPlease turn the fireplace down several degrees before you leave. The furnace may be used if needed, but we do ask you to use the fireplace if possible.brbrPlease remove your shoes before going onto the carpeted areas when possible.
