There is the Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, half an hour away, if you have a rainy day, or check out the Aquarium in Clearwater, where the dolphin Winter lives, who was made famous in the movie and sequel Dolphin Tale and Dolphin Tale Two. Book boat trips, deep sea fishing, parasailing, and sunset cruises in Clearwater Beach, Pier 60; 10 minutes drive. On one side is the intercoastal waterway and on the other side is the Gulf of Mexico with beautiful beaches, palm trees, exotic birds. and stunning sunsets. The island has bridges to the mainland close by. We also have sea turtles nesting on our beach. Note: There is no oil or pollution on the beach. You will find that the beach is clean and the water is clear. It is great for swimming and wildlife watching. You can see a variety of birds - pelicans, seagulls, herons, and egrets.
