The bus stop is 50 feet from your front door and comes every 15 min in the summer. There is parking for two cars but many guests don’t even bring a car, you don’t really need one from this location. Great spot for catching crabs.brbrKITE SURFING - Well known for its great windsurfing, Sengekontacket pond is also quickly becoming known as one of the best places in the east coast for kite surfing. Vineyard native, Rob Douglas, earned the title of fastest kite sailor in the world & can be regularly found rippin' it up on Sengekontacket pond.brbrKAYAKING - On the far side of the State Beach, 10 min by bike, Kayaks can be rented by Island Spirit Kayak. They also offer great day and sunset tours island wide. brbrBRIDGE JUMPING - One mile down the road, nothing like Jumping off State Beach's big bridge! You'll regularly find kids and adults alike enjoying the 10' plunge into the cool waters of the Vineyard Sound on a hot summer day. brbrSNORKELINGbrNothing like the Caribbean, but the waters here are typically surprisingly clear. Floating around the rock jetties of either of the two bridges along State Beach you can ride the current in or out of Sengekontacket pond. Small fish, conch, starfish, crabs and the occasional Stripped Bass are your quarry. The free ride in the current is worth the effort. The living room has two leather couches that are right in front of the gas fireplace...bring on the ambiance! The living room also features a large flat screen TV with both HDTV and Firestick service. The kitchen is well appointed with a lot of counter space that won't disappoint anyone who loves to cook. We have both a Weber charcoal grill and a Weber gas grill for our guests to use. We have also tucked in a full size washer and dryer. The bedroom suite is very spacious with a cathedral ceiling and has a very comfortable king size bed, 2 night tables, 2 dressers, a flat screen TV, and a large walk-in closet. The full bath is to die for with a whirlpool and both indoor and outdoor showers. This home is quality built with upgraded textures including oak floors, tumble marble, & limestone accents. Unlike many Vineyard rentals, we have added central air and a garage (for those who may bring their convertible, or motorcycle). The garage also provides a great covered spot for your bicycles which we strongly encourage you to bring as we are located just off the bike path. PS: Currently all VTA (Vineyard Transit Authority) buses are free until 9/30/25. So if you don’t wish to take your car over, you can easily get around. Busses also have bike racks on the front so you can ride to another town and bike around it.
