Additionally, this section of the beach is all residential homes so there are no condo buildings (i.e., this section of the beach is generally less crowded than the condo sections). From the house, you can walk to Slider’s Seaside Grill (0.4 miles) for oceanfront dining, beach drinks, and live music. brbrTo the north, you will find Main Beach which features the Salt Life and Sandbar Kitchen restaurants, a playground, and beachside putt putt golf. From there, Amelia Island`s downtown historic district is just a short drive down Atlantic Avenue. There you will find plenty of wonderful restaurants, shopping, nightlife and local culture. Fort Clinch State Park is also located along Atlantic Avenue. The park features the 19th century Fort Clinch (still open to the public for tours), a great beach, and lots of beautiful trails for hiking or biking.brbrThe South end of the island boasts several wonderful restaurants, the Ritz and Omni resorts, a picturesque canopy biking trail, and charming local boutiques. We recommend checking out the Ritz spa if you are looking for a relaxing treat!brbrIf you go inland (west), you can find most necessities within two miles of the house. Sadler Road has a Publix grocery store, Starbucks, and multiple quick restaurants.brbrGetting Around: brbrAmelia Island is a small area and is easy to navigate! There is free parking available throughout the entire island, making driving very easy to any place you choose to visit. brbrAlthough Uber/Lyft are not very reliable on the island (we strongly recommend bringing a car), they are available through the app on your smartphone. brbrBike rentals are available at `The Beach Store` located a half mile south of the Ebb Tide Cottage. Please be advised that the restroom facilities will be temporarily unavailable for the duration of the project. However, the pool will remain open.
