Pioneer living in style! Sometime around 1890, a very talented Finnish builder crafted several traditional log buildings on Minnesota’s Iron Range. We are fortunate to have one of these well-preserved structures at the Green Gate property, and have masterfully updated it into a unique, historic home.brWe believe big things can come in small packages. The Log Cabin is a comfortable and very well-equipped home in a small footprint. This 1890s hand-hewn log cabin has been beautifully updated into a modern, cozy space. The 15′ x 15′ floorplan includes a kitchen, dining table, sofa and wood stove, plus a full bathroom neatly tucked below the loft staircase. Thanks to the Norwegian owner (who also happens to be an engineer), this Finnish log cabin is equipped with modern mechanicals including air conditioning, in-floor heat, and a high-efficiency tankless water heater for endless hot water. To complete your log cabin experience, there is also a gorgeous glass-fronted wood stove and always a full supply of firewood available During your stay. The well-appointed kitchen on the main floor includes a 2-burner gas cooktop, farm sink, concrete countertops, an undercounter refrigerator/freezer, coffemaker, teapot, and cookware/serving ware for 2-3 guests. A microwave and countertop convection oven are also provided in the nearby closet should you need them. Come stay at the Villas at Giants Ridge! We are located right on Wynne Lake, with a private beach. We have a tennis court/basketball court with two pickleball nets. The Wynne Lake boat landing is located right next to our property. We have an outdoor pool and hot tub - open during summer months. The Giants Ridge Pool & Sauna Haus is located 1/4 mile north of us and is open year-round (please note that they do require the purchase of a day pass and you must bring your own towels).brbrThe Giants Ridge ski hill is located directly across the road (grab your lift tickets ahead of time and simply walk across the road to get onto the Chamonix chairlift). The Giants Ridge chalet is ½ mile north of us. On either side, you will find two amazing golf courses—The Quarry is 2.4 miles to the south and The Legend is 1 mile to the north. The Mesabi bike trail as well as the ATV/snowmobile is located directly in front of the Villas.brbrOur Welcome Center is open every single day, so please do not hesitate to call or stop by if you are need of any assistance or need extra items for your stay.brbrVilla 121 is a lakefront villa with steps out the back that lead directly down to Wynne Lake. It has two bedrooms on the main floor, each with a queen bed. There is a bedroom on the lower-level that also has a queen bed. There is an open-loft with three twin beds. There is also a queen pullout couch in the living room as well as a queen pullout couch in the family room on the lower-level. The upstairs bathroom has a tub with a shower. The lower-level bathroom has a large jacuzzi tub. There is also a large sauna located on the lower-level that has a shower. There is a charcoal grill located directly behind the villa. We do not provide charcoal, but it is available for sale at the Welcome Center.brbrThere is a full-kitchen that is fully stocked (please note that we do not provide tinfoil, cooking oil, or spices). There is also a washer and dryer. Ten sets of towels/washcloths are provided. A bottle of shampoo/conditioner/body wash is provided for each bathroom. All beds are already made with clean sheets (pullout couches are not made in advance, but bedding is provided). A few bags of coffee/filters are provided for the 12-cup drip coffee maker. brbrPlease call the Welcome Center or stop by if you need any extra items to make your stay more comfortable.

The adjacent rustic live edge dining room table seats 8 people. Enjoy your morning coffee looking out over the lake across from the Legends Golf Course. The great room has a view of the lake, a remote control gas fireplace and high vaulted windows/ceiling that makes this a cozy room to relax with a book or a movie. The main level Master bedroom has a king size bed with a luxurious walk-in Kohler shower. You can't help but relax with the side jet sprays and the ceiling mounted rain shower nozzle. Also in this area is a laundry room with washer, dryer, sink and iron. The basement is also outfitted with a luxurious sauna that includes a shower. Right outside the basement door, you walk out on a natural stone walkway to the fire pit and down to 140 ft of shoreline and our 50’ floating Wave Armor dock. We also have a private sandy beach area for kids to play and adults to lounge!brbrThe lake shore slopes gradually up to the cabin with easy access for snowmobiles. There are hundreds of miles of trails just across the lake. Northern Minnesota averages over 100 inches of snow every year.
