Incredibly convenient, gracious home, perfect for large families. Spend days relaxing on the wraparound porch watching the boats sway in the harbor. Five minute walk to downtown, restaurants, ferry, grocery store, and library. Private path down to private section of the beach with plenty of room to pull up kayaks and other small boats. AC window units in most bedrooms (NOT in main rooms).brThe downstairs consists of dining room (seats 10-12), kitchen, living room (divided into a sitting area overlooking the harbor and TV watching area), glassed-in sunroom with seating area, and a laundry room with half bath. Also downstairs, with full harbor views, is a bedroom suite with private deck and entrance. The first room has a queen bed (has AC window unit), the second has a double bed (has AC window unit). Accessible through the first bedroom is a full bath. There is an outdoor shower (summer months only) off of the kitchen.brThe second floor has four more bedrooms (three of which face the harbor) and two bathrooms. The master bedroom (has AC window unit) has a queen bed, harbor views, and an attached bathroom (also accessible through the hallway). The bathroom has converted claw foot tub shower. A second bedroom (has AC window unit)— also with harbor views—has a double bed and a single bed and a private bathroom with a converted claw foot tub shower. In between these two bedrooms with a full harbor view is a small bedroom with two twin beds (NO AC). The last bedroom upstairs (has AC window unit) has windows overlooking the south lawn. It has a double bed and two twin beds and typically shares the bathroom with the master bathroom or (through a back staircase) the suite downstairs. FYI winter rentals, these last two bedrooms are not heated, but space heaters can be provided upon request. brFurnished with antiques and heated with cast-iron radiators the house exudes an old-fashioned charm and is ready to welcome you and your family. Travelers can park two cars in the driveway and leisurely stroll into town for a morning cup of coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner, shopping or to catch a bus at the ferry terminal and visit other parts of the Island. Bike rentals are available in downtown Vineyard Haven or Oak Bluffs. brbrThe first floor offers a spacious living room with fireplace, game table and cable TV. The dining room opens into a kitchen with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and a breakfast bar. For outdoor eating, the kitchen conveniently opens onto a private and nicely landscaped, bluestone patio with table/chairs/umbrella and BBQ grill.
