This is a well-kept, 1,000 square foot cabin that sleeps six (6!) and has an AMAZING view! Beautiful sunsets occur nightly, serving as an evening highlight just out the front door! Mix in the songs of the loons, and your stress can wash away.brPequaywan Lake is a private lake with no public access, so it is very quiet, beyond the loons and occasional pontoon. We offer a swim raft and a “Lily Pad” swimming mat. The water is warm and clear for swimming, so plan on jumping in! The bottom of the lake is solid, but is a sand/gravel mix, so swim shoes are good bet to bring with for your time in the water.brAdditionally, we offer a pontoon for rent along with the cabin, available to renters for $75/day and fuel is included in that cost. Due to this low, accessible pontoon rental fee, we do require it to be rented for your entire stay when you add this option – but note that we do not charge you for your check-in or check-out day. Be sure to contact us with additional questions or for more information regarding the pontoon rental. To ensure that Pequaywan Lake stays clean and free of invasive species, we do not allow guests to bring their own boats. There is high speed WIFI, a television with an antenna along with a DVD player with some family friendly discs. Just outside the house is a nice picnic area with gas grill. A fire pit with comfortable seating is perfect for long conversations, roasting marshmallows, enjoying the Northern Lights or just snuggling under the star filled sky, we provide the firewood. Main floor has two bedrooms, bath, kitchen, and very large living room with a glass wall overlooking the lake. The living room also includes a gas fireplace. New hickory kitchen and living room remodeled in 2014. The house has a newly remodeled large cedar paneled three season room with four patio doors, and a great view of the lake. Lots of room in the house to set up sleeping bags or cots. Two decks and dock on the lake. The lake is only half developed, you can boat to a resort for dinner or go farther to the part of the lake that is wild and scenic (like BWCA), great fishing. Access to Minnesota state snowmobile trail across the road for hiking from the home two blocks away. Great house for large family groups, terrific in all seasons.
