You may be lucky enough to meet or hear other North Idaho wildlife on our property; Mister Moose occassionally comes for a visit, too.brOn warmer days you can sit outside on the covered porch or have lunch on the picnic table. Grab a blanket if you get cold!brChoose between sleeping in the cozy loft (low ceiling) or downstairs. If you pick the cozy loft, you must be able to climb steep stairs/ladder. All 4 beds are memory foam. The living room and sleeping areas are open space concept, so you won't find a bedroom door ;) .brThe water in the shower is temperamentalbrDue to limited power to the cabin, there is a tankless water heater which might not always keep up with the water pressure in the shower. The lower pressure you will use, the warmer it will be.brOur guest cabin is cozy, simple and compact. Take its size (+/-350sqft) in consideration when booking.--most pictures are taken with fish eye lense. Note that it appears bigger.brThe cabin is perfect for 2 people and ok for up to 4 guests. During the day in winter, the shuttle runs approximately every 30 minutes (first bus up around 6:30 AM, last up around 5:00 PM; the schedule may be extended on ski-resort twilight nights). At night, the shuttle runs every hour on certain days. The SPOT network also offers bus connections to nearby towns like Sandpoint, Dover, Ponderay, and Kootenai, making it simple to reach Schweitzer from town or nearby areas without a car. The agreement with the Army Corps of Engineers states the lake level must be restored to full pool level each year no later than July 4th, however, the last 10+ years the lake water has been at full pool level around the 2nd or 3rd week in June.brbr**Note: There is some adjacent construction occurring this summer.
